- We are so excited to share another EPIC family adventure with you!
On this trip, we had to pack for the beach and the bush, staying in both luxurious villa accommodation in Mozambique, rustic tents in the Kruger Park, and wild camping in Gonarezhou National Park of Zimbabwe!
Our adventure started in KZN, and below is the list of places we stayed along the way:
1. Blue Waves @ Aloha, Ponta Mamoli, Mozambique - rented exclusively, this villa sleeps 14 people in 5 bedrooms. See rates and book at www.alohabluewaves.com
2. Royal Marlothi, Marloth Park, outside Kruger National Park in South Africa. Will stay elsewhere next time.
3. Tamboti Camp, Kruger National Park - various tents available, loved this spot! Booking on www.sanparks.org
4. Was meant to be Dumela Wilderness Safaris outside of Pafuri in Mozambique but we missed the border time! So we stayed at Punda Maria Camp in Kruger. Booking on www.sanparks.org
5. Gorwe Pan in Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe - we booked with Ultimate Routes (www.ultimateroutes.co.za) who assisted us with choosing camps etc. We enjoyed the isolation of this camp but there was a lack of shade.
6. Chinguli Camp in Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe - we booked with Ultimate Routes (www.ultimateroutes.co.za). One of the developed camps, we really enjoyed it here, facing natural rocks and a small gorge of the Runde River!
7. Chiljo Cliff, Campsite 1 in Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe - we booked with Ultimate Routes (www.ultimateroutes.co.za) - wow guys, its right at the top of our list for best campsites we have ever stayed at!
8. Chipinda Pools Camp in Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe - we booked with Ultimate Routes (www.ultimateroutes.co.za). One of the developed camps, we really enjoyed it here too, right in the Rune River!
Its so beautiful when you interact and support the locals. Makes it even more wholesome. I am South African and always enjoy these offroad trails
Thanks very much!! The locals are always so nice and friendly, it really is great.

Thanks so much for the great comment! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the sub!
We’ve done that trip and same route from Pafuri to Gonarezhou, so this was so good to watch and great memories
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!
Wow these first two eps have been amazing! That resort in the 1st ep, then Kruger & everything else in this one! Thanks so much we follow quite a few African overlander channels & its good to get a fresh perspective- all the best from the Noosa Hinterland Qld Australia ✌️🙏👍
Thanks so much for the comment and glad you enjoying the series! Some good stuff to come in the next one too!
Subscribed. Nice episode. My Kruger visit had an elephant sighting only. Morning and afternoon. 😢
Thanks for the sub! Sorry that must have just been a bad day, Kruger definitely delivers most of the time 🙌🏻
Another awesome video guys pity about the corruption at the Moz boarder posts it just needs to stop.
Thanks very much! Yea wish that rubbish would stop too...
Lovely. Awesome guys. How was your fuel consumption?
Thanks so much! It was high, 22L/100km so we have change to the Wildtrak V6 which is a lot better but I do miss the Raptor!
Thanks for the video! My brother, @TheSafariExpert told me to watch it as we're going to Gonarhezou in Sep/Oct this year and will have to cross the Limpopo with our offroad caravan on our own. Glad it wasn't too much of an obstacle. Great channel!!
Thanks very much! Yes I remember Villiers saying you guys are going this year. The crossing was hard at all and the locals know the line well so for a small tip they will direct you across. Take some fans, it was hot that time of year!
@@EpicAfrica Thank for the reply and encouragement! Can't wait to see more of the trip. Cheers, Francois
Lyk lekker. Watse seat covers het jy daar. Lyk mooi. Brandstof verbruik met daai karavaan?
Thanks very much! They are from TAKLA and are one of our must haves, especially with kids 😂
Towing we were getting around 22L/100km so definitely on the high side!
Great video! What time of year did you do the crossing?
Thanks very much! It was in Sep, so the river was low.
Can't stand the thumping so called music. But a good video.
Each to their own but glad you at least enjoyed the video.
Us africans can only watch this on TH-cam coz we can't afford to go to these places
Love this amazing Africa!
