The way I see it, every series that plans on being more than 3 seasons needs to name the 1st episode Pilot. It is the very first episode and you do NOT want to give ANYTHING away. But, that is just my opinion.
At this time, supergirl was airing on cbs and arrow and flash were airing on the cw. So it was up in the air how they were going to be part of the arrowverse
I think I'm going to like Alex and Jimmy the most, Winn is too typical for the best friend love interest stuff and I need more on Cat Grant to see what's up with her

this show digs into superman lore and brings back some familiar faces from previous superman media that you will see as the show goes on
Funny enough I never really watched a lot of superman after the first 2 80's movies and the one's with Cavill

This is awesome that they did this. I completely blanked on who Dean Cain was, I remember commercials from the show but never watched it
Dean Cain's character in Smallville was meant to be Vandal savage but DC wouldn't allow them to use the character, so they had to change the name

I thought it was really good, hooked me. We got our introductions and the main story point of the season

Not a bad idea, just funny with Arrowverse they have some awesome titles and they just name the first one pilot
