When we first saw the Breen ship it definitely made its mark. They’re fragile and fall apart easily when fired on but the energy dissipators are devastating and breen ships are maneuverable the defiant was barely able to keep up with one during a battle in the dominion war
This ship really made an impact when the first introduced it. Never realized this ship was smallish in scale and they really packed those breen in like sardines with 630 crew. Would love to see you guys bring John Eaves back to talk about this ship. Great job you guys!
Guys, please do these Datafiles also about ships that u already covered. I don't really have the time to watch all Trekyards Episode's but with the short Datafiles, I can finally now know everything important about the ships in 3-5 Minutes. It's like Spacedock
Geez how are you doing these every week? there's allot of research, dialogue and super slick graphics, it's a really nice concise video! I'm subbed now for sure.
Have that in STO! Its very awesome ship! I ate the new "BREEN" STO ship though. Its just a weak fanmade copy of that one. And actualy it is farely huge in STO. Its as big as a galor or at least bigger than the excelsior class.
It's also nonsense. There's actually an episode in which Kira and Bashir take down some Breen and steal their armour. It just doesn't make sense that the Federation wouldn't know what they look like.
We discussed this but for the smaller sizeing which the 3D model shows the 20 decks just couldn't happen... so while we talked about the facts we didnt want to diffinitivley say that the classic Breen Warship was 20 decks. Since i would think that the smaller one has less than that.
photon torpedoes? That info is canon? They fired green blasts from forward green ball section. It was never stated theyre photons. They have used type 3 disruptors. Maybe disruptor blasts (they look like photons) - similar blasts were fired from a D7 forward section in VOY.
power543 In an earlier Trekyards post on the Breen, someone referred to the Breen shop with an NCC designation. I thought that those were only given to Federation-built ships. I was just told that that's only within canon. My lack of knowledge in play here. Been out of Trek for several years.
As said earlier, Star Trek Online has a number of alien ships you can command. If you get one, you can usually choose whether you want to give it a traditional NCC (or IKS for Klingons, or RRS for Romulans) prefix. The Breen ships are usually given out for free during the winter holidays.
can somebody please tell me about the Breen about their history, how they came to be, their anatomy and physiology, clinical structure all that kind of stuff please?
As much as I love this channel, having finally come across this video its rather obvious it needs a serious update. The stats and figures on the ship are just horribly leveled out to the point where its clear that random numbers with no connection to the show or material was used just to have something to say.
29m high, estimated 20 decks? Not possible. Average deck height 1.49 and the Breen are taller than humans. The structural deck including HV and structure would be 4 metres I.e. 7 or 8 decks.
Fantastic 3d model. tho i think Venom Geek Media did a much better job with his video: Understanding the Breen Ship: th-cam.com/video/iWrk6bckUjk/w-d-xo.html Basically its a series of modules attacked to a Keel.

Love these "Datafiles" they are uber nerdy with soundbites and script :) but that's just awesome! Always go full nerd!

Love the LCARS overlays!
Nice video , the Breen are the best warriors of the galaxy
Excellent work... Love these segments
wow, these ships are so detailed even tho we seem them so little

1 year ago The Breen Warships are also kind of almost Borgish.
Very good.
John Eaves best work was alien designs.
Geez how are you doing these every week? there's allot of research, dialogue and super slick graphics, it's a really nice concise video! I'm subbed now for sure.
its tricky! But S1 went well...S2 is almost ready to come out!

Just once: "Accessing files... access denied."
"...god damn it." /15 second video.
Just occurred to me that they're like the Ice Warriors in Doctor Who. For many years we also didn't know why they looked like underneath their armor.
The same could be said of the Vorlons from the show Babylon 5.
It's also nonsense. There's actually an episode in which Kira and Bashir take down some Breen and steal their armour. It just doesn't make sense that the Federation wouldn't know what they look like.
This is my favorite ship in Star Trek online
This ship needs a cloaking device
Thank you, nobody really talked about the Breen technology or their ships or even their polity/govt.
You guys need to do way more datafiles.
The been warship imho is the best and most "alien" looking ship on trek
How about doing a Data file on the Enterprise G?
amazing model
hi Stuart and Samuel I love this seiries keep it up also please do an episode on the species 85148 ship
thank you
do you mean 8472? :)
+power543 yea I prudently mixed up my new ship with them
+derpy twerp gamer YT *accidentally
amazing ship amazing animation as well but there's a little mistake you said it has twenty decks but in the description below it's unknown
oh well fine but maybe you could have written 20+ or something else

breen historical data suggest that the breen trek there species, from a galaxy far far away.
thanks for your time. :D
I would like to get a decent Star Trek Beyond uniform for around 100 dollars. Could you guys recommend any good sites?
Galaxy Class Starship Thanks but the link is no good.
Galaxy Class Starship Thanks for helping!
How do you get the original 3D models?
we worked with people who worked on the shows, built up trust and respect though our work on Trekyards then were lucky.
Little is know about the Breen but judging by their ship design its assumed they did a lot of LSD.
I still want to know why one of these has been posted with an NCC designation.
i don't understand what you mean?
IN STO you can give ita NCC or RRW,KDF asignment. But thats about it. Not in cannon though.
Marc-Antonio Geht dich nix an Thanks for the clarification!

Kira killed Breen at least twice and stole a uniform, (Maybe/maybe not a refrigeration suit.) I bet she knows what they look like.
Perfect viewing for my dinner!
can somebody please tell me about the Breen about their history, how they came to be, their anatomy and physiology, clinical structure all that kind of stuff please?
I love ugly and asymmetrical spaceships such as the Breen ships and the alien derelict in ALIEN.
What do the Breen look like... I think they look human but from a "mirror" universe.

these babys caused a lot of trouble for the federation in ds9.
The ship is pretty much someone got a bunch of crescent shapes and slap them together!
how can a ship thats 29 metres high have 20 decks the breen aboard that ship must be very small
".... We MAKE UP specifications...."

What with the 2 different narrators? Silly.
why didn't the federation install cloaking devices on its ships since they had the technology many years ago ? they could have used that advantage
