Thanks for sharing. There is a indent around the brass stove where you can use to prime in cold weather. Alcohol stoves always need a windscreen. Alcohol is safer for a spill because you can put it out with water. Use a pot coozy to cook you food off the stove. If you pour water over the stove to cool it down then use the snuffer it will go faster. It might even go out from the cold water being poured over it. Look into making yourself a "Fancy Feast" stove. They light very fast and start heating as soon as it's lit. Still need a windscreen 😁👍
The larger pot stand works with small pots you need to flip it over and put it on the stove…both stoves work best with a wind shield..,they will boil water much faster and use less fuel. Have fun stay safe.
Keep your stove warm and keep the fuel from getting cold. In cold weather I'd recommend a trangia 27 all in one. burner stand and windshield. You can get lighter but its a good system that won't fall over and works as it should. Oh, poor some fuel on the lip of the stove, it lights easier and heats up the stove making it bloom much faster in cold weather.
I think you should have found a flatter surface than the log. The instability was not helping you at all. A very realistic, true to life, demonstration. Happy Trails !
Cook in a tent? Madness.... LOL maybe with a flameless heater. I am such a klutz I am bound to kick the stove over inside a tent. Maybe at a push in the vestibule.
I meant in the porch / verstibule of the tent, I do this with gas stoves, when the porch of the tent ist big enough. I would never do that with an Alkohol stove.
This why i made my own. You can use the alcohol one inside .especially for windy conditions. But i regularly use mine to grill meat plus a coffee after. I take half an hour from lighting to eating. And thats letting the steak rest for 20 minutes. I do it most weekends when my taxi clients are having lunch. th-cam.com/users/shortsg_m2LNOg5zA?feature=shared

Yea, I noticed that I really matters where I place it. When I replaced it behind a tree, protected from the wind, it burned much better and slower
Thank you for you presentation ! Greating from Poland ;) Good luck as a youtuber !
Thank you! 😃

thank you for your ideas, but for me the danger of spilling a burning stove is reason enough to not use it for my hiking adventures
Dip a little stick in the alcohol and light that
Thank you, I will try 😀

The alcohol burner with two sets of holes looks bad, there is no way to stop it burning. Bin it!
Water 👍
I thought so too

yea, I ment not directly in the tent, but in the verstibule. But I didn’t know the English word for that 😅
You should NEVER cook inside a tent. Fire risk, How do you get out, Carbon Monoxide etc

jesus christ, its a miracle that you didnt burn down the forest, please do a course on how to handle fire outdoors
