Louise!! My husband knows your voice from how often I watch your videos in bed before falling asleep! You are just so amazing and inspiring. I love how you painted this one. I have 3 of your tutorials working currently!
Stunning!! Definitely trying this one on Patreon. I always thought painting white flowers would be hard but your tutorials make it easy. The gardenia was easier than I thought.
i hit the button subscribe the moment u show the painting. love it so much. and i learn so much from you. very clear explanation on each stroke, what color, brushes u use, and why u use them in order to achieve what u've been planning prior to painting. im glad i found your channel. thankyou ^_^
It looks as though you need to put every single petal in the right place. If you miss a petal in the drawing, it might not look like a rose. I think they are very difficult to draw.
Hi Sally, if I had a never ending supply of watercolour board I would always paint on that. It's always my first choice because I don't have to waste any time stretching it. It's ready to go whenever I am. I paint on the paper from time to time because I don't want my stash of watercolour board to run out too quickly. I don't think they make it anymore. ☹️
I noticed that you are using the Da Vinci Maestro brush. I ordered one of these brushes, and although it is pointed when I get it wet, it immediately squares out as soon as I touch paper. Yours doesn’t seem to do that, am I correct? I tried to tell them it was defective, but they won’t believe me.
Hi Julie, not this one but I am planning to do a white flower class on Skillshare this year. I needed some practice with white flowers so that's why I painted this one first.
I got mine in Sydney from an art supplies store called Parker's Fine Art but I've just recently found out that they are not keeping it anymore. I had a look online elsewhere and other sites in Australia are saying that they are out of stock as well. So I'm worried that Arches may not be making it anymore. I know Daler Rowney make a watercolour board but I've never used it so I don't know what it's like. I think I'll order some to try it.

Do you rub out the underlying pencil lines when the paint is dry?

Just wondering how you choose when you use watercolor board verses watercolor paper.
Louise, you mention a color called brown ochre....I've never heard of this one. Does it have another name?
I noticed that you are using the Da Vinci Maestro brush. I ordered one of these brushes, and although it is pointed when I get it wet, it immediately squares out as soon as I touch paper. Yours doesn’t seem to do that, am I correct? I tried to tell them it was defective, but they won’t believe me.
Hi Louise! Thank you so much for this youtube tutorial! I follow you on Skillshare, will you post this tutorial on Skillshare too?

Very nice, great information, lovely voice too. Mary Kosary
Thanks very much Mary.
Where do you purchase the Arches watercolor board?
