In this video we will show you how to remove or replace the engine starter on Mazda CX-7. We demonstrated on a 2011 Mazda CX-7 but the procedure will be the same for the whole generation with the 2.3 engine it may also include Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6

Can it not be done from underneath?
I love hour videos, may this 2020 be more fruitful for you and your family. I may need to remove the starter from my 2014 CX5. Would you please let me know if it is better and easier to access it from below (jack it up and hold with stand) or would I need to remove the throttle and manifold like if I was cleaning the intake valves to access from top?
2:45 to 3:10 deals with removing a nut holding a coolant hose to a post on the starter. On the video once the nut is removed the hose easily pulls away. In reality the hose won't pull away. Its like it's connected somewhere else deeper into the car. I'm thinking of cutting the bracket off the hose and wiggling the starter around it. Anyone know a fix for this before I do?

That hose is attached to a bracket under the Turbo charger, it's a pain in the ass getting there, but you have to remove a hex nut , then you could easily losen the bracket on the starter, don't have to cut anything.
Hi. I've been watching a lot of your videos on TH-cam. I must say I've learned a lot from your videos. I have a 2012 Mazda CX7 that still runs perfectly. It's has about 60k miles in the meter and I love the car! But recently, the car has been consuming a lot of fuel. In fact, it's currently showing about 9.5 miles per gallon. This is very poor, right?? I do not know what to do as Mazda is not a very popular brand in my country and there's no Mazda specialists in my city at all. I do not know what to do. How do I fix this?? Please help me!!!

I did mine today all I removed was battery and intake cover took 25 min.

I have a 2007 Mazda CX7. The radiator was changed out along with the hose and the thermostat but its still running hot????? Can you please tell me what should i do???
Im guessing your AC doesn't work? Change out the clutch

Nope . They must be doing other work you only need to take the air filter box out

I am sorry, guys, but this engine LOOKS like it DEFINITELY needs removing from the car and rebuilding from A to Z. The visual condition is SERIOUSLY horrible. But I understand that these single-item repair/maintenance videos have to be like this. 👍🍀

@@juantimer Yes, I have. And I am not saying anything about replacing the engine or it looking dirty. It just needs a proper rebuild, unless you want to keep fixing various problems every other month. Doing everything at the same time saves lots of time/money and makes the car incomparably more reliable.
