    Having gotten the Moondrop Kato recently I am in love with their sound and the tuning is right where I'd want it to be (minus a few occasions where the 6khz-ish dip does leave me wanting a smidgen more clarity, but that's nit-picking at this point) what grabbed my attention on these was namely their price and how close they come to the Kato tuning (as far as Crin's graphs have to say about it) while having that perfectly ergonomic shell that I've come to love from the Kinera Idun and JQ 4U Pro. I am a tad concerned about the 4khz-ish dip but everything else seems "fine" graph wise.

    How the L4 compare to the Mangird Tea? I want one of those two and I wonder how different they are in technicalities, mainly soundstage, imaging and separation.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They're pretty close actually in technicalities. I would say the TEA has a slightly bigger soundstage and better imaging but the L4 has better instrument separation and clarity.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you using the same source as you were at the store? In my experience, IEMs don't change with burn in. I'd be willing to bet the difference is related to something else (source, eartips, music files etc.)

    Got these earlier this year secondhand for 120 US.
    Amazing fit, good bass and resolution, decent tuning, too bright for my taste but not really offensive.
    Soundstage depth is extremely narrow, almost non-existent, probably my biggest gripe with the L4.
    Overall, I wouldn't rec these for $199 given current competition but not half bad if you can find it for 100-120.

    Does bass really benefit in adjusting the tuning switch?

    • @PrimeAudioReviews

      Yep. Not by a lot - the biggest difference is in cutting the mids slightly which brings the relative level of bass forward, but the bass gets a little boost too.
