It's essential to conduct thorough research, consider the long-term outlook of the companies, and diversify your investments to manage risk effectively.
Financial planning and retirement strategies are crucial, especially in today's economic climate. With global economic fluctuations and uncertainties, it's essential to have a solid plan in place to protect your financial future.
meh😏. No I did not buy Crowdstrike for my portfolio. I've been researching on it on and off because companies I've come across in my job are using their products
Crowdstrike was a black swan event but hard to decide to buy this falling knife. I suspect they will have to reduce their fees and pay up for this screw up.
My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.
I'd suggest you discuss with a proper advisor, particularly if you're new at investing or facing uncertainty. I personally have over 180 companies in my portfolio, so if few companies fail, I still have others that can hold me up.
Certainly, I've been consulting with a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since the outbreak. Beginning with an initial fund of $80k, my advisor makes decisions on when to enter and exit positions in my portfolio, which has now expanded to around $350k.
I appreciate this share. I set up a call with her and I am keen on getting to talk to her particularly. Lady looks really great though even with the exams and other stuff.

Probably one of the best stock investing videos I have seen on youtube. For you young folks out there; instead of jumping from one discord to another looking for the best stocks to buy, heed the advice in this video. 50-70% of your money should be in etfs. The other 30% should be in companies you already know about. Keep it simple. Goodluck everyone

Excellent content and advice! Love your etfs, but I prefer Vanguard’s MGK because of the significantly lower fees. Also, agree the 3 themes for future growth: cloud, AI, and cybersecurity. Regardless of geopolitics, consumer sentiment, even rates… that’s where big money is being spent.

Alex, c’mon. Seriously…..Qualcomm is a small speculative company? Please tell me how on Earth you arrived at this conclusion? QCOM is currently the leader in ARM-based chip design for computing at the edge and on-device AI; it has a long and well established history with an enviable patent portfolio, is a leader in chip sets for autos and the IOT, and has a market cap of over 200 billion. How is this speculative?
Thanks for the great information, Alex! Now that CRWD is still correcting since the global 'bug crash' last week, now more than 30% from peak, will you be planning to do a deeper review on this company?
I just switched up my Roth IRA to 50% SCHD, 25% SCHX, 25% SCHG, and my Roth 401k is 70% vanguard S&P 500 index, 20% vanguard growth index, and 10% vanguard international index. Seeking best possible ways to grow $350k into $1m+ before retirement in 3 years
The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off
Great video. Much needed as I'm just starting out. Getting a late start. I have 20 years left. My entire 401k is in the S&P500 so I want to be aggressive with my Roth. My question is, do I need a portion dedicated to dividends or consumer defensive stocks like WM? Or can I just load up on growth in my Roth?
Yes PLTR is definitely a great company I was looking at their income/financial statements and they actually have enough cash flow then they do debt so basically can pay off their debt and still have money left over they aren’t many companies at all that can actually do that so I’m very bullish long term on PLTR the only red flag w PLTR is they diluted shares when they really didn’t have to companies do that when they need more cash to grow the business but nothing too serious though
I have had this video open in a tab for a couple of days now, just to watch at some point as it wasn't high on my list of priorities. However, I just wanted to say that this video is absolutely outstanding for newer investors, perhaps the best I have come across in all my research! Great video and info. Why don’t you make an analysis of the fundamentals of Qualcomm or crowd strike and of the business behind the company? It could add value to your already good advices. Cheers from Italy
I appreciate the analysis. I've really like PLTR and I respect the conservative QQQ and QQQM. But I am always looking for small-caps and micro-caps that have a chance of being bought by much bigger companies
FYI, SMH started in May 5, 2000 and was called the HOLDRS Market Vectors Semiconductor ETF from Merrill Lynch, later acquired by VanEck in December of 2011.
Great analysis. Have you done a video on the Vietnamese economy? I think Vietnam has fantastic growth potential over the next decade, and a Vietnam fund would be a sound investment.
