This brings back my final goodbye to my father to Parkinson's in 2014. He asked me to kiss him goodbye and leave-he didn't want me to see him like that. So I kissed him, said "You know you're always with me, don't you Daddy?" He said "Yes," and I said "I love you," he said it back, and as I left the room I knew those were the last words we'd ever share. I knew I'd get the call the next morning, asked my boyfriend to stay, but he couldn't, had to drive back home (but came back the next day). And sure enough, the next morning as I was walking across my living room, my phone rang, and my heart sank. It was my sister, with the news. My first question was "Was he alone?" She said no, but I realized later that was a silly question. Because I knew his mother's and father's spirits were there with him, I'd felt them, ready to help on the next path of his journey. I'm totally sobbing now. Ten years, forever ago, and an instant ago at the same time. But I feel Daddy with me all the time. And I know I'll see him again. Love you, Daddy! I miss you so much, but treasure every moment we had together, even the rough ones.

I had to say goodbye to my Mom back on June 2nd. I am 32 years old, but I am a mom, and this breaks my heart in more than one way.

@cameron-airame Thank you. She died due to Tramatic Brain Injury, due to a wreck we were in less than a month prior. I still miss her so much. She was one of my best friends.

@cameron-airame I was driving and couldn't stop in time, I skidded into the car ahead of us. I didn't think to ask my mom if she was wearing a seat belt before we headed out. This may seem weird, but when I was saying my goodbyes and love yous to her, I asked her to give me a sign. A few hours after she had passed, I was resting in my bed. I suddenly jolted awake when I noticed my wedding ring wasn't on my finger. My husband and I looked for it for 5 to 10 minutes. I suddenly thought of what I had said to her and said aloud. " Mom, I know it is you. This is not funny, you know how much that ring means to me. Pleeeease give it back." A minute later, I checked at the bottom of the bed, on the floor, where we had already looked at twice, and there was my wedding ring on the floor. My husband and I chuckled and knew it was my mom's way of pranking me and giving me a sign that it was her. She had always said that when she died, she would give me a sign by pranking me. To this day, I still sense her around me from time to time. She was a prankster when she was younger

You should post more of this show. I’ve never see it before. I’m guessing it’s old and no longer aired. Between, General Hospital, Scrubs, House, New Amsterdam, ER, Grays Anatomy, Chicago MD and now Mercy, when I thought I’d see. It all lol. I love medical shows

I started crying at the end cause I am 10 and I know I am not supposed to watch this but I wannabe a doctor when I grow up. And this broke my heart cause I love my mom so much and I would never stop crying on the day she dies. I still cry whenever she's sick cause I don't want her to die.
A doctor is a very hard job but a very worthwhile job. It’s ok to be sad thinking about not having your mom, but that is probably going to be a VERY long time from now. In the meantime, be close, make memories, enjoy your time with each other. We also all get upset with each other sometimes, but try to never go to bed mad at each other, as we never know the last time we will see each other. Love the family you are born into, and continue to make new family through friends you meet in life. Love and care for each other, and I think if you work hard at school, maybe visit some elderly centers in your area, you will make a very good and caring doctor.
I’m not afraid of dying, I’m afraid of watching the people I love die. It’s just not worth worrying about what might happen now, but it’s good to be ready for the inevitable. It helps to believe in an afterlife, religious or not.

I watched my mother die in the hospital about 3 weeks ago. I tried to take care of her for weeks before, but cancer took her away from us. 2024, so far, has really sucked.

When the lady’s heart started to fail and they had to shock her back all the doctors are so calm like nothing bad is happening and the doctors are all just standing around her bed like everything is fine and it took them so long just to put those shock things on her the guy was like moving in slow motion to put them on her to shock her
Plus the doctor did not even no the right name for why her blood was not clotting
These are probably some of the worst doctors ever the girl is pretty much dying and the doctors are just standing around her bed like it’s no big deal
And then the doctor saids to the girl we can’t fix her the doctors barley did anything like seriously the doctor did nothing there was no medicine they gave her they did no tests
These doctors are really bad bad
They just gave up they could of saved her but they did nothing to try
No Medicines no scenes no tests results they just gave up
And they did not even call the police in to try and find the people who did this to her

Not only is it a TV show but they couldn't do anything to help her so all they could do is comfort her.

At 47 seconds the doctor asks the nurse how they know each other and they said they went to high school together. 🤷🏼♀️

hes mostly not working on her, just calling the daughter to try and get her to the hospital in time. At the beginning when he is helping its because its an emergency situation and there is not enough time to get another nurse. If the patient is literally dying the doctor isnt going to stop and say "hey, you shouldn't be bringing her back to life, go get another nurse, I'll wait." After that initial emergency, the man who knows her is basically there as a friend to support her. At least, thats how I interpret it.
It’s Hollywood but normally no. If there’s another available nurse they’ll use them, unless they are that busy or that under staffed then yes, then they don’t have a choice tell someone can fill in. Also given the situation, how critical she is and In hers, apparently very critical.
I hate to say it because I like the actors in this clip (James Van Der Beek, Guillermo Diaz, James le Gros), but the acting was wooden and the writing was atrocious. If the entire show was like this I'm surprised it lasted a full season, but I guess this was before the current environment of "cancel every show after 5 episodes if it isn't the #1 show in its category"

didn't you listen to the dialogue? they knew it was the end, they knew the last injection would only bring her back for a few seconds and there was nothing else they could do. they brought the daughter in so she could say goodbye while her mother was still kind-of alive. if they waited any loger the daughter would have waked in on a corpse instead
