Mr. Tan See Leng, why not ask PM Lawrence Wong to give your position to a Foreign Talent instead. Then you report to the Foreign Talent.
Post comment: Any reader who does not know what is Tongue in Cheek and has absolutely no Sense of Humour, Kindly do not reply to my comments especially those readers who is shameless to call others Stupid and not themselves.
And here we are talking about FT taking away Good Jobs but Singapore Talents are not given a Fair Field to challenge for those Good Jobs.

Right don't talk too much, we want jobs in Spore to be given to Sporeans first before using foreigners. It's about time these extremely well paid ministers pack up and retire and give the chance for well deserved local born Sporeans who have hidden talents, as the present batch of ministers have run out of ideas to bring back the Spore that LKY has made.

Most Singaporeans will not get such jobs. But MOM will say at least benefit some Singaporean. Then they convert some of the global team into PR to absorb the stats is local getting good jobs.

As an NCMP, I can see LMW doing his level best to represent Singaporeans. He unfortunately does not have the neutral support of the parliament on his points.
The Speaker of the house should be consistent in allowing NCMP to complete their narratives to bring more context to the debate. This is apparently not from this snippet.
The government did not answer to the queries totally. Also, data that was quoted in response should be made available to the public. As the reported numbers does not seem to be what is being observed by us, laymen.

4G million $$ ministers attend parliament without data. I got Malaysian & SG PR friends earn more than our SG citizens. They earned almost S$4K while our locals only $2.5k to $3k. Its the truth.
I had seen office workplace discrimination whereby siblings brought siblings, spouse brought spouse, friends brought friends, through backdoor. Minister Tan S L lost touch with the ground. Just do a check starting from TH owned companies you will get the result. The bill on workplace discrimination is blatant just to show to us on display.
Elderly above 60 yrs old jobless inspite of their work experienced. Grads no job but drive grab. Eventually, elderly will do exercise by collecting cardboards to sell. He stayed in 26 million house on top of ivory tower does not know the lower & hard squeezed middle class suffering to cope with high cost of living, utility bills, conservative charges, medical & dental costs, transport cost, food costs etc. Time for a change if the current million $$ takes care of the minority elite fr overseas instead of the lower & hard squeezed middle class that earn real peanuts.

PMET jobs are now displaced by new foreigners brought in by ruling party... Worst still jobless citizen to survive, most take up gigs(grab food, food panda, lalamove) working several jobs and long hour a day. Hence, employment number have not drop but salary for families have drop significantly. This is what Mr Leong mentioned under employment(meaning, the person is not employed based on his skills and qualification). 1/3 of local employed in foreign firm are foreigners converted citizen not citizen. These new citizen will later be motivated to vote for ruling party. If there are so many improvement, why is there so many graduate driving grab and joining security guard? Really good with playing around with words. There is a difference between resident and Singaporean. Both are not the same. Every time he mentions that the number of residents in PMET jobs have gone up, it includes foreigners as well, anyone that stays and works in Singapore for more than 6 months is considered a resident. So, how many of the "increase in number of residents in PMET" are actually Singaporeans? Be direct and tell how many Singaporeans instead of hiding behind the term residents.

The voting process was surreptitiously changed in I reckon the late 1980s (李光耀) to the Group Representation Constituency (GRC) - ballots which were previously all consolidated in a huge, single ballot box were now subdivided as per the GRC.
The government ∴ knows PRECINCT BY PRECINCT how people vote - those electoral wards which have a tenancy to vote for the opposition end up getting reorganised as per the GRC electoral scheme to be matched with those that predominately vote for the People’s Action Party (PAP).
Furthermore, the costs on establishing a political platform in Singapore are astronomical & terrifyingly risky - especially considering the recent history of (suspected) dissent (e.g. 1987’s 光譜行動).
The government sectors (i.e. the civil service statutory boards) are ∴ de-facto PAP organisations.
You furthermore I am sure know HDB (Housing & Development Board) public housing wards which voted for the opposition were even brazenly denied infrastructural upgrading (吳作棟).
In addition, the Elections Department is not even an independent organisation - it comes directly under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The HDB public housing scheme is I would reckon the bedrock of the People’s Action Party’s (PAP’s) extraordinary longevity complemented with the ease of consolidating & controlling as well as governing & managing an (independent) city-state.
The oldest flats are however over a half century old & a ticking time bomb & will generally be worth nothing considering the 99-year lease - unless one happens to be exceptionally fortunate enough to be residing in a Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS) apartment block.
In addition, speaking of “home ownership”, I am sure you know the HDB ultimately owns the flat - i.e. their occupants are NOT strata owners a.k.a. subsidiary proprietors.
The perfidy of institutionalised racism as well as its ramifications must ∴ be evoked, especially vis-à-vis the public housing quotas as well as immigration (permanent residency [PR]).
In the meantime, I am sure you know the (foreign) influx of “new citizens” from dodgy permanent residents (PRs) to ostensibly make up for birth rate shortfall is the ruling regime’s “vote bank” vis-à-vis what I mentioned earlier.
The “new citizens” are after all of voting age (adults) the moment they become Singapore citizens & will ∴ perpetrate the PAP regime’s longevity by (generally) voting for the PAP.
In addition, the “new citizens” were (generally) never subjected to years of full-time conscription (NSF) as well as lifelong reservist liability (NSmen).
