Great battle report. However plasma on crisis suits and lots of Battlesuits but nearly no drones I knew the result was almost inevitable. However James was fun to watch and took it all in his stride, and I actually thought his tactical talk at the start and during the battle was good. Also great looking Tau force, looking forward to seeing more of James and his Tau.
Its good to see assault squads still in use. I love them so much and you don’t really see them anymore. I use them to lock down opponents in melee that are AT threats.
okay, srsly, im only 39 minutes in and it does in no way feel like he is a new member of the team but like he was there all the time; he smoothly fits in, great addition! Having a blast watching it :)

It's nice to see someone using the Supernova launcher as it doesn't appear to be a feature of many T'au lists - I have fielded this consistently on an XV84 Commander throughout all of 8th Ed & I would never leave home without it !

This was a great introductory game for James. Loved the banter for sure! :) Pretty armies, too! Something for Mr Beard: the Icarus Rocket Pod no longer gets the +1 versus Flyers (just Aircraft) but is D2. :)

Loves James and it’s great to have a tau player on the channel but mate you’ve to use our strats. Focussed fury, command and control node, Ariel targeting, multi-spectrum sensor suite, defence in numbers can and would have made a huge difference! Looking forward to more fish flavoured batreps :)

God, this was a good one fellas! Beard never disappointing with the list (Dreadnoughts or go home) and those Tau looking amazing with the paintwork (what colours are those btw?)
James is such a 'gut' addition to your team. I really like the atmosphere between Beard and James! As a german i was confused to hear my language ^^ But he said everything right. Thumbs up for this batrep and James german skills ;) where did he learn this?
It's a struggle, especially with the shape we're in right now. I just go in knowing I'll lose, but at least I can keep it close and learn something new.
@@jbumgarn At one point early in 9th I had a particularly bad run, got steamrolled by everyone and was basically told, "use Seigler's netlist T'au or give up". Then, I ran into a veteran Ork player. We had a really fun game, I lost but managed to keep two objectives until the last turn. We talked, and he asked me what I wanted out of 40k. Do I just want to win? Do I want to see certain models on the tabletop? Do I want to tell a story? And he gave me the best advice I could have asked for. "It doesn't matter what other people think is good. Those are YOUR models. YOU glued them, painted them up, and brought them out to play. If you're using the guys you love, you'll never really lose" And it was true. The next game I played Space Wolves, and while I lost (Vanguard Vets with Storm Shields are a PAIN), my Ghostkeel got a victory by erasing a unit of Eradicators with her relic Fusion Cannon, drawing those VanVets into a charge, and allowing the Stealth Suits she was babysitting to escape and help elsewhere, dying as a Hero of the Greater Good amid a fusion-powered Failsafe Detonator explosion that killed yet another enemy model. Yeah it sucks that we don't get the curbstomp victories that AdMech or Drukhari players get, but I'm attached to my little mecha goats, and I'm gonna keep playing T'au for a good long while.
After seeing the 2 lists, the outcome was pretty much decided already but hey, kudos for trying James. Awesome quality batrep as always, keepup the good work!

We have reached a new level of silly with this one! Good game, no major rule mixups, easy to follow too. Are T'au actually bad right now or was that just a lot of luck? That melee between Rippy T and the Space Marine was rough.
Tau have been really really bad for all of 9th. It goes to show when they have tons of players but only one tournament placement, using list tailored to getting the most out of the terrain of said tournament and said list being piloted by an incredible player.
If you can still have a laugh while playing the Tau in their current state you are the ultimate good sport. James is a great addition.
