God damn. Felix’s ability to set up characters who mirror Sips is honestly impressive and great. It’s wonderful seeing sips choose to do a bad thing, but instead of it being out of rage, it’s out of caring which presents so much growth for the character. Of course genocide, but hey it’s progress
Maybe i am over- analising, but considering that Felix is german, the whole moral dilemma may have a deeper meaning: Is it acceptable to punish or shun a people for the things the previous generation did? I'd say no, as long as they know about it and try to not make the same mistake again. And i think this is the difference between the Germans and the Foreclaimers: The Foreclaimers (may) learned nothing, but it's hard to tell as we don't know how they are now.
@@valentinmitterbauer4196 To be fair... every human group has done something messed up. Some of the time though a belief system is the factor in it. A religion like structure. (Makes sense given the Foreclaimers were making artificial gods) When you lack the experience to know if a group changed or not... what do you do? If you only knew about Christianity's crusades, sacrifices, stealing, and other such horrible things and nothing else and find out it still exists... what do you do? If you're told it changed why does it bear the same name?

A little girl who had a dream, to become a princess, no matter the consequences, poisoning people, lying, ploting, was adopted by a queen and a king. But the fire that fuels her little heart was so strong she felt it wasn't enough, no, she murdered her own adoptive parents and executed her political opponents to become a queen. Yes, Xanu, the line between giving a child a passion or an obsession is thin, just as you're shard in her heart.
You make a good point, which makes Xanu all the more scary. Do you sympathize with a artificial God who helps people with their desires in exchange for his own goals, or fear a God made by those without empathy and had so little himself that they are willing to manipulate people with simple wishes for his own gain?
Felix screaming about "TWO YEARS!" makes me think he's being punished for his creativity - "I made this awesome thing and now EVERYBODY WANTS IT GAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Speaking from experience, my old character would do the same thing. Man, I love Vicky ever so much. I’d either say she was cursed with lycanthropy and killed her family or she escaped her family who may have had the curse and transferred it to Vicky. And if that doesn’t work, then she was out hunting and or training and got bitten. Something to do with like a training ceremony. (I dont think it’s the ceremony one because she is only 8 but idk because she halforc if it is a traditional thing or not.)

I fucking knew it, too! The curse didn't affect her way back when that happened, so I assumed she must already be cursed. So when she went on in like, the prior episode, about how she just wants the werewolves to go away, and she and Sips had a heart to heart. That's when it was cemented in my mind. Still, though, that was quite a while ago, so while this caught me by surprise a good bit, it was also very vindicating.
I honestly thought she would throw a surprise party cause it fits her so well. Then the whole chains thing i half expected her to chain sips up and torture him and a huge curveball like the queen lady was her mom yadayada blah blah revenge. Then i was crying like a big ole baby. I got a good feeling about this. This has been the best wait for a next episode EVER. Idc if it takes months. This is amazing
I thought it might have been a surprise party or something at first but there was a part of me that was kinda scared it could be something bad and Vicky might have been the secret big bad. When Dingo said everyone thought it was a surprise party I was like oh no it's bad. Then when she chained herself I thought is she a werewolf and that whole scene made me cry

Well the crystal is xanu and xanu knows that jawbone is important to gothi so if he did that then it would obviously make her upset and also xanu has seen everything sips has seen so he witnessed what happens when someone messes with jawbone cough* Belmont the mind flayer cough* so likely he would simply let Jack get eaten and they would simply continue and then sips would remove the crystal from jawbone
@@agentdoggo6085going a layer beyond basic survival, I’d also assume Xanu wouldn’t want to lose his friend at this point in the timeline. So, doing something to upset Gothi such as pushing Jawbone’s soul out of his body would lose him his only support system.
It’s because she can relate she knows how hard it is to have a curse. So when someone new shows up with a curse and needs help she helps any way she can

Vikki doesn’t like werewolves…Vikki is a werewolf. She turns into a werewolf, she’s eight years old, SHE KNOWS HOW TO CHAIN HERSELF UP, then she has a wholesome moment with Sips. *DEEP INHALE* *sad screeching*
Now, to escape the Werewolf hunting town with a Werewolf child in tow without starting combat that could cause Wild Magic surges that harm Sips, Vicki, or the entire village!
When Vicky touched the arm, I knew she was cursed. When they talked about werewolves, I knew that to be her curse. When it came to the reveal, I knew it was coming. Did it still hit me like a ton of bricks? "DUCK YOU I'M NOT CRYING!"
I legitimately, actually cried when Sips comforted Vicky and I feel it's important that you know that. Your storytelling (and Felix's! I can only IMAGINE what it was like to RP this at the time!) is so engaging and beautiful!
I was confused why Vicky gave the excuse for admitting she would do a genocide was “I’m like eight” till I realized kids are screwed up. at least I was, as the villagers in my first campaign could attest
It makes sense that she would say that though. Vikki admitted she hates werewolves and thinks that all they do is kill so to her if Foreclaimers don't feel for others and are willing to kill everyone then in a way they're like werewolves.
Kids are developing their morals and world view so all of them are just little shits running around biting, kicking, screaming, scratching, and punching anything and sometimes everything if things don’t go their way Toddlers are demons
See, I don't blame her, she's been taught that good guys live and bad guys die, she doesn't know about good people doing bad things and bad people doing good things or people not doing good or bad things. Vicky was just using what she knows about a broken world to come to a conclusion.
I don’t know why nobody talks about how despite xanu being made to be efficient he still has emotions and reactions to things like xanus face reacting to the crowbar thing what’s like “the heck” then “oh no”
Felix gets a lot of credit, and rightfully so, but I wanna give some props to Dingo for being a natural-born storyteller. Being able to retell a story in an entertaining way is an often unsung skill, and Dingo is a natural at it. The both of them have made one hell of a youtube series. Felix's world and ideas, and retold through Dingo's excellent sense of pacing and tone.
Please tell that sips ends up adopting Vickie and taking her with him, I love this duos dynamic also I'd love to see Arina, Gothic, jaws, everyone's reaction to seeing sips carrying a small child, and just saying "this is my child, I well protect her with everything and if anything happens to her I'd kill everyone here and herself, even though I've only known her for a month"
I mean, Vikki's grandma probably wouldn't have a problem with it once she found out that Sips is immune to lycanthropy...if she's aware that Vikki has lycanthropy... (which she probably is; how else would a little girl have masterwork shackles and chains attached to floor-embedded hoops in a distant hut?)
I love how Zanu looked genuinely surprised that Sips agreed to commit the genocide, he probably was expecting Sip’s rebellious side to come out and not agree. But Sips agreeing makes lots of sense because of how much he’s gone through
I honestly want that surprise to turn into something. Like Zanu having to reconcile with the idea of yes, this person wants the same as me but for different reasons, like with Jack: Passion v Obsession. It might just be me adoring Zanu and Sips's relationship, but I want them to keep bonding, and Zanu getting a positive affect from Sips while Zanu has a negative one on Sips. I love the idea of mirroring in stories: A situation, happening between two people and then later on down the line with character growth or regression, and suddenly the situation happens again but this time the roles are reversed and one (or both) parties realizes they've made a monster. Its one of my favorite things in storytelling. I just imagine Zanu and Sips at the point of no return, Sips carrying on fueled by rage because someone he's close to is now dead or on the brink, while Zanu begs him to stop because revenge is fruitless when you have nothing to fight for anymore. Bittersweet stuff like that. Though with how quickly that point is coming I don't think it would get to that point. I am excited to see where Felix and the rest of the players take this!
I honestly felt kinda shocked, but also expected it. I mean, SURE, Sips is in the chaotic good alignment and likes a little murder when mad, but I didn't COMPLETELY expect him to agree to kill a race of people with NEW citizens 2000 years later that had nothing to do with what happened to Xanu. ..Sorry, got a little deep into the lore of the videos, I JUST LOVE THIS SERIESSSSSS

I theorized that Vicky was a werewolf, but I originally thought that Vickie touching Sips’s cursed arm gave her that curse, so I was kind of right, now I am just hanging on what Erina did with the goo dragon (and the cool stuff such as the plushies and the campaign setting)
I was half under the impression that she was a ghost that died in the cabin. Or she wasn't real and was part of sips imagination. Thinks this was more heart wrenching through
I expected that Vickie had lycanthropy. But now I'm thinking... about her parents... while shame at her or being werewolves who were killed by other orcs are possibilities, ... I'm starting to think... Vickie might be ... unintentionally, mind you ... responsible...

I cant help but suspect that it might be the inheritance route, otherwise, I'm wondering how a little kid who clearly has done this for a while, so she was even smaller when it happened, survived a werewolf mauling.
@@WhiteDragonCM Depending on how much risk of transmission there is, there is another possibility. Scratch from a werewolf fang from a fresh kill. Firstly, you can get poisoned from the crystallized venom on the fangs of a dead snake if they scratch you. Second, in the Killer Instinct franchise, Saberwulf became a werewolf via a scratch from the fang of a taxidermied direwolf. And little kids, especially in rural areas, get little scratches all the time. Depending on when it happened, it could have gone unnoticed for quite some time before the transformation was seen.

Not to further gain their trust, but because he got a kick out of it. (He also had +90 to bluff with exclusively first-party classes, feats, equipment, and traits, because pathfinder is a very broken system but I love it all the same.)
@@Kris-wo4pj That's relatable. I was actually introduced to TTRPGs with pathfinder, so it'll always have a special place in my heart, but it seems most groups are moving to dnd5e lately. Can kinda understand groups avoiding pathfinder, it's pretty complex and that can be intimidating, especially for new players, though at the same time, with most of the actually complex stuff, you're not going to be dealing with it unless you're experienced and delving deeper into options. But yeah, either way, best of luck finding a group!! Also, just saying (and to give an idea of how ridiculous character creation can get within the rules), it's definitely among the systems with the most customization I've seen, for characters, with all the classes, archetypes, feats, traits, flaws, prestiges, and stuff. Imagination really IS the limit, and that's just with official first party stuff. Want to be a kobold who is also a magical girl, who goes into a berserk rage as a true neutral barbarian while in a frilly dress, then calms down, twirls in a circle, and is suddenly in full plate (after a flashy light show that everyone actually sees spontaneously appear), wielding a gun as a lawful good gun-paladin of Asmodeus, patron god of contracts-and-that's-it-he's-definitely-not-evil-I-swear-now-hold-on-while-I-ritualistically-sacrifice-tonight's-chicken-before-I-cook-it? You can do that. I don't know *why* you want to do that, but you absolutely can. It's definitely not going to be the most efficient build, but by god, you can play it, or just about anything else you want, and it still fits within official rules as written and intended, no third party stuff required for this tomfoolery.
@@Kris-wo4pj I get that an in person group is a whole different feel than online groups, but with the right people you can get pretty close. If everyone is on webcam and everyone pitches in with the prep in some form or shape online can be pretty good :) If you've never tried it because you're thinking it "just not for me" I honestly think you should give it a shot, just keep your standards for a group as high as it is when you try to find in person groups and everything should be swell :)

That was a rollercoaster of emotions. From tense at the beginning to laughing to tense to laughing to tense to laughing to crying over the scene of Sips comforting a transformed Vikki.
So, two things: 1. Man, that look on Xanu's face at the end like "Wait, did he actually just..... agree?" 2. What's the chances the Foreclaimers made the same mistake they did with Xanu in the other dimension and ended up getting completely wiped out, so the only thing that happens when the portal is opened is literally nothing comes out from it because everything inside is basically dead aside from this second artificial god they made
I didn't, but mostly because I thought maybe Vicky was just a mischievous kid and that's why nobody trusted her, but NOPE, she was a werewolf. I just wanted to give the poor baby a hug after she realized she bit her monkey friend(Sips) 🥺
I would love to play in a campaign like this. The moments are always so meaningful and epic, and it seems like felix really goes out of his way to immerse players, and deliver on great character arcs. I'm sure playing/DMing these kinds of players is fun too
So proud of DM pulled out the little girl is a scared werewolf pup card. I saw it coming as a fellow DM but beamed in joy when revealed. Love the series. Love Fool’s gold campaign. Love the fact he got me with the twist that Jack is not a Bad Guy playing stupid and he really is just a gullible dupe.

I've known about Vicky's curse for months now. Sip's curse not doing anything, the town centralising around werewolves and Vicky being sad about the topic of being cursed made it pretty clear. But it's good to see it's finally revealed, and the moment between Were-Vicky and Sips was so super wholesome ♥
It’s fascinating how right after having the “they don’t know how to be good” talk with her she turns into a werewolf. I honestly thought that would make him refuse the genocide.
I was laughing at Vicky's response to Sips's question and at Gothi telling Jack in the face that he's just an idiot. But the werewolf part? AUGH, why, this hurts so GOOD, my poor fillies 😭
I could tell based on her philosophy about curses and that she lived in a werewolf hunting town that she was cursed with lycnathropy but like damn that was still a big reveal
@@Dualbladedscorpion7737 firstly, if she was born a werewolf, i'm pretty sure she could only be cured by a wish spell, secondly, it wouldn't really be all that crazy for her to have been infected, it is a werewolf hunting town after all, there are probably more than a couple werewolves, also, idk this but it's just an idea, what if you could get afflicted with lycanthropy from dead werewolves, if you accidently got scratched by it's claws or teeth or something when looking at it, idk, that might not be the case, but it's just an idea, the point is, it's a werewolf hunting town, there are bound to be werewolves, or why would the villagers even stay there, if their livelyhood is gone?

I speak for literally every single person watching this when I say we all want the Jawbone plush. We all want it. Maybe can't afford it, but nonetheless want it.
Werewolves have always been a special thing to me. I know what it’s like to loath a part of oneself, so werewolf stories, the good werewolf stories, have resonated strongly with me. I know and understand, intimately, what every ritual and chain and lock and act of self-isolation is for. And especially, I know, that it is always unnecessary. It is a beast fundamentally made of self-perception. And all it really takes to control it, is to stop trying to control it, and let it breathe freely, show it to others, as a part of yourself like all it’s fellow components.
So if Xanu’s crystals can boost the holders soul desire… does that mean he’s the reason why Potato Girl took over Kilandria? If we take into consideration how everyone with a crystal has behave over the course of this story… Wait, no… The crytal dosen’t affect those with no ambition. Aerana maybe, but after Sips got his curse back, he didn’t immediately jump back into finding a cure… he just felt defeated, and even now he isn’t asking Xanu to cure him.
Also Xanu intentional made jacks desire stronger, it’s not like if you own a piece of the crystal your desire skyrockets. Xanu can do to anyone with a crystal but only did it to Jack because they both had the same goals.
@@kanevivi If she was born a werewolf then remove curse sadly wouldn't work. But regardless, I feel like from a narrative point of view, that'd kinda ruin the moment. They both have curses, their burdens, and they're not alone anymore, they have each other. That moment helped to emphasize that, and form an even stronger bond.

It reminds me a LOT of the end of the book “North, or Be Eaten!” The main character’s younger brother, who he swore to protect at all costs, got kidnapped by the BBEG’s armies and transformed into a violent little Wolf boy with no sense of who he used to be, and all they could do was show him love and hope for the best. Really quite tragic.
If y’all are curious, the book series is called “The Wingfeather Saga” by Andrew Peterson, and it’s one of the best fantasy series from the past 12 or so years.

Remember when this series was funny and not a deep and engaging drama about morality and genocide? I mean, I absolutely love it, but binging this series is an experience.
I mean, its not unusual for this sort of thing to happen in a campaign. As you get stronger, there is more serious things going on that you actually need to get involved with eventually. Even in Mighty Nein, its not like even Jester was immune to having to be serious more often later on.
@@SephirothRyu I think he means the fact that this went from "here's a funny moment that happened in a campaign with no context" to "here's the whole campaign with the entire context" Watching this from start to now is really weird since it starts in the middle and jumps back and forth until it stabilises into the campaign. For a really rough comparison it's like watching a meme compilation slowly turn into an engaging audio novel.

God damn. Felix’s ability to set up characters who mirror Sips is honestly impressive and great. It’s wonderful seeing sips choose to do a bad thing, but instead of it being out of rage, it’s out of caring which presents so much growth for the character. Of course genocide, but hey it’s progress

Maybe i am over- analising, but considering that Felix is german, the whole moral dilemma may have a deeper meaning: Is it acceptable to punish or shun a people for the things the previous generation did? I'd say no, as long as they know about it and try to not make the same mistake again. And i think this is the difference between the Germans and the Foreclaimers: The Foreclaimers (may) learned nothing, but it's hard to tell as we don't know how they are now.

As soon as Vicky said get out to sips and said it’s a secret, I knew she was werewolf. The chains only further enhanced my theory and proof.
Speaking from experience, my old character would do the same thing. Man, I love Vicky ever so much. I’d either say she was cursed with lycanthropy and killed her family or she escaped her family who may have had the curse and transferred it to Vicky. And if that doesn’t work, then she was out hunting and or training and got bitten. Something to do with like a training ceremony. (I dont think it’s the ceremony one because she is only 8 but idk because she halforc if it is a traditional thing or not.)

What I'm interested in now is in knowing if _the werewolves_ killed her parents and then she got the curse or if _she_ killed her parents after getting the curse, cuz let's be honest, one of the options is clearly sadder thant the other

I fucking knew it, too! The curse didn't affect her way back when that happened, so I assumed she must already be cursed. So when she went on in like, the prior episode, about how she just wants the werewolves to go away, and she and Sips had a heart to heart. That's when it was cemented in my mind. Still, though, that was quite a while ago, so while this caught me by surprise a good bit, it was also very vindicating.
I honestly thought she would throw a surprise party cause it fits her so well. Then the whole chains thing i half expected her to chain sips up and torture him and a huge curveball like the queen lady was her mom yadayada blah blah revenge. Then i was crying like a big ole baby. I got a good feeling about this. This has been the best wait for a next episode EVER. Idc if it takes months. This is amazing
I thought it might have been a surprise party or something at first but there was a part of me that was kinda scared it could be something bad and Vicky might have been the secret big bad. When Dingo said everyone thought it was a surprise party I was like oh no it's bad. Then when she chained herself I thought is she a werewolf and that whole scene made me cry

Well the crystal is xanu and xanu knows that jawbone is important to gothi so if he did that then it would obviously make her upset and also xanu has seen everything sips has seen so he witnessed what happens when someone messes with jawbone cough* Belmont the mind flayer cough* so likely he would simply let Jack get eaten and they would simply continue and then sips would remove the crystal from jawbone
@@agentdoggo6085going a layer beyond basic survival, I’d also assume Xanu wouldn’t want to lose his friend at this point in the timeline. So, doing something to upset Gothi such as pushing Jawbone’s soul out of his body would lose him his only support system.
Vicki seems pretty forgiving towards a guy who kicked her out of her own house...
It’s because she can relate she knows how hard it is to have a curse. So when someone new shows up with a curse and needs help she helps any way she can

When Vicky touched the arm, I knew she was cursed. When they talked about werewolves, I knew that to be her curse. When it came to the reveal, I knew it was coming. Did it still hit me like a ton of bricks? "DUCK YOU I'M NOT CRYING!"
Perfect example of the best plot twist being one you are able of piecing together but still being impactful to the viewer when it's revealed

Felix gets a lot of credit, and rightfully so, but I wanna give some props to Dingo for being a natural-born storyteller. Being able to retell a story in an entertaining way is an often unsung skill, and Dingo is a natural at it.
The both of them have made one hell of a youtube series. Felix's world and ideas, and retold through Dingo's excellent sense of pacing and tone.
Alot of fans. Dingo and Felix really made a injoyable series. The animation the story the voice acting so believable.

Please tell that sips ends up adopting Vickie and taking her with him, I love this duos dynamic also I'd love to see Arina, Gothic, jaws, everyone's reaction to seeing sips carrying a small child, and just saying "this is my child, I well protect her with everything and if anything happens to her I'd kill everyone here and herself, even though I've only known her for a month"
.....well it sorta wouldn't technically be the first time... remember sneeze exists
I mean, Vikki's grandma probably wouldn't have a problem with it once she found out that Sips is immune to lycanthropy...if she's aware that Vikki has lycanthropy... (which she probably is; how else would a little girl have masterwork shackles and chains attached to floor-embedded hoops in a distant hut?)
That plot twist: When the DM convinces YOU to commit a warcrime!
I love how Zanu looked genuinely surprised that Sips agreed to commit the genocide, he probably was expecting Sip’s rebellious side to come out and not agree. But Sips agreeing makes lots of sense because of how much he’s gone through
I honestly want that surprise to turn into something.
Like Zanu having to reconcile with the idea of yes, this person wants the same as me but for different reasons, like with Jack: Passion v Obsession. It might just be me adoring Zanu and Sips's relationship, but I want them to keep bonding, and Zanu getting a positive affect from Sips while Zanu has a negative one on Sips. I love the idea of mirroring in stories: A situation, happening between two people and then later on down the line with character growth or regression, and suddenly the situation happens again but this time the roles are reversed and one (or both) parties realizes they've made a monster. Its one of my favorite things in storytelling.
I just imagine Zanu and Sips at the point of no return, Sips carrying on fueled by rage because someone he's close to is now dead or on the brink, while Zanu begs him to stop because revenge is fruitless when you have nothing to fight for anymore. Bittersweet stuff like that.
Though with how quickly that point is coming I don't think it would get to that point. I am excited to see where Felix and the rest of the players take this!

I honestly felt kinda shocked, but also expected it.
I mean, SURE, Sips is in the chaotic good alignment and likes a little murder when mad, but I didn't COMPLETELY expect him to agree to kill a race of people with NEW citizens 2000 years later that had nothing to do with what happened to Xanu.

I theorized that Vicky was a werewolf, but I originally thought that Vickie touching Sips’s cursed arm gave her that curse, so I was kind of right, now I am just hanging on what Erina did with the goo dragon (and the cool stuff such as the plushies and the campaign setting)
I was half under the impression that she was a ghost that died in the cabin. Or she wasn't real and was part of sips imagination. Thinks this was more heart wrenching through
I expected that Vickie had lycanthropy. But now I'm thinking... about her parents... while shame at her or being werewolves who were killed by other orcs are possibilities, ... I'm starting to think... Vickie might be ... unintentionally, mind you ... responsible...

@@WhiteDragonCM Depending on how much risk of transmission there is, there is another possibility. Scratch from a werewolf fang from a fresh kill. Firstly, you can get poisoned from the crystallized venom on the fangs of a dead snake if they scratch you. Second, in the Killer Instinct franchise, Saberwulf became a werewolf via a scratch from the fang of a taxidermied direwolf. And little kids, especially in rural areas, get little scratches all the time. Depending on when it happened, it could have gone unnoticed for quite some time before the transformation was seen.
"If I wanted to manipulate you, we wouldn't be having this conversation," is exactly what my bard used to tell people he was manipulating. Not to further gain their trust, but because he got a kick out of it. (He also had +90 to bluff with exclusively first-party classes, feats, equipment, and traits, because pathfinder is a very broken system but I love it all the same.)

@@Kris-wo4pj That's relatable. I was actually introduced to TTRPGs with pathfinder, so it'll always have a special place in my heart, but it seems most groups are moving to dnd5e lately. Can kinda understand groups avoiding pathfinder, it's pretty complex and that can be intimidating, especially for new players, though at the same time, with most of the actually complex stuff, you're not going to be dealing with it unless you're experienced and delving deeper into options. But yeah, either way, best of luck finding a group!!
Also, just saying (and to give an idea of how ridiculous character creation can get within the rules), it's definitely among the systems with the most customization I've seen, for characters, with all the classes, archetypes, feats, traits, flaws, prestiges, and stuff. Imagination really IS the limit, and that's just with official first party stuff. Want to be a kobold who is also a magical girl, who goes into a berserk rage as a true neutral barbarian while in a frilly dress, then calms down, twirls in a circle, and is suddenly in full plate (after a flashy light show that everyone actually sees spontaneously appear), wielding a gun as a lawful good gun-paladin of Asmodeus, patron god of contracts-and-that's-it-he's-definitely-not-evil-I-swear-now-hold-on-while-I-ritualistically-sacrifice-tonight's-chicken-before-I-cook-it? You can do that. I don't know *why* you want to do that, but you absolutely can. It's definitely not going to be the most efficient build, but by god, you can play it, or just about anything else you want, and it still fits within official rules as written and intended, no third party stuff required for this tomfoolery.

If everyone is on webcam and everyone pitches in with the prep in some form or shape online can be pretty good :) If you've never tried it because you're thinking it "just not for me" I honestly think you should give it a shot, just keep your standards for a group as high as it is when you try to find in person groups and everything should be swell :)

So, two things:
1. Man, that look on Xanu's face at the end like "Wait, did he actually just..... agree?"
2. What's the chances the Foreclaimers made the same mistake they did with Xanu in the other dimension and ended up getting completely wiped out, so the only thing that happens when the portal is opened is literally nothing comes out from it because everything inside is basically dead aside from this second artificial god they made
You know I feel that a real possibility. Because they could not learn and just try again but with a more powerful and madman of a God instead.
Honestly, the only thing we'd lose is Gothi/godrik revenge.

I didn't, but mostly because I thought maybe Vicky was just a mischievous kid and that's why nobody trusted her, but NOPE, she was a werewolf. I just wanted to give the poor baby a hug after she realized she bit her monkey friend(Sips) 🥺
I would love to play in a campaign like this. The moments are always so meaningful and epic, and it seems like felix really goes out of his way to immerse players, and deliver on great character arcs. I'm sure playing/DMing these kinds of players is fun too
So proud of DM pulled out the little girl is a scared werewolf pup card. I saw it coming as a fellow DM but beamed in joy when revealed. Love the series. Love Fool’s gold campaign. Love the fact he got me with the twist that Jack is not a Bad Guy playing stupid and he really is just a gullible dupe.
Though i would say, that instead of saying “Bare Floorboards”, i would have said, “One board, in the center of the room under the carpet, is warped and splintered with the markings of the crowbar’s usage and what looks like various claw-marks.”

I've known about Vicky's curse for months now. Sip's curse not doing anything, the town centralising around werewolves and Vicky being sad about the topic of being cursed made it pretty clear. But it's good to see it's finally revealed, and the moment between Were-Vicky and Sips was so super wholesome ♥
I thought her parents would've ended up being werewolves and that's why she doesn't have any, they were hunted by the rest of the town
It’s fascinating how right after having the “they don’t know how to be good” talk with her she turns into a werewolf. I honestly thought that would make him refuse the genocide.
I was laughing at Vicky's response to Sips's question and at Gothi telling Jack in the face that he's just an idiot.

@@Dualbladedscorpion7737 firstly, if she was born a werewolf, i'm pretty sure she could only be cured by a wish spell, secondly, it wouldn't really be all that crazy for her to have been infected, it is a werewolf hunting town after all, there are probably more than a couple werewolves, also, idk this but it's just an idea, what if you could get afflicted with lycanthropy from dead werewolves, if you accidently got scratched by it's claws or teeth or something when looking at it, idk, that might not be the case, but it's just an idea, the point is, it's a werewolf hunting town, there are bound to be werewolves, or why would the villagers even stay there, if their livelyhood is gone?

I know and understand, intimately, what every ritual and chain and lock and act of self-isolation is for. And especially, I know, that it is always unnecessary. It is a beast fundamentally made of self-perception. And all it really takes to control it, is to stop trying to control it, and let it breathe freely, show it to others, as a part of yourself like all it’s fellow components.
So if Xanu’s crystals can boost the holders soul desire… does that mean he’s the reason why Potato Girl took over Kilandria? If we take into consideration how everyone with a crystal has behave over the course of this story… Wait, no… The crytal dosen’t affect those with no ambition. Aerana maybe, but after Sips got his curse back, he didn’t immediately jump back into finding a cure… he just felt defeated, and even now he isn’t asking Xanu to cure him.
I mean, Xanu already told him that he *couldn't* cure him because of how tightly tied it is to his soul
Also Xanu intentional made jacks desire stronger, it’s not like if you own a piece of the crystal your desire skyrockets. Xanu can do to anyone with a crystal but only did it to Jack because they both had the same goals.
Maybe potato girl was just a... Little bitch that didn't need no urging to be a full on psychopath. Some people just be that way

The worst part about Vicki’s curse is that, at least in standard D&D settings, if she was born with it, nothing short of the Wish Spell can cure her.
Sounds like a good side plot or reason to have her as a Dmpc to me.

They both have curses, their burdens, and they're not alone anymore, they have each other. That moment helped to emphasize that, and form an even stronger bond.

It reminds me a LOT of the end of the book “North, or Be Eaten!” The main character’s younger brother, who he swore to protect at all costs, got kidnapped by the BBEG’s armies and transformed into a violent little Wolf boy with no sense of who he used to be, and all they could do was show him love and hope for the best. Really quite tragic.
If y’all are curious, the book series is called “The Wingfeather Saga” by Andrew Peterson, and it’s one of the best fantasy series from the past 12 or so years.

I mean, its not unusual for this sort of thing to happen in a campaign. As you get stronger, there is more serious things going on that you actually need to get involved with eventually. Even in Mighty Nein, its not like even Jester was immune to having to be serious more often later on.

Watching this from start to now is really weird since it starts in the middle and jumps back and forth until it stabilises into the campaign.
For a really rough comparison it's like watching a meme compilation slowly turn into an engaging audio novel.
