Thank you so much for this recording. I had neck surgery ten years ago and was told no more roller coaster riding for me (a shame because I loved them and never had a problem with motion sickness). The 1970s, the disco and rock eras, were the sound track to my prime years of youth, so it is particularly disappointing to me that I can’t ride. But your video helps me have some idea of the experience!
I wonder if there is a way to catch the ride when Disco Inferno is the launch song. I have ridden it a couple times and that song is, by far, the best music for the experience.
Thanks for sharing this POV! I was a little concerned from watching another POV that Disney Binned the Queue again, but I'm glad there's actually alot of storytelling going on, unlike some of Disney's recent rides. I definitely have to check this out for myself in the future

This is one where the ride is even better than the video. The cars travel in 3 dimensions rather than the usual 2 of most roller coasters. It was great and highly recommend. Thanks for the video.
I loved it. It was intense for what I normally ride at Disney. I kept my eyes closed for some of it so i appreciate your POV. It was also after a downpour so it was all wet on the walkways. I will miss when it goes off virtual queue.

Just rode it yesterday. Anybody who watches this needs to ride it themselves as it is amazing and a roller coaster that just about anybody can enjoy. I have to say that the beginning was even more fun when I road it. The Big Bang doesn’t go off immediately. You’re sitting there waiting for it while listening to the guardians banter. It builds so much suspense not know when it’s going to happen.
I laughed pretty good when you finally broke your silence with your first “WOO!” Looks like the back seat is the best ride experience, just from the camera motion blur a little more speed being felt back there. Plus you get the front row view for the launch.
@@MovieFan1912 without the 180 turn though from the new trains the screens could have been on the other side. And it still would have been a backwards launch.
I'm going to Epcot this Wednesday and it sucks my company can't schedule this business trip a couple weeks later to be able to ride this. But I doubt many people would have a decent chance to go on it anyways with the reservation queue system unless they're very lucky.
Good idea! Although avengers campus at California adventure is getting the e ticket quinjet ride. But they haven't started construction on it yet. I hope they don't completely cancel it because disneyland California is my home park and id love to get on that ride. I hope I get to go to wdw one day though!

i'd like to see this get a lights on POV sometime, cause im rather scared of coasters, took me years to do space mountain once, I heard no inversions so I'm not against trying the ride, but I stay away from attractions like Rockin Rollercoaster for similar reasons.
Same here with the coaster fear. I screamed and almost died on the mummy. Can get through the yeti with a fake smile. Been trying to slowly get over my fear. Love guardians and want to try this but are there a lot of hills or just the big backwards thing and then twists and turns? I can do space mountain with ease? Is it similar? I wish I could ride a coaster full of people who are just as scared as I am like a little support group and therapy after lol
@@kailaninicoleevans4105 you can go on the Disney site there’s no drops or inversions but the g forces are pretty intense. I don’t think I can do it I’m terrified of rides completely in the dark but this looks so fun!
At age 61, this is probably my last roller coaster ride 😢 I loved them when I was young, and had just survived the Everest Yeti one the day before. Had no idea what I was in for! This one really slings you around. Not bumpy like the Everest ride, but don’t wear a hat, and hang on tight!!! 😮
Another vlogger said do the front row experience for the front row experience but honestly the middle was the best. You miss out a little because of how the screens calibrate with the ride vehicle. Back seat was great also but can't wait for Jack's review.
This video so does not do the ride justice. Guess you have to ride it to experience it. It's worth it and this brings back so many memories (as this was the song it was playing the first time I went).

Gotta agree with the comments: Jack you did superb on the filming. Preshow and Queue are immersive in storytelling, but the ride experience is meant to be in person, and sadly, only 1% of the population can afford that in their lifetime, so this is the best we can experience and it's underwhelming. :( That being said, this is a better quality video of that experience with multiple perspectives than I've seen online, so at least Jack is trying to bring this to a wider audience. Thanks Jack!!
Wait why is it playing "Conga" by Gloria Estefan? When I was on the ride, it was playing "One Way or Another" by Blondie. Did they replace Conga with that? Because it's a much better fit with the ride. (Edit: Okay I think its randomized. They have select songs they play on each ride at random. Well that sucks. At least this ride is hella awsome.)
Best ride at Disney hands down. They did a great job. It’s a cross between space mountain and rock n roller coaster. Just right level of intensity. Only criticism not sure all the songs really fit like Conga? And reverse launch could have been a little more intense. Overall amazing job tho and most fun I’ve had on a Disney ride
They honestly should stick with “I Ran So far away” I had the luck to ride it with that track and it was epic. You feel like you’re driving a ship in space jamming to one of Peter Quills jams😂
Road it last week. First of all, if you have not gone on it yet, I would not watch the video, or read this review for that matter, just do it and try to get row 9. By circumstance, I ended up in row 9 in the back, which is supposed to be one of best seats...the start of the ride is kind of subdued (probably by design), great video affects, but cars are creeping along like the people mover. All of a sudden the thing stops and spins around and I have a front row seat. Next thing I know we are accelerating backwards almost like a rocket and an old Blondie tune starts blasting. We are launched into outer space with great music and special effects. Truly fantastic...and I still do not know how they "beamed" us up" before the ride. Most amazing special affect I saw at Disney. Also, I just paid the extra 17 per person to purchase the lightning lane for 4 people, I have not been to Disney since 1985, best 68 bucks I have spent this year...

@@GAMEBOYFAN-xv9eg noooo not at all. It's more comparable to Space Mountain and Rockin Rollercoaster but smoother than a knife cutting through butter and added effect of the carts turning without it being jarring.
I still feel this ride looks incredibly redundant when Space Mountain already exists and is timeless whereas any live action movie ride has about 20 years max til it comes off incredibly dated.
While I am definitely disappointed that Disney didn't include even one animatronic, the ride looks like a lot of fun. It's just too bad that there are so many screens, no animatronics, and that the ride is in Walt Disney World (and EPCOT, no less!) instead of Avengers Campus.
@@jacecurtis1090 True, but Avengers Campus desperately needs a third attraction, and Walt Disney World already has the original Tower of Terror and Galactic Starcruiser, so I'd say it balances out. Plus, then all of the Avengers stuff would be in one place, so fans don't feel like they're missing out when they visit Avengers Campus.
Pretty cool, but I do feel like they could have done more with the "back to the beginning of time" premise to make it look less Space Mountain-ish (and maybe even sneak in some educational content!). Maybe I need to experience it in person to really judge. Of course, the ride system means that updating or overlaying the theming during the ride will be easy.
I definitely feel like adding a guardians of the galaxy roller coaster in EPCOT is cheapening the integrity of the park. Epcot has lately been branded as basically a bar for a while now and I wish disney management would take more time to push education in Epcot like they did once before. Epcot's educational rides have always been very charming and very worthwhile.

I think you said something about the camera doing the experience justice there at the end. I'm guessing the answer is no. Every review I've read/watched has raved about this ride, but it's hard to really get a feel for the motion of the ride with only screens as reference points, particularly watching it on my phone. I'd like to ride it before I say anything.
plus u have to remember these are disney shills reviewing it so they always going to say how wonderful it is. they could have a toliet Rollercoaster that sprays you with crap and they would say how wonderful it is.
@@cardman1031 I know that happens, and I have my own opinions about Disney and Disney influencers. It's just really hard to get a real feel for this coaster. It could literally be someone dancing around their TV in a dark room for all I know.
So I'll ask the wimp question since it's a little tough to tell from the video: no big drops, truly 'family friendly'? Like...love space mountain, love rock n roller coaster, expedition everest is too much for me because of the drop at the end...
@@DSNYNewscast I would never do everest based on that drop, but made it on cosmic rewind twice (LL and virtual queue). Definitely on the high end of intensity for what I'd be willing to do, but what a great ride. I'd say it's more intense than Rock n Roller Coaster (inversions don't scare me however) and certainly WAY more intense than space mountain. Can't wait to see a lights on vid so I can see what I actually rode! Great freakin ride.
funny cause I was gonna ask the same thing. I rode everest crying, haven't done space mountain cause I cried in the line, I did splash mountain when I was 4 but not ever again....but love the mummy 🤣 I don't do big coasters
@@lauravaleria I wound up going on it twice. It does not have big drops but it still feels pretty intense, likely because of the track layout combined with the turning cars. I won't do everest. The big drop at the end is way more than I can handle. Space mountain is honestly nothing - start there. Big THunder Mountain also, a good place to start. Cosmic rewind is definitely more intense than space mountain, without question. But as you can see, I went on it twice anyway.

It’s actually sometimes immediate and sometimes there is banter. I watched a TH-camr who had to wait like 1 minute there for the launch.

@@jacecurtis1090 True, but Avengers Campus desperately needs a third attraction, and Walt Disney World already has the original Tower of Terror and Galactic Starcruiser, so I'd say it balances out. Plus, then all of the Avengers stuff would be in one place, so fans don't feel like they're missing out when they visit Avengers Campus.

Pretty cool, but I do feel like they could have done more with the "back to the beginning of time" premise to make it look less Space Mountain-ish (and maybe even sneak in some educational content!). Maybe I need to experience it in person to really judge. Of course, the ride system means that updating or overlaying the theming during the ride will be easy.
I definitely feel like adding a guardians of the galaxy roller coaster in EPCOT is cheapening the integrity of the park. Epcot has lately been branded as basically a bar for a while now and I wish disney management would take more time to push education in Epcot like they did once before. Epcot's educational rides have always been very charming and very worthwhile.

I think you said something about the camera doing the experience justice there at the end. I'm guessing the answer is no. Every review I've read/watched has raved about this ride, but it's hard to really get a feel for the motion of the ride with only screens as reference points, particularly watching it on my phone. I'd like to ride it before I say anything.
plus u have to remember these are disney shills reviewing it so they always going to say how wonderful it is. they could have a toliet Rollercoaster that sprays you with crap and they would say how wonderful it is.
@@cardman1031 I know that happens, and I have my own opinions about Disney and Disney influencers. It's just really hard to get a real feel for this coaster. It could literally be someone dancing around their TV in a dark room for all I know.

So I'll ask the wimp question since it's a little tough to tell from the video: no big drops, truly 'family friendly'? Like...love space mountain, love rock n roller coaster, expedition everest is too much for me because of the drop at the end...
The intensity is somewhere between Space Mountain and a little bit like Everest.
@@DSNYNewscast I would never do everest based on that drop, but made it on cosmic rewind twice (LL and virtual queue).
Definitely on the high end of intensity for what I'd be willing to do, but what a great ride. I'd say it's more intense than Rock n Roller Coaster (inversions don't scare me however) and certainly WAY more intense than space mountain.

funny cause I was gonna ask the same thing. I rode everest crying, haven't done space mountain cause I cried in the line, I did splash mountain when I was 4 but not ever again....but love the mummy 🤣 I don't do big coasters
@@lauravaleria I wound up going on it twice. It does not have big drops but it still feels pretty intense, likely because of the track layout combined with the turning cars.
I won't do everest. The big drop at the end is way more than I can handle. Space mountain is honestly nothing - start there. Big THunder Mountain also, a good place to start.
Cosmic rewind is definitely more intense than space mountain, without question. But as you can see, I went on it twice anyway.
