Continuing a tradition from Superman-related media to feature previous actors, starting here with Helen Slater (Kara in the 1984 movie and Kal's mother Lara in Smallville) and Dean Cain (Clark/Superman from Lois & Clark in the 90s) - he also played a one-shot villain named Curtis Knox (same initials as Clark) in Smallville, commonly thought to be a version of Vandal Savage.

Dean Cain's character in Smallville was meant to be Vandal savage but DC wouldn't allow them to use the character, so they had to change the name

A surprising number of the actors who appear in Supergirl have been in some Super adaptation. Her mum plated Supergirl in the 70s movie. Her dad played Superman in the show Lois and Clark

also, a bit of trivia Mellissa Benoist who plays Supergirl was on the show glee which grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen on the flash was also on they both have a musical background and are both Accelent singers

@@Lets-Get-To-The-Show in fact almost all the cast are singers the Arrowverse has a talent of casting People who are also great singers cast members of Supergirl Chyler leigh who plays Alex and Jeremy Jordan who plays Winn are great singers ,cast members of the flash Carlos Valdes who plays Cisco and Jesse L martin who plays joe west are also great singers, cast members of Arrow Stephen Amell who plays Oliver, John Barrowman who plays Malcolm Merlyn, Colton Haynes who plays Roy Harper, Colin Donnel who plays Tommy Merlyn, Caity Lotz who plays Sara Lance Katrina Law who plays Nyssa are all great singers there are videos on TH-cam where you can find some of the cast singing

The way I see it, every series that plans on being more than 3 seasons needs to name the 1st episode Pilot. It is the very first episode and you do NOT want to give ANYTHING away. But, that is just my opinion.

At this time, supergirl was airing on cbs and arrow and flash were airing on the cw. So it was up in the air how they were going to be part of the arrowverse

I think I'm going to like Alex and Jimmy the most, Winn is too typical for the best friend love interest stuff and I need more on Cat Grant to see what's up with her
