- Shimano has released it’s biggest and toughest electric reel ever, the Beastmaster 12000. The reel has been designed to winch in the toughest of all gamefish, the broadbill swordfish, so Shimano New Zealand have designed a rod tough enough to handle swordfish. Matt Watson heads out to review this beast of a rod and reel combo while fishing for bluenose, bass (Wreckfish) and if it passes those tests, it will be used to target the biggest swordfish in the world found in New Zealand waters.

If you live in the US, good luck finding one or a local company to repair them. They’re rocking the 9000 B, but apparently that’s all we get
Not selling these in the United States is a huge loss of revenue! You might want to reconsider that
