    Thank you! This was easily the best video I have seen for the Prius! A lot don’t go into detail, you were thorough and you camera was locked in on the transmission!

    Awesome video!! Where is the transmission fluid dipstick? I could never find it on my corolla and I'm abt to purchase a prius!!

      @HadesOmega  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is none you check the level by removing the fill plug. If the oil is level with the hole it is the correct amount.

    What kind of little black hose did you use and what are the detentions?

  • @danielmalloy6093

    Use a long neck funnel with the plastic attach. fits just right. Use brake cleaner for both plug cleans, save some time. I used Amsoil CVT Synthetic. after 130,000k no problems. Will change at 150k.

    Hi does the 2004 prius hybrid has a transmission fluid dipstick? I looked everywhere i cant find it please?

    • @HadesOmega
      @HadesOmega  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it does not it just has a fill plug. Once fluid starts seeping from the hole it is filled and just put the plug back in. To check the level try to get the car on level ground and take out the fill plug. If oil starts seeping out level is fine. If it doesn't stick your finger in the hole dab it downward a bit and if you finger has oil on it the level is fine. If not you should add fluid.

    When you pull the drain plug don't you all so have to remove the plastic tube that is inside the pan to fully drain all transmission fluid?

      its not like a typical automatic transmission it acts more like a manual transmission were the gear and bearing sit in the oil
