I like the idea of Rooster being an idiot savant for specifically riddles. I think him being able to easily intuit the multiple meanings of words fits the whole genie thing.
7:05, Love Felix’s comedic timing to have Jeb react to the surprised noises Dingo and Avery have their characters make by having Jeb refer to them as a “jaw problem”. 8:03, The last choice I expected for ambient music was the Kahoot Theme trap remix, but here we are (but in the case of the outfits, I was half hoping they’d pick one the ones Avery drew them in). 10:05, Kore’s hesitant grumples and flustered grunts are basically a staple to his character. 10:50, It’s nice that there are these moments to show he does care deeply for people he’s made connections to (which Dingo likened previously to a loyal dog), even if he can’t always express well with how overbearing his immature, aloof nature can be, while it’s also shown he also clings so tightly to others because he lacks much of a sense of himself without these people in life (29:12, that and the fact that he is, without a doubt, a dumbass child, 37:00, with Kore somewhat close behind him.) 13:24, Leave it to Felix to make a healing potion cute. 15:17, “What the hell has Nelthor been doing?” (*Cut to Nelthor draining people’s brains like Imhotep before going to a rave*). 15:46, Kore came into this arena thinking he was Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen from Dune 2, (45:03, *cue Nethlor in the audience whispering “Show me who you are” before Rooster amputates that Knoll’s foot in one strike*), 47:32, only to turn into a sick kid on a roller coaster. 37:01, The sphinx’s confused “No, you have to wait for me to ask the question or I will kill you.” was such a funny way to warn Rooster that it wasn’t the time for him to act childish and turn into Bilbo Baggins (49:00, and somehow is able to be good at riddles without even Dingo knowing about it). 50:02, At this point, it’s more a matter of waiting for Rooster to have any sense of awareness towards the severity of the situations he’s in (after all, he did kill that knoll more or less directly, even if the other contestants decided to attack him and Kore to improve their chances of winning, 1:00:55, and layers performs the same move on the other knoll, again defensively and in the heat of battle), his insistence on being nice seeming more because being mean makes *him* feel bad than him feeling compassion towards other people, including people he’s hurt (1:07:53, or in this case, the people he’s about to hurt). 1:01:55, It’s basically Natalie Portman vs her doppelgänger at the end of Annihilation, only without the incendiary grenade, 1:03:39, though thankfully, Kore comes up with the same kind of idea to use the doppelgänger’s parallel actions to grab the trophy (all while Rooster was being a child and not even trying to figure out a way around the challenge).
So a note on the spell Kore used: specific races (and many of them) in 3.5 have precisely labeled things they get bonuses to for spot checks. For example, elfs get such a bonus to finding secret doors, or dwarves get it on stonework, and so on and such forth. Those types of checks are the Only ones that that spell works for, and Only if your race has That specific skill. Its supposed to be a “the specialist shows that they are even more special for this” type spell.
Alright let's see what kind of horrible beastie Dingo can draw up to traumatise pinky and half-a-brain while also readying up the biggest slap in the face for the OG's and us YET edit: Never mind I remember there being a beast of the stadium being mentioned and I was ready for some horrific beast not robin hood's old fursona
This made me realised that Kore, no matter how buff and morally grey, is still kind of a kid. He’s like not very old is he, and he is described as a toddler here. He may be an independent toddler that’s job is to kill, but he’s still a bit toddler-ish
38:00 My guess to the riddle before the answer is given : I think the answer is "Kikoma". You know, because of its inhabitants' obsession with spheres, and as the capital, it's a gem in the middle of a sea of sand. Wait no, is it the moon ? Oh well, guess we'll see. Okay so it was the moon. My first thought would have been the wrong one and I might have made my team lose if I were there, dang. I did get the second one, "my life", right though. It felt obvious to me.
13:50 "This is an animated healing potion" The closest thing I'd heard to that are Recovery Girl's kisses (from My Hero Academia), but that's news to me. I'm just not sure if "potion" applies here, since that seems to be a creature (not a consumable) 🐍😗 ❤🩹 49:05 "I'm terrible at riddles usually. This is Rooster coming through, not me" That's next-level roleplaying (usually characters are limited by what their players can come up with) 🐓💡 1:02:00 The mirror puzzle was interesting, I wonder if there are other solutions as well (I imagine something like Mage Hand could also have grabbed the trophy and brought it to you, or you could also have turned around and walked backwards towards the trophy).
uh that mirror solve was way different in my head which was just, going over hugging self, turning around so the copy is where i was and then walking over to the trophy and taking it
Apparently I was sharing a brain cell with Roøster, because I yelled "it's the moon!!!!" in exactly the same way he did! For the second one I said "a secret" because I took it backwards. I thought the Sphinx had asked, "What's more important to me than to you?" The river is a pretty popular riddle, so didn't have to think about that one. It was hilarious that Kor's most powerful move is ice. Guess when you're up against people who have only lived in the desert, it makes sense they'd lose there crap, and footing, on ice.😂
Wait since the genie gave them the power to walk on all the sand in their domain, couldn't they have just ignored the keys and instead just walked up the sand?
The First Riddle was the hardest imo. The third one I've heard before. people thought it'd stump everytime, after the first two times I began remembering the answer. The second one was the easiest from a logical perspective. Sphinx (both Andro and Gyno) do not care about anyone.
I wonder... When thinking about the "mirror match" I had a different idea on how to beat it and I wonder if it would have worked as well. So, they mirrored them, but obviously were actually there, it wasn't an actual mirror of glass. If they walked up to their copies, then started to step forward and to the side, in the classic "two fighters circling each other" kind of dance, could they have done that to have the mirrors on the opposite side, and themselves on the side of the trophy?
As much as I love Nelly he seems to know too much with asking Kore if he could kill a Genie then they get attacked by whatsherface and now he says he is looking for roosters "friend"
Rooster during adventure: _smooth brain_

I like the idea of Rooster being an idiot savant for specifically riddles.
I think him being able to easily intuit the multiple meanings of words fits the whole genie thing.
yeah, makes sense with basic thoughts, now lets hope rooster keeps it up.
This made me realize that Kore is as scary as he looks, and Rooster is also as scary as Kore looks
Kore casually nearly decapitating the king and Rooster in genie mode in the comics were pretty well done moments to make these goofballs scary.
I like how honorable the king is. He made a a deal and he intends on keeping it, he just wants things to end with more of a bang than a whimper.
If they fail, this will repeat until someone slays him in combat
20:32 "Fight, I want you to _FIGHT_ not _FUCK!_
Rooster: I don't want to be mean! -chops off your leg-
Art idea: kor in a leotard posing, looking at the sky, spotlight shining down on him as he says "For the glory of Abbrith!"
I like the part when Kore said "IT'S KORE'IN TIME!" And Kore'd all the enemies back to the abyss
You could say it's a... "Kore" memory! Aha!
@@rosiewantsacookie3538 It was indeed! And it was really KORE-rageous of Kore to face themselves!
hahahah xD
@@cerealguy6359 I would like to share a toast to KORE-memorate this great chain of jokes!
When in the episode did he say this? I often miss certain parts of dialogue
4:00 Classic rookie mistake. NEVER give the DM ideas. Now Felix is DEFINITELY going to make Rooster have a caffeine crash during combat.
dingo did it to herself with those bad rolls XD
At this point, it’s just Dingo and Avery’s intrusive thoughts making their way out from their mouths straight into Felix’s head.
8:17 is that kahoot music😂
Yes, yes it is.
Yup
The music of stress
This is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
best song ever
Rooster is just pure Shonen protag "I want to win, but I don't want to be mean" lol
The fact that they are playing kahoot music at 8:14 is so funny to me
Yes! More sand! I usually don't like sand, it gets in my shoes, but this... I like.
It’s rough and course and gets everywhere
Literally everyone: you’re a kid
Rooster: I AM NOT A KID!!!!! 😤
The fucking kahoot music
rooster killing it at the riddles got me 😭😭😭
I love the part where nelthor said its nelthin time and nelthed all over those brains
Looking forward to the drawing of Kore and Rooster in their ass kicking outfits.
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HEART EATING IN THE FOOLS GOLD UNIVERSE
Because Felix
I imagine when Rooster answers the question, his clothes just change to like a graduation gown and cap while he's holding a diploma.
