Great content and enjoy watching the videos, but I feel this is not a good time to talk about selling Nvidia. I understand there are personal reasons for selling it but after the 10% dip recently causing people to get nervous and some even saying we reached the peak, it would have been helpful to reassure people to hold or buy Nvidia during this time. Thanks for reading and look forward to seeing more great content.
Sane and balanced content. However (to me), the title suggests that something is wrong with NVDA and it's time for a complete exit - which is clearly not the case. Otherwise, loved this presentation. Thanks
Thanks for this, I’ve been waiting for infos like this. I did make the mistake that you mentioned but and now I truly understand the meaning of “money missed better than money lose”. I guess it’s part of the learning journey
I really like your channel for helping me to understand these hi tech companies, which will play a big role in the future of our society. Some are stronger than others, and you point out how important each one is - NVDA - being a leader. Where I don't agree with your investment portfolio, is there is no diversification, and it's basically all tech stocks. There is sector rotation, where the buyers just stop buying tech, and these stocks drop. You should have some strong medical companies like ( BSX) - Boston Scientific and ( NVO) Novartis, both doing very well. Also you should have some small to mid cap growth stocks like ( ELF) and ( AXON) Also a couple good solid restaurant stocks like ( WING) and (TXRH) Also add a couple good consumer cyclical stocks. Like today, tech didn't do that good, and semi conductors lost big, but these other stocks are up. You don't want to depend on LUCK to get rich, but good common sense. As much as I like your channel, its scope is very limited to one sector, which is a dangerous way to invest, if things don't go your way. Love your channel tho, just think you need to diversify. The above stocks -- I own all of them, and doing well.
I took the time, which is valuable as anyome's else, to watch it to the end. At the end, you made it clear that you are selling part of your position, for personal reasons, but that wasn't clear at the beginning and during the video. In addition, it seemed to me that you're promoting a fund along the video - which now I understand I've mistaken - and the bots comments added to the suspicious thoughts. People took conclusions too early, but my suggestion for you would be making it clear at the very beginning. I'm still a subscriber, though.
@@TickerSymbolYOU You are a smart person, I know you know how, but I'll entertain. You didn't even mention selling your stocks until you get to the 90% of the video, then said "yeah I'm selling because of personal expenses and my portfolio wasn't diversified enough. I'll still hold Nvidia stocks, just selling some.". Then went ahead and titled your video IN CAPS saying "IT'S OVER GUYS! I'M SELLING MY NVIDIA STOCK! THE DOOMSDAY IS UPON US!". Then you suddenly have the shocked Pikachu face when people call out your clickbait. Don't watch the video, just look at the title and see what it is implying without knowing anything about what you are going to talk in the video. Maybe you need to look up the definition for clickbait, idk...
@@Bboy235 Honestly, I respect that. There are so many troll "content creators" out there that won't change the title or even tell you that they can do whatever the hell they want. Admitting fault is a virtue as long as you avoid the same ones in the future.
I only look around for ideas then research on my own. I don't rush my purchases... I bought NVIDEA five years ago and have removed my initial investment plus profit a few years ago. I have not sold in any individual stock since 2021, however I have reduced my indirect NVIDEA holdings in ETFs that have large percentages. I only have one loser in my current 10 individual stock portfolio, which is Tesla and I'm still dollar cost averaging buys with intent to hold long term.
This was an excellent video. I just found you on X, and this is the first video of yours that I have watched. I really like and align with your relatively simple investing philosophy. Looking forward to watching much more of your content.
I appreciate your video. I too was a fan of Ark funds. I have done better investing in NVDA and PLTR as individual stocks. Unlike your situation, they represent only a small percentage of my portfolio so I will be hanging on to both of those for a while. I keep coming back for your analysis of companies and the evolution of AI and the technology companies that are positioned to grow. Keep up the great work. The transparency that you have exibited so far is very refreshing. Thanks! RSB in NC
Congrats 🎉 I enjoy your personal stories and updates along with your opinions on the AI market. Things can get hectic will big life changes. I hope you find time for yourself and your new family (but also release new videos every now and then 😅)
Good stuff. I am a recent subscriber, even though been watching for a while. Thank you very much for interracting with the people watching your videos.
Great video and content! You've clearly learned a lot from your past experiences. With NVIDIA's stock price pulling back, could you make a video on your strategy for buying back? For instance, do you recommend waiting for a 20% drop from the previous price of 135? What’s your rationale behind these decisions? The science behind the stock. :-)
I recently watched your videos on NVIDIA stocks and decided to invest $500 as a beginner. After two weeks, the stock price rose from around $124 to $139. I sold my shares and made a $60+ profit on my first stock investment. This was just one day before the price dropped from $140 to $120. I recognized the signs of a decline, such as the double hill pattern I saw mentioned in another video, and sold in time and therefore avoided a big loss :) What an advancement for first time beginner investment :D haha. Thx for your detailed videos!
I made a similar mistake on one of my TH-cam videos thumbnail. The problem wasn't so much that it did not align with the content as much as it was that most people didn't watch far enough to see the direct connection. After finishing your video, I don't think the title was clickbait and it had lots of wisdom. My humble advice is that the more provocative the title is, the more necessary it is to justify sooner than later. Viewers are quicker to comment than they are to give a complete hearing
Thank you for changing the "Clickbait" title. Your channel is too good to do that. Honesty including the title will increase your channel credibility. Thank you again for your great work!
Great advise, love your vid's and perspective, with that said I would really like to see a video and your take on Qualcomm, Micron and Broadcom. Thanks I can't wait to see what you think and discover - especially Broadcom!!
Apparently the title has changed, but I would have watched it anyway. I want many perspectives on a stock, including possible reasons to sell. I found the video to be very helpful overall. While I've already learned your rules for investing the hard way (ouch!), I particularly like "money missed is always better than money lost." It clicked with me. I think it's a good mindset to have.
I invested ARKK, ARKG, starting 5years ago, dollar cost averaging. I dumped all early this year with big loss. Yo need to choose a solid funds not a speculative investment.

Love your channel. I may have missed this tropic, but can you provide a list of the best PC refreshing companies? Dell, HP, or company where your viewers can get a sense of hardware that will be needed for AI. Thanks.
Hey Ticker, you had quite a few people criticise the title. Your videos are very good and this is certainly an informative video but I think personally the title was a bit vague and confused people as to what the video was actually going to contain. Might be worth changing it to be more specific…
Thank you for this video. I have liquidated most of my flat stocks and all in on Nvidia. This video quite honestly scared the hell out of me. nearly 60k in. had 8k profit and then in one day sitting at 1400 profit. my question as a relatively new trader is when is the best time to take profit? sell off the most expensive shares you bought first?
I'd like to see a video from you showing your system on how you determine something is under or overvalued and how you analyze these different companies to determine if they're a buy, hold or sell.
Following you since 3 years. Great summary, great personal insights in this video. Did you sell TDOC? DNA? Or like PATH still giving them 2-3 more quarters to see what happens after interest rates fall? Thx Alex ❤
"Value doesn't mean you always agree" is a great perspective! What's really valuable is to know, what's out there and simply because so many points of view are diametrically opposite to one another, it's guaranteed that there will be many things that you disagree with. Keeping them out of your view because you feel offended by them just limits your awareness like wearing blinkers.
Although is a clickbait, is good to have youtuber like you to keep reminding investors about strong fundamental of investing. All of us might be too greedy and sometime might forgot the simple rule for investing. Thanks for the advice.
I rarely comment but I thought the investing principles in this video that you propose and have learned from in experience are very valuable. Especially the quotes from Warren Buffett where he looks at a company and not so much the stock price
Clearly you have competition/weird adversaries attacking you en masse with clickbait accusations. Your content is well-considered, well-produced, and well-presented. Much appreciated. Curious about a comment you made almost in passing toward the end of the video re mistakes made by Tesla investors. Could you please elaborate? Cheers
Good advice. You can't go far wrong by following Buffett's wisdom. All though, I don't remember any Buffett quotes about cutting winning stocks. In fact, I see that Buffett's practice is to sale all of his shares of a stock rather than to sell part of his holdings. I don't follow the practice of cutting stocks, because they have gone up in value. I made a similar comment when Brown announced he was cutting his holdings of NVDA stock.
Clickbait, for the simple reason that your title implies that you're selling your entire position. But honestly, don't really care, and don't blame you for doing it. Part of the business.
Love your content, ignore the critical comments. I genuinely think you're just doing your best to provide information, everything is overviewed at the beginning and time stamped. Idk why people even get all butthurt about clickbait titles on youtube these days, not that I see anything wrong with the current one. I personally feel like you have one of the better orderly presentation formats that I've seen on youtube and have more to say than merely opinion.
This is really excellent advice. Im still bullish on $TSLA and believe that Optimus could be the next model 3 moment BEFORE FSD. The interest rate hikes was definitely a lesson. I thought the stock would be ok because low debt but it was really the 2nd and 3rd order effects that got it: investors with high debt using their profits to pay them off and people not being able to afford cars due to rates higher for longer.
Selling a stock because it became a big portion of your portfolio is not for me. I only sell if something has change in the company. Lower profit margin. Lower sales. Losing market share. None of this is happening with NVDA. I will hold and periodically add on price drop until their story changes.
It’s another great video Alex and made with the very best of intentions. If people watched past the title they would realize that. I really appreciate your research, expertise and lessons learned. Thank you!
When there is a lot of hype over something and the FOMO is too much to bear a token position if you like the price is an agnostic way to be in without betting the bank. If you take individual superstocks of the past, there have been several times in history where they were cheap before getting expensive and the token position can be a way to have an anchoring point to watch if it becomes cheaper. In 2022 and early 2023 the Ark funds were quite cheap by traditional value fundamentals. People who averaged down a little at a time did ok. As for the price to sales ratio, I don't see it as uniquely a way to compare two different companies. When a company wants to acquire another they will sometimes offer an amount of money which is a factor of a year's sales. Cable companies will sometimes do this. As for having large gains on the table one school of though is to sell half if you're really not sure. Peter Lynch said that selling a quality company just because it went up was like pulling up the flowers to water the weeds. You also can't get a ten bagger if you sell once it has doubled, so one school of though is to simply hold until the business starts to deteriorate.
@tickersymbolyou Can you talk a bit about short term capital gain tax eating into the profits when you sell some of these in-the-money stocks - maybe do a video on taxes.
Sounds like cutting your flowers to water your weeds. Reminds me of Josh Brown selling NVDA below 700 and then a few weeks later said he would never sell more. Warren Buffett let his AAPL grow to a massively oversized position. His recent sells earlier this year already look like a mistake and I can't help but wonder what the late great Charlie Munger would have advised him since he did say selling AAPL previously was a mistake. Anyway, keep up the good work I enjoy your videos.
Nvidia is not your typical stock. I mean is basically out of this world. If you look at the world of ants and you look at Nvidia you will see a tremendous similarity. is an army working together. everyone knows their to role. The ideas yet to come are inexplicable.
Nvidia has nothing to do with ants. It functions as a for profit enterprise, just like its competition. Only difference is that it has 1) first move advantage in to a new market niche and 2) a product that it rare, valuable, non-substitutable, and hard to imitate. Consequently, Nvidia will needed to what every market leaders needs to do in order to maintain their competitive advantage - innovate or create a monolopy.
Thanks for the Video. I don't mind clickbait and like this video. But you should consider making the Title more open ended. If the subject is money many people will get defensive. You still can trigger emotions without making people feel like their being lied at. At the end it is better to have a good reputation with many, instead with only the people who value the entire work. Gives you more leverage. But this is just an opinion. As said I don't mind it, I know how the attention game is setup right now. As long as the video has qualities information the you don't need to worry about clickbait. Thanks for the Video.
I like your way of thinking . NVDA is a good long term stock but I like Warren Buffett sold Apple time to time- can’t afford to go to sleep while you are invested and you don’t have ample money.
I came to a similar opinion today regarding NVDA before seeing this video. Sometimes there's too much enthusiasm for a stock and it pays to sell into that.
Nvidia is gonna keep growing regardless of what happens with pullbacks/crashes. It's the Amazon of retail (without even looking at their other services). it just might take some time, as all investment related things do.
I remember Kathy Woods and Bill Ackman’s PSTH during pandemic… they cost me a lot of $$$$$ in stock losses. Same hear.. never gonna listen to Ark Invest, just follow my own decisions in investing
So you’re taking profits to fund major personal lifestyle needs and changes . . .thats basically what your doing selling nvda now . Buy low sell high works but almost impossible to consistently pull off. These are just basic truths in any market!
Firstly, this is NOT clickbait. Not sure what video the rest are watching. He’s telling the story of why he has to sell some shares of NVIDIA even though he believes in the company. Second, I wanted to say I made the same mistake in 2020-2021, as a new investor, trusting the Motley Fool to help me invest. I was down 50% at the beginning of 2022. I’m now in the green by buying quality companies all through 2022-2024. Don’t trust anyone but yourself to make these decisions.
Sorry for the "clickbait" title. I just want to save you from repeating my (very expensive) mistakes and explain why I'm selling some of my shares. Nvidia obviously still has a very long and bright future!

I really like your channel for helping me to understand these hi tech companies,
which will play a big role in the future of our society. Some are stronger than
others, and you point out how important each one is - NVDA - being a leader.
Where I don't agree with your investment portfolio, is there is no diversification,
and it's basically all tech stocks. There is sector rotation, where the buyers just
stop buying tech, and these stocks drop. You should have some strong medical
companies like ( BSX) - Boston Scientific and ( NVO) Novartis, both doing very well.
Also you should have some small to mid cap growth stocks like ( ELF) and ( AXON)
Also a couple good solid restaurant stocks like ( WING) and (TXRH) Also add a
couple good consumer cyclical stocks.
Like today, tech didn't do that good, and semi conductors lost big, but these other
stocks are up. You don't want to depend on LUCK to get rich, but good common
sense. As much as I like your channel, its scope is very limited to one sector, which
is a dangerous way to invest, if things don't go your way. Love your channel tho,
just think you need to diversify.
I didn’t promote any fund??
@@TickerSymbolYOU sorry if I misunderstood that, I'm not a English native speaker.

How in the world is this clickbait in any way?
@@TickerSymbolYOU you know good and well how it's clickbait, stop lying !
Changed the title real quick
Sage advice. I've been DCAing out of NVDA to ETFs and cash for the last month. Still holding a large, but comfortable, amount of NVDA.
Thanks!

My pleasure. I love sharing and interacting with my audience
Hey Alan, Thanks for the great content. Would you cover stocks that are not hyped right now however have good capabilities and potential to grow !
What yo described is trading, not investing
I made a similar mistake on one of my TH-cam videos thumbnail. The problem wasn't so much that it did not align with the content as much as it was that most people didn't watch far enough to see the direct connection. After finishing your video, I don't think the title was clickbait and it had lots of wisdom. My humble advice is that the more provocative the title is, the more necessary it is to justify sooner than later. Viewers are quicker to comment than they are to give a complete hearing

Yoo hoo! Miss your posts!! I’m still buying nvda dips. Holding for 2-3 years.
Just taking a quick summer break :)

PLEASE Do not use this kind of tittle, it is Click Bait if you are not doing what implies in the tittle , the tittle could be Time to Rebalance NVDA ?
You are right. Lost money in twlio, roku. Sold them at a Hugh loss 😢. Totally agree on dollar cost average. Love listening to you. Great job.
Hey Ticker, you had quite a few people criticise the title. Your videos are very good and this is certainly an informative video but I think personally the title was a bit vague and confused people as to what the video was actually going to contain. Might be worth changing it to be more specific…
I also should’ve added, it’s probably more a combo of the thumbnail & title
Nice rec on POET. Up bigly today 🙂
Thx Alex ❤
Awesome content! Can you make a video about ASML?
"Value doesn't mean you always agree" is a great perspective! What's really valuable is to know, what's out there and simply because so many points of view are diametrically opposite to one another, it's guaranteed that there will be many things that you disagree with. Keeping them out of your view because you feel offended by them just limits your awareness like wearing blinkers.
Well said. It’s important to hear lots of perspectives but use them to make your own decisions instead of blindly following one of them.
Good advise, congrats on the win.
Love your content! Can you do a video on Alpha and Omega semiconductors ticker symbol: AOSL. They will be Nvidia GB200 supplier...🎉🎉🎉
Great video. PATH is a sell, lost about 11k on it when I sold it 2023. you have sunk cost problem with it

I rarely comment but I thought the investing principles in this video that you propose and have learned from in experience are very valuable. Especially the quotes from Warren Buffett where he looks at a company and not so much the stock price

Alex - just stay being you !! there’s nothing wrong with the title .. 🕺
Excuse me? I don’t understand. I was watching your videos for 7months now and bought NVDA yesterday and you are telling to sell????
Clickbait, for the simple reason that your title implies that you're selling your entire position. But honestly, don't really care, and don't blame you for doing it. Part of the business.
Part of Business? How low must you be to find this act okay?
Hi Alex, I'd love an update on your POV on PATH. -Especially after Dan Ives panned it this morning on CNBC. Still worth HODLing?
Interest rates really were a huge lesson for me. I’m glad that stuck out for you too.
Great content, thank you
Selling a stock because it became a big portion of your portfolio is not for me. I only sell if something has change in the company. Lower profit margin. Lower sales. Losing market share. None of this is happening with NVDA. I will hold and periodically add on price drop until their story changes.
I enjoyed and value your advice. Thank you.
It’s another great video Alex and made with the very best of intentions.
If people watched past the title they would realize that.
I really appreciate your research, expertise and lessons learned. Thank you!
Thanks so much for a such valuable lecture of my life, and I really enjoyed all of your lectures so far. Keep up the good work.
Glad you like them!
Ok, I agree that’s a reasonable move but, bro, you cannot trim your position without transparently giving us the percentage %. So, what was the % ?
The video is perfect. Title a little clickbaity.
Great info. Thanks for sharing your past experiences! “Strong opinion, loosely held” 👍🙏💪
Glad it was helpful!
One of your best vids. Coming from a place of humility with do nothing but win everyone over. We’ll done!
Ok this told me nothing I wanted to know- I am feeling a trend shift in some of these even quality tech equities. Is it just me?
I would like to see a video on if you were an investor starting out what portfolio of stocks would you buy now, with the view to hold over 10 yrs.
Very good video! Thanks for the info
Nvidia is gonna keep growing regardless of what happens with pullbacks/crashes. It's the Amazon of retail (without even looking at their other services). it just might take some time, as all investment related things do.
