The character of Goldbraith being added to the game is such a heartwarming gesture. Alzheimers is horrible, but for that fan to have a memorial to his father eternalised in the game, it doesn't quite bring him back but helps to conserve the time they had together.
With how hetic and time consuming game development can be it always warms my heart when developers go as far to include a whole npc. Borderlands 2 did the same thing and even today I tear up thinking about how wonderful it is to have a helpful beloved npc being apart of a good persons legacy
Fun fact about the orthon explosives. You can get better ones. If you decide to fight the Orthon in the temple he’ll throw out lots of explosives as a suicide attempt. While the explosives on the ground you can pick them up before they explode and use them later. They can do up to 60 fire damage a piece.
@@FrostyFyre Not on my play through. Still got them in act 3. Veeeeery powerful stuff. Though with Gortash bombs I never kept them. I always just threw them at the enemy since… Its a slog to get to the top and there are perfectly good bombs sitting there, begging to be thrown at bane’s followers. Lol
@@roguelionproductions3030 last playthrough I just one-shot him with Blood Money after reverse pickpocketing $$ on him, mind you it's been updated so you don't get your money back now so I'll probably end up doing the same as you now lol
So, in moonrise prison those gnomes get those clubs right, well they are cool cause they actually auto equip, so if take one to act 3 and save duke ravenguard you can reverse pickpocket the club into his inventory which should auto equip and will make his sword available to be pickpocketed from him.
Infernal Fury’s “hidden” bonus damage is likely due to a 2nd damage source from the [Tavern Brawler] feat. It adds the damage a 2nd time causing an extra 1d4 fire damage to stack with the first/original damage source. Which means it’ll also apply to improvised weapon damage as well as throwing damage. However, this also means that without [Tavern Brawler], Karlach won’t receive the “hidden bonus” to damage from the Soul Coin.
But why wouldn't you use it? Also it bypasses requirement to rage or be under 25%, but I didn't know it would stack if that requirement is met that's actually crazy.
Also it doesn't look like you even need to use the soul coin. Or maybe it's just because I convinced karlach that it would be wrong to use them, but she never used it and still has the buff.
Im 950 Hours deep into BG3, having completed several Solo and Multiplayer playthroughs and haven't seen so many of these! Its insane, I feel like every playthrough I go through I learn or encounter something new, such amazing work from Larian. Great video once again! 👍
If you fight Yurgir in act 2 when you first meet him, near his death he will throw around like 12 to 15 of 'em if you hurry and pick em all up you are in for a blast
Weird. I'm about 875 hours and the only ones I haven't done is eating the mind flayer brain (never occurred to me), and I was unable to enter the Upper City sewer (the grate didn't break for me). Most of the rest I'm kinda surprised made the list, like the Umberlee cave, which I thought was pretty obvious. Half expected to see something like the Boaal worshippers or second mithril ore at that point.

Blazing retaliation - You totally forgot to mention how to find it. You can use speak with the dead on Marcus after boss fight with him, you can ask about treasure and you will get coordinates.
9:40 fun fact! If lae’zel isn’t in your party. Her event that makes you take a long rest doesn’t trigger. Meaning if she dies or never joins your party. Everyone including you can hog your semi permanent bless buff for all of act 1 and 2. Just don’t die, or respec.
This is what I did on accident my first playthrough, my party was mostly martials, and with all those permanent buffs I felt like I couldn't rest. Bless + 1d4 radiant dmg + bliss spores + Shar's 3 blessings, I was unstoppable
So since everyone in the comments didn't comment on this. You know those masks you turned into explosives in the beginning? IF you choose to keep them, and more than one character wears them (at the same time), they all gain a unique hidden buff that ONLY APPEARS when more than one character is wearing them. It grants +3 to strength and -3 to some other stats (i think the spellcasting stats). Great buff for barbarians and other strength classes, as well as murderhobo runs. It may also add some other effects, but I don't recall what past the stat changes
It's a fun secret, but not very good. +3 str is not worth the collective -9 mental stats. Even if you don't have spellcasters, you will fail so many saving throws against enemy spells
The fact Larian listens to their fans and works in characters like Goldbraidth is EXACTLY why they need to take all our support. They truly did an amazing thing with this game
@@Paul-e2z really? Dang I thought I heard somewhere that once thrown they were set to explode and would go off on a long rest just like Gortash’s so I never even tried. Guess I know what I’m doing on next playthrough!
another cool secret that I didn't know until my 5th playthrough is that there's a special level 12 cursed imp enemy in the game which is guaranteed to kill one of your party members if you try to kill it in one go by attacking it. It is found on a boat near the Steel Watch Foundry.
When you save Duke Ravengard from the Iron Throne, you can just throw his sword and shield on the ground when you control him during the battle, and then pick them up with your characters.
Damn. Missed the ring. But it's also kind of silly how survival is almost only used for the random chests in the ground. And you can still just use a shovel to dig them out even if you fail the check.
Yeah. I feel like the missed a trick with Honour mode. They included the option to not get notified when you fail a check in Custom mode, but didn't put it into Honour mode automatically.
In regard to the survival checks, you don't actually need to pass the check. Just go into your inventory, right click the shovel and choose start digging and dig where it gave you the survival check.
So there is a ring that is AWESOME for a Warlock/Pallock build character in Act 1. It's called Ring of Arcane Synergy. Basically, with this ring you can use your Eldritch Blast, and on the next turn you can attack and deal additional damage based. If you've got a High-CHA build Pact of the Blade character, that means you can get up to an additional +6 damage if you've used all your feats on ASI to max your CHA.
Omg, i went the City Cewers backwards because you can jump through the windows into the room... Finally after 350 hours, i felt like i outsmarted larian because down there is also this invisible helper wich does nothing? But again, i was mistaken ^^
You can actually farm Orthon Explosives. If you disarm Yurgir completely in your first fight and bring his health to certain point, he tosses a bunch of them that can be picked up and sent to camp (about 8-10). Keep healing Yurgir and then bringing his health down to prompt the bomb spread. Yurgir, who can’t use attacks without any weapons cannot harm you, so feel free to repeat the cycle. That’s how I got ~160 of them and had a hell of a time. Ideally, bring him to the upper level of his arena since the bombs will be spread in a smaller area, making it easy to spend a turn picking all of them up.
also you can find the shield if you cast “speak with death” on Marcus’ corpse (if you kill him)! he will reveal it to you making easier to find the shield
The frog was a pain, really. Wasn't prepared, the frog left my team in a worse shape than both the elemental lava and Grym (lower level, team needed a long rest to refill the spells and no more short rest to restore abilities). For them i prepared illlmater arrows to prevent the regen in lava, elixirs and other and done. For the frog i was like "WTF ?!"
You can get a lot of the orthon explosives if you grab those Yurgir throws. Just grab them before the next round starts, or they will explode in your inventory. I Got like 10. They Were very handy.
You can kill ravengard if you fight gortash when you first meet him at wyrms crossing, loot the sword from him and if wyll is still on your party then mizora will offer a pact deal to wyll to revive ravengard.
When you help the newborn mind flayer and have all the illithid powers, you will instead be rewarded with the ability to fly. So you don't have to become partial-illithid to fly.
So ravenguard’s sword. I had it where ravenguard was infected by a tadpole, so I had to kill him fighting gortash, but then was able to have wyll rejoin a pact with Mizora to bring him back.
If I'm not mistaken when freeing Ravengard from the prison once you gain control of him can't you just make him throw his weapon and shield on the ground then pick them up, no more complicated than that?
The masks themselves have a hidden trait that gives x strength to the wearer where x is equal to the number of other characters wearing it within a radius.

I think the 2d4 fire damage from Soul Coin interaction with Karlach is happening due to Tavern Brawler Feat interaction.
