click on setting, speed set at .75 and it's pretty good. Second time to listen to this story. It awfully good in a memorizing way. Talk about suspense. I kept saying "what would I do"?
According to my TH-cam statistical analysis, 80% or more of my viewers in this channel are using their cellphones to listen to/view my videos. I can see that it might be difficult to navigate the TH-cam Apps on the tiny screen in order to locate the setting feature to adjust the video playback speed. Having said that, I've decided to slow down the narration speed with a trade off of a longer video length. Here are the two new J R books using this approach. And please subscribe to my channel to get the most recent update of my new audiobook production. Killing Floor 1/34 by Lee Child [Jack Reacher #1] - multi-voice audiobook :: th-cam.com/video/1fIgWyCLskI/w-d-xo.html Worth Dying For [1/12] - narrated by AI generated voices :: th-cam.com/video/TdT9oCmkVFI/w-d-xo.html
I’m hoping I can find this audiobook with a narration that makes sense. This was dreadful even though I slowed the speed. Who in their right mind would upload such a murderous version of the English language!
Definitely rhe best I've heard done by TTS still lots of room for improvement though , how about if the dialogue was louder than the " he said , she said comments etc ? maybe some more pauses where there are commas also ..otherwise much better the Brit voice because less nasal and more understandable and better pronounciation ..nearly there :)
I Truly hate to think computer generated narration will replace people’s reading jobs. While I endured this to the end just cause I like Lee child, It was awful !
I know! I've got a long list of mispronounced words that I needed to teach the Google WaveNet server to properly pronounce . There's a lot of room for improvement in so many ways for this Google learning machine.
I find this ai generated narration very interesting... wish it would pause a little bit between the different scenes, as sometimes the transition takes me by surprise... but overall I hear the difference in characters in my mind, just like when actually reading the book... thank you for sharing this series...
I do not like the robot that is reading the book. It renders the creation of paragraphs and sentences and chapters incorrectly and screws up the continuity for me! There are times when I have to go back and begin a chapter or a sentence or a paragraph all over again and it leads me to great confusion at times!
FYI, it is actually read by Text-To-Speech AI program. I'm working on improving my program to use different voices per different characters in each story. But the tone and intonation for different dialog context would be a much more difficult challenge.
At first I couldn't handle the Google voicing....but the character and the author and the fact that I needed the diversion while working. ...I adapted and have gone thru at least four....and it has gotten better
Thank you Sharon for tip re: speed in settings ...or I would have deleted from my download playlist.
Thank you for posting amazing books

MORE REACHER PLEASE
Just slow the speed in youtube setting, Listeners. Try 0.75x. No big deal. Great book.
this computer generated audio is an insult to the author's work
So buy it.
Thanks for the UpL!
Use 75% as playback speed for improved speech.
That synthesizer should still be in beta.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to do this. I am super grateful. Plz lmk how I can support your work. Thanks, again!

Lee Child has never heard of editing; he's barely heard of the United States of America.
LC doesn't write, that isn't how it's done nowadays - he has a huge team of scriptwriters. And, yes he has, but his US writers correct things for him.

Thanks for this I love when the Google read says "Godsakes" like "God Sah-Keh"

It was a good book! I really like the Reacher novels!!
I don't suppose you have the visitor somewhere do you? Really enjoying the series thanks for sharing it.
Whoaaa.. I’ve heard this and this is a sped up recording - I can’t follow it 😕
change the speed. It's better at 80%
How about this one?

@@readitaloud7282 That’s a better speed for me..thank you 😊
The helicopter parts were closely based on the exploits of the real life Robert Mason .
Like listening to Stephen Hawking reading nursery rhymes

This is often so grime, but it ends so sweetly.
11 hours with that voice, I didn't even last 11 seconds
This is where I jumped ship… Jack reacher became a god… blocking a desert eagle round to the dome … ugh
Why is the Volume so LOW.....?
Keep in mind that Brits pronounce lots of words differently than we do in the US.
I guess that's the reason why Downton Abbey got cancelled ... sigh
👍
"El Zed" lol
Badly read with a robotic voice with no character about it. Almost a monotone. Can't listen to this.
Shame, because it's a good story.

Sounds like a dam robot
The Reacher character is the only redeeming quality of Childs writing.
Sue the narrator. Or lull the. Plug.
