Looking at the numerous occasions that LMW had breached parliamentary rules, he shd be removed from parliament straightaway n made to explain why he shd be there in the first place. The first rule of being in parliament shd be to observe parliamentary rules.
@@oyu7505again, nowhere does speaker seah mention that Mr. Leong had broken any rules of parliament. I suggest you timestamp the moment he mentions a rule being broken, rather than espounge on simply why he had requested an apology from Mr. Leong
Why does he have to make such a long speech on LMW's insignificant comment on podcast. Whether speaker has been impartial towards opposition mps, audience has the discretion to understand from his actions. Of course, im in the view that SKP has been partial towards opposition members of Parliament. One good example is He Ting Ru was invited to speak in parliament when the crowd all walked out to eat the cake prepared by Indranee for LHL's retirement as pm.
Mr Leong Mun Wai added: “This was in no way meant to be a comment on Speaker’s impartiality. Speaker has, on various occasions, called me ahead of other members.”
We should vote for opposition this coming election, because they helped to expose the short coming of PAP. And so far I haven’t seen any short coming of opposition. 😂
Why can't more opposition members be voted into the Parliament? What wrong have they done to deserve degrading judgement? Aren't they given same level of treatment as any other SG citizens?
Very gentleman unlike my neighbor who is super petty, he only allow people to praise him and not even any tongue in cheek criticism at him. His whole life not used to being criticised
Mr Leong clarified that his response to Haresh’s earlier comment was intended as a light-hearted remark at the beginning of the podcast to set a relaxed tone.
You know how much it cost the tax payer for this petty 15 mins speech which can be done in 2 mins? Just add the salaries of the people in parliament that day plus the cost of the broadcast for that 15mins? That 15mins could also be used for a smoke or toilet break which would have been more productive. I hope this SKP will be replaced asap.
Oh dear, this is the dismal low quality of our new Speaker who took over from Tan Chuan Jin? How depressing for Singapore. SKP kept repeating himself ad nauseam and said the same old thing Again.... and Again..... Now I know why Ministers and MPs are so highly paid in Singapore. They are forced to sit in Parliament and listen to this endless repetition of mundane gibberish. It is the modern version of enduring torture. Call it hardship pay. The matter could be addressed within a few minutes. So incredibly petty. 小气. Not a man destined to do great things.

The opposition parties have been issued numerous pofmas for spreading lies. Even the opposition leader has been charged for lying under oath. They're really terrible!😂😂
surely this could've been resolved in a 2 min statement....
This is an abuse of parlimentary priviliges!

To be truly impartial Speaker should not come from any party.
Yes, I should be the Speaker! Huat Ah!
the speaker is always from largest party.

There have been growing concerns over the years about whether the management of the PA should be less politicised.

How could he have breached a parliamentary rule when the subject of this address was outside of parliament?
@arkhera4375 . Pl listen to the Speaker's speech on the rule that LMW has breached.
too bad ppl nowadays think politics is entertainment so LMW is good for that purpose

Singaporeans responding to the issue online extended support to Mr Leong, but the PA GRO in Sengkang West appears to have a different view.
The Speaker clearly has non sense of humour. His lengthy statement sounds like a LONG LECTURE.
