It's excellent. I just think they just need to increase the tempo just a smidge and it would be perfect. But she has that sultry edge that Alannah has for sure.

The song is in a twice slower rhythm, at times it resembles a funeral procession. Only the chorus stands out, thanks to the great head of the singer, but the rest of the time you would fall asleep

usually..........covers are at best a facsimile of the original , the notes are there but they lose the heat and the passion, the "music" of the original. ABBY is absolutely bringing the heat! Smokin! The ONLY suggestion I have is for the band to bring a little more heat also. ALL the guys are obviously excellent players , I'd just prefer a little "kickin it" from the bass and drums...and I'm pretty sure they can bring the heat. And that's the ONLY thing I'd change.....really REALLY good job!
Fabulous version, sound recorder needed to bring her voice down a little a notch or two as it dominates too much.

Abby has definitely got it. The guitarist... badly lacking the fire and attitude of Alannah's lead player.
This is way slower and softer than the original. It's also one guitar player, whereas the original recording has multiple guitar layers, both clean acoustic and a crunchy electric rock leads. That might be what you're hearing, unless you're simply talking about his physical stage presence. In that case... it's definitely a lot easier to have fire and attitude when you're playing a song that you actually wrote in front of a packed stadium, as opposed to performing another redundant cover gig in exchange for peanuts and soda. That being said... He does look like he is half asleep. LOL :D
