When I was there I was told there is a free bus in the morning to take you elsewhere so to me the resort being out of the way wasn't an issue and there's a shop across the road to book excursions if you get bored. Regarding the beds being separated, all you needed to do was ask the hotel to make sure the bed is double. I emailed before I arrived and they sorted it for me. The donut rack in breakfast area usually has different coloured donuts to choose from but looks like a lot had been already taken by the time you filmed. Last time I went with silver studio suite, half board as I always hear all inclusive isn't worth it. Drinks wise I just bought some from the supermarket across the road mainly then treated myself to some cocktails from pool bar. I did also go to sky bar bought a couple of drinks but were very expensive in my opinion. In hindsight I would have taken my supermarket drinks up to sky bar as I've since heard that's allowed. I am going again this weekend but going for rock royalty studio suite, again half board. Will see how that goes but does sound better value since you have access to the RR bar with free drinks and snacks between certain times which has a nice view and spa included. Didn't get a chance to go eden pool last time as it always seemed full. This time will be the same as it's now closed for maintenance unfortunately. As for drinks at dinner.. they were going to charge water to my room but I think the waitress in sessions got on with us really well and may have waived it for us as it wasn't charged when I checked but still if they do charge for water with dinner I think that's wrong regardless of which board so I get the pettiness. As for the ala carte - they made it so complicated as in what's included/how to book/where they are located etc that I didn't bother with those, didn't want the faff so had sessions buffet every meal, would have liked to have tried one of them though. Where abouts is the sports ba and what's it called? I'm intrigued by the burger challenge. Did you see any cockroaches as that's a common complaint I've seen. On my last visit I was on in the sky board and one across the road near the shops
Hi David - we've stayed in Playa Paraiso a couple of times and the restaurants in the area are pretty mediocre so you were probably as well going all inclusive. Really interesting your comments on the petty restrictions on the all inclusive which can really tarnish your experience of the hotel.
Hi, we're only back from a 2 week stay at the Hard Rock and had the best time. We upgraded to all inclusive on our last 4 days and it was €100 per day.
Good video David. Just a bit of info that may interest you. We stayed three consecutive years in the mid to late 1990's when this hotel was called Oasis Paraiso. it was a really quiet place with just one street. It had three British bars with a great atmosphere, plus a night club. There looks to be more hotels and shops now and from what I've been told there is only one bar remaining on the main street. A bit sad really, I fear that the all inclusive may have killed the resort. Thanks for sharing your vlog, it brought back some nice holiday memories of Playa Paraiso.

Stayed there for my wifes 50th Birthday , we booked a Rock Royalty suite , beautiful spacious room , great views but as you have said it's the little things that break the holiday highs, The roof top bar is a total scam , having to force your guests to buy drinks whilst up there is embarrassing as a hospitality company. A cabanna at the pool was £55 for the day , having a limited amounts of drinks done my head in , the food for me was medioca , we were booked in for a week but left after 2 nights , massive TV in the room but could not plug in my USB and my laptop !! , anyway I gave it 1 star on trip adviser only because I could not give anything lower . only once they start to suffer finacially from people not returning and their negative reviews will the management change the concept for the better . the hotel could be really great but its the little extras they try and scam you with that gets me . 0 Stars from me . I hope this puts people off from booking there as its a total waste of your money and you will be dissappointed with the service . Your money is hard earned and they just want to take more of it when you have already paid All Inclusive !!
You are 100% correct in what your saying. We stopped last september on the rock royalty level whilst were away we always treat ourselves to anything we want, we ended up with a 500euro bill before leaving because of this.. Its not allinclusive at all even on that level. Lovely hotel nice staff but the service and the extras your paying for on top of your original holiday price is just not right.
Food looked really poor, some cheap frozen mozzie sticks and chicken strips from Farmfoods or somewhere similar - I will give that pretend 5 star hotel a miss
Good review and one of the most informative of the Hard Rock I’ve seen. Most of the others are gushing - lots of wows and amazings. Really appreciated the feel you gave for the value of the AI package compared with B&B and HB. I’m planning to stay over Christmas 2024 with friends and family on AI. Your review confirms my research that the advertised ‘AI+’ package is more like AI Minus. Being asked to pay an extra Euro here and there on top of the £15k we’ve collective paid already will irk but we’ll suck it up. More annoying will be being charged for every drink (less a 20% discount) in the Sky Bar and the speciality restaurants (as well receiving only a 30% discount on the food). But, we have a friend who raves about the hotel, its service and the food in the Sessions buffet and the other included eating areas.
A.i is all in , should get 2 euro back for fosters . That would drive me mad. After our 3 months in canary Islands last winter , we was schengered out. So got 10 days 8n 4 star in olu deniz, sundia hotel. Fantastic all inclusive. Only a few premium brands had surcharges. Give few small tips upon arrival, and my vat 69 was at my table before me. Staff , incredible. Kept asking if I need another one. Worked out at £66 a day , flights and transfers. Glad you got last day indulgence.
It was weird as they were so petty about little things yet let us go for it on the final day until we left. Strange place, was fine but wouldn’t go back again
Your points on the pettyness of All Inclusive not covering everything. We had this a few years ago at the Barcelo Corralejo Bay, went All Inclusive, but you felt second class. Even told All Inclusive at certain bars were serving after 10pm. This put us off and now we do bed and breakfast or self catering.
How are the all inclusive drinks that they do offer? also are there snack available at all times like ice cream for kids and stuff? The nickel and diming you mentioned is annoying as it's not a cheap hotel. Very impressed with the rooms and views though.
The ones they did offer were good! We just stuck with the frozen daiquiris in many different flavours which was good. Can’t remember so much off hand about ice creams and snacks sorry!

It may sound “good on paper” but it’s a definite NO from me!!! Complete rip off 😮 When we go away we just need simple, comfortable and clean…………. Try going to HR in Punta Cana what an horrible hotel like a shopping mall massive and unless you was a rock star (rock star level) don't expect all inclusive. I have never been to a bar where you go in get a table then you can't reach the bar because it's full of other holiday makers who just want to grab a drink then walk out and continue walking around. Sometimes there must have been a line of 30 people most ordering cocktails.
Can confidently say that although the resort is nice its not worth the money stayed in August 2023 for 10 Nights and we had problems with their "5*" service constantly and in the end a manager got involved and fixed everything but that was about half way through our stay definitely could have done somewhere better cheaper.
Totally agree, all inclusive should mean everything but not just tenerife our last 2 hotels in fuerteventura had the same had to pay for certain drinks there all just making up for the lock down❤💯👍

How can you say the room was adequate we stayed there two years ago and found the wardrobe useless there is no whare to put your clothes ..Only one drawer and not enough hangers. all the rooms are the same I would never go back as we had to upgrade to a double suite cost an extra £700 Crap facilities, crap food, crap pools. crap hotel.
Why tf are hotels putting wash hand basins in bedrooms? How are you supposed to wash your bits in private 🫣.. iv had it before and walked straight back out. 😱😱
140 euros per day each sounds like a massive rip off or am I just out of touch? Also thanks for mentioning all the little nickel-and-dime tactics they have. Can't believe you paid 140 euros each per night and it's still not enough to cover what is essentially (based on your video footage) pretty average food and drink.

Corralejo is much better for self catering as there is something for everyone, bars and restaurants here are brilliant
Did Caleta de Fuste in May, self catering very easy.

In my room, the bathtub was in the bedroom too and toilet/show had their own separate rooms
