in regards to the quest lag, what if there was a centralized inventory for all the quest items with unlimited quantity. and your character would only access those items upon completion of the quest, and only have placeholders for the progress (3/7 warg tails).
My account has been active since 2007, and my biggest turn off when I login to Lotro is the items.. Gotta do more with items.. I have so much stuff to deal with, when I make a new character, I dont have enough inventory to even open up all my boxes.. so my 1st thing I have to do when I make a new toon is run to the vault.. /sigh. Then I login to my alts and realize I have more toons that are made just for moving items around than I do character I actually play the game with.. Need to virtualize crafting materials, make them account wide, so if i mine with toon A and craft with toon B, I dont have to move materials around, just an idea.. BUT this game needs to make alot of items virtual, you already have the system in place, (The Wallet) just add more items to the wallet!!
As a Brazilian gamer, I have a deep passion for Lotro. I dream of the day when the game will boast enhanced graphics. With this hopeful vision, I see myself playing Lotro for eternity.
Graphics are a novelty that wears off. I would rather play a GAME with loads of content, despite having graphics that were transient & short-lived - ...Rather than a pretty looking game with almost nothing to do.
@@LarsSigvardWouldn't it be more awesome if you could have great graphics and great content in the same game? So... Do not settle for less just because a game have amazing content.
@@alexanderfiedorov925 You're right, it would be amazing, but it's not happening in the near future, that's for sure. For example, SSG has had several years to fix the lag. I will never call SSG incompetent, but they sure do take their time to fix things, despite being able to invest in themselves due to the money they take from VIP subscriptions, expansions, in-game store cosmetics, etc.

Nice news but what about the current problems, long loading times b4 quests and after them upto a minute, warsteed virus, my chars are doing combat without pushing a button, my mariner dazas while riding a horse and does combat, combat is also verry sluggish.
This stuff works with modern architecture but remember this game came out in 2007. Their tech stack is probably really really outdated, convulated and not able to just simply spin up new server instances. Not really their fault, it is what it is. I'm sure they would do it if they could.

Really Severlin, if you think pvp is balanced atm, have you ever played pvp at all? If not, try to do so for two nights, one night freep and next night creep.
I love trying new things. After 17 years Im bored with the stuff I've done 100 times. Would love LOTRO to do with an old expansion like WOW is doing with Mists of Pandaria
Very exciting news, however, I need to honestly admit that I am disappointed that the EU-based physical server will be Mordod and not Angmar. Also, I hope this will be noticed by the LOTRO team, but I am confused.. the talk about lag seems to be directed towards hitching, FPS drops and performance - I don't think that this is the 'lag' that people have issues with. When I talk about lag, I mean the server delays, the delays and 'freezing' when doing an action, casting a spell, talking to NPC, rubberbanding, characting freezing in place and unable to move for half a minute, etc. Those things have nothing to do with FPS.. it is one thing to address stuttering, hitching, maybe even crashing, but let's not confuse the term 'connectivity lag' with game 'performance', please!
