Ruin Beyond the Walls - The Banner Saga 3 - As Noted

- One of the biggest climactic moments in THE BANNER SAGA 3, "Ruin Beyond the Walls" is basically a mid-game boss fight during the already-epic trilogy finale. This music was a JOY to write and record, and features some stupendous performance from some of London's finest musicians.

The horn writing!!!! The orchestration is amazing. Gotta love when you can use 6 horns, 2 tubas and 2 bari saxes all in the same passage
And I thought you only wrote for stringed instruments and choirs! These horn lines sounds amazing!
Banner Saga 3's combat tracks are definitely among my favorites in the series. They are so excitingly cinematic and climactic! This track gave me goosebumps in my playthrough with the use of the main theme and such. You're work has definitely inspired my own foray into composition, so thank you for crafting such great music over the years!

Hi Austin, its long overdue that I pop onto your page to say this but - Im a huge fan of your work! Your music has been consistently outstanding, though I have a soft spot for banner saga - the game is good but the music is what really makes the game. Your ability to shape the mood of each scene and pace the timings of your tracks with what is happening to the player is exceptional. Watching your videos with Darren Korb has been a real pleasure - Im a big fan of his work too! Also +1 for the introduction with Gareth Coker, another exceptional composer. Between you all (and others I have likely not yet looked up) it feels like a golden age for gaming as a form of expression that people are increasingly coming to terms with as an art.
Now all I need is a collab between you and Mick Gordon ;)

Started playing Journey, then i marathoned Abzu and the Pathless in less than a week, then i started watching "as noted" videos and started doing my end of degree work about of the music of those last two, today i get a recomendation of a game called banner saga... Guess ill have to play this one too cause that brass got me hooked...

I was also thinking of doing Twitch streams where I play games and make my own music and games with Unreal Engine (I also want a job at Aether Studios, the new company behind the Rivals of Aether franchise which I really adore.).
Never played Banner Saga before but now I am definitely going to change that. Also gonna take the opportunity to shout out another channel that just did a video on the Randy Newman song you played this week on PWL, Listening In. He makes really well written and edited videos on some really interesting subjects.
Anyway, loving the videos and music mate, excellent stuff and really inspirational.

Of the same score during the length of game, or this one systematically covers the length of the story and cutscenes.
I'm still not entirely sure what you mean but if you're asking if there's more music than this in the game, then yes! Tons and tons more. Almost 2 hours of music in the game :) Am I understanding?
