I will agree with this review man, See the Ford is the oldest car here and yet it finished 3rd, shows how much of a smart fighter the Ford is The Tigor and Ameo are failures, true they are built well have good features but back seat needs a lot more attention and the engine in Tigor is way too lackluster for being in top 3
Not sure what's with the hate on this video. Just because your favorite brand or car didn't win the comparo doesn't mean the review is biased. They've simply listed the pros and cons of each car and picked the winner that ticked the most boxes across all categories. The Tigor is a good looking car and has oodles of luggage space, a great sound system, but a terribly underpowered engine. The Ameo has a great engine, but you cannot ignore the lack of rear seat space. The Aspire is a fantastic jack of all trades, ticks the most boxes right and if it were for me, I'd place it at #2, but that is subjective. Yes, Ford seriously needs to revise the equipment list on offer in this car. This is 2017 and not 2013 for crying out loud. Redo the dash and give us a touchscreen. And the bad city mileage does take away a few points from it. I'd have put the Xcent at #3 for that 3 cylinder engine and inadequate space for 3 at the back. I won't exactly call that 3 cylinder engine 'refined'. That's the only point I'd disagree with the comparo. And even though I hate Maruti for adamantly refusing to bring the 90PS version of the engine to the Dzire and Baleno for sake of 'mileage', I cannot fault Zigwheels for picking the Dzire as the winner of this comparo. It indeed ticks the most boxes to pick the #1 spot. P.s. I'm not brand loyal,and I'd still pick the Aspire for that engine, but I'm a buyer. It's a subjective decision for me. They are reviewers. They gotta be objective. People need to understand the difference.

Diesel compact sedans.. the zigwheels review. The very fact that they say dezire is great for Highway with its puny engine right after admitting that it does not have that punch in city traffic and you have to shift down to move... Like seriously, how rigged can it be? So here is the truth. Ameo Best power, quality and driver feedback, nothing touches the ameo. but you have to pay that much price and also suffer as a rear passenger with the cramped up rear leg room. Tigor I don't understand why you included the tigor in this segment, with its price & specs one can clearly see its aimed at a class down. The only similarity is its a compact sedan. Dezire and xcent is overpriced as hell with no driver enthusiasm whatsoever. And the dezire lacks any concern of safety and build quality. The door panels feels like that of the old Maruti 800, one can damage it with a strong kick. Aspire Mix of both worlds. Well balanced in terms of power, quality, safety and pricing. The driver feedback is great at the same time enough room for the passengers and practicality. Conclusion: 1) If all you care about is mileage and doesn't give two shits about your family in case there is an accident, go for the dezire. 2) If you have concern for the safety of your family, but is planning to use the car in the city only, buy the xcent, the steering is super light and easy to drive. 3) if you're a car enthusiast and love driving one. Loves the quality and safety a car offers, but at the same time doesn't have to carry much people in the rear and also doesn't bother much about the higher service costs, buy the Ameo. 4) if you really want a compact sedan, just to have a sedan, with a lot of space at the price of the hatchbacks of other manufacturers, buy the tigor. 5) If you're a family guy who's looking for a relatively safer car with lot of power and decent built quality, at the same time doesn't want it to burn a hole in your pocket go for the Aspire diesel.

Tigor offers the best, spending a little more than 9 lakhs can get you a full sedan.. boys you forgot to say the driving experience at speeds above 100..your favorite dzire will be the last. Tigor,Ford,vw are smooth and can feel the touch with ground...u guys just promoting Suzuki... You should have taken amaze, freaking u missed it..Tigor value for money if someone looking for a good drive in highways, seriously you won't race wen u ride with family...
Karthik was really having high expectations from the comparo. U really know the difference between a Maruti and a VW. I mean I own a Ciaz as well as an Ameo. Surprisingly, the Ameo weighs more than even the Ciaz. U being such an expert, was not expecting a miss on the quality, fit n finish. Anyways, Suzuki owners will never know wat the Germans mades actually are.
nikhil Kadam hey Nikhil! I know this is hard to digest, but the Dzire is great. And again - we can't take weight to be the only measure of safety. If that were the case - what about F1 cars? Trust us, we were surprised by the result too. The Dzire isn't the most peppy, but it is the compact sedan that has the most to offer now. Thanks again for the faith and the time. Take care.

Vineeth They are enthusiasts, they won't. But most people who just want a perfect family car which Wont make a hole in their pocket in terms of reliability, ownership and fuel efficiency and is also nice to drive around. The only reason I wong buy a Dzire is due to its lightweight. No other issues.
No U cant increase space inside a car even if U spend more or less, so is the pathetic 1.05l engine in Tigor, at least tata could have used the 1.3 DDis in Tigor, not this super sluggish 1.05 diesel

Vishal Kale No it isn't. We look at products not brands. What brand it is only comes after you have evaluated the product. The Tigor is their newest and best and yes just an incredible package. But when it comes to the engine the Tigor is very disappointing. Like we said in he verdict - the Tigor fits a very narrow use case. And if it had the 1.3 diesel Quadrajet - like in the Maruti - boy, it would have been a very different story. Thanks for watching.

Disagree with that, see Tigor in my opinion is a lost product , it dosent reach both sides ie the compact sedan or the micr hatch segment ie the celerio,Kwid,Alto segment Maybe Tata wanted a sub 4m compact compact sedan, but its a let down, true its good value for money but compared to competition the big miss are the lack of space and the PATHETIC diesel engine, both big ailments in a segment where almost all are being perfected by global brands like Hyundai, Suzuki,Ford etc

I have used Tigor's Infotainment System and it is not laggy and in India even 4 people comfortably sit at the back of i10 or Alto. It's better that buying a Hyundai Verna, Honda City, etc. or Ecosport, Nexon, etc. than the Fragile Dzire that gets a dent with a small accident and costs more.

Seriously guys after doing shiny camera shots, having a good English and knowledge this is how you review the cars. The first thing which should be priority is safety and as far as safety is concern Japanese cars are tincan. In every other department Tata tigor was at 3rd position except a few. But for the rear seat space it was head-on with Suzuki. If we talk about money tagor is the cheapest also. My choice would be 1. Tata 2. Dezire 3. Is equally distributed bw accent/amio/ford.
Still now the reviewers haven't learnt that TIGOR is totally a different segment called Notchback, which can be placed between a Hatchback and a Compact Sedan, hence it would be less power and not that generous back seat space, but great value for money.. If U want, you could've compared Tata ZEST among the others which is the rival to all those cars here. I thought Zigwheels would never do this foolishness, or if done, they would mention that TIGOR is a different segment, but I was totally disappointed.

Ameo is 110 bhp and Dzire is 75 bhp.. and they say Dzire doesn't lose punch over 100 kmph.. paid review. Didnt speak about the german build quality and fit n finish. If you just lean on Dzire door it will bend and it is the best car .. lol

So much bitter in here. The Dzire truley deserves the rank one. It's good in terms of performance, comfort, and safety. Although it's kind of overpriced BUT you get all the safety features, the amazing performance and comfort.
S 555 that concern is with lower Trims of Xcent....I have SX(O) trim...no problem in any department at all....just drive Hyundai Xcent or Grand i10 just once...then you will surely impressed....So much easy & effortless to drive... just try it once...soft suspensions, best in segment interior,most silent cabin in the class, most feature rich car in the segment..easy to eye.. easy to use👍
I drove it and I didnt feel impressed at all, the ride was superb in city speeds but post 100 kmph it felt like its going to take off from ground and too much vertical moveemnt Then the steering, it has no feel, almost like a TOY, scares me when making fast lane changes etc at speeds excess of 100 kmph Rest all felt fine

I m planning to buy NEW Dzire ZXI Petrol MT. I have seen your review and liked Dzire a lot . I have gone through some other reviews following concerns come into my mind. 1- Plastic quality, Fit and finish is not up to the mark 2- It has vague steering I like cars with light steering feel for easy driving in low speed in city and gain some weight as speed increases on highway for confidence and good feedback. Is 2017 Dzire or Aspire handles in above said manner ? Please provide your expert guidance over above two concerns . Is these two concerns are serious and can be Deal breakers. My second short listed car is Ford Aspire Titanium MT how is Aspire in above two Concerns(Handling and plastic Quality Fit and Finnish) when compared with Dzire ?
missed karthikeya sinhee ...and reguarding the lag mentioned in ameo ...which diesel turbo doesn't have a lag, 250 nm from 1500 rpm and turbo kicking in at that range makes very minimal lag, anyway aspire has better accelaration figures than ameo ryr??

Why does no body talk about how kerb wait makes a difference in safety. Just saw a dzire getting totalled when hit from behind. Tata nexon which is in front barely has its fender dented. I personally dont like paper light cars even though that gives more fuel efficiency. I love to drive on my own and I would pick German built ameo over others any day if I had to pick. I used to have polo before most fun hatchback I had ever driven...
As expected the winner is again desire.... Desire is so much into the people's mind that even you show the rest of the cars in the competition by replacing there name with Maruti desire then all them could be the winners But from the above list the tigor is way better than desire in all ways in suspension setup,music system and more importantly in the pricing. The tigor is around 1.5 lakhs cheaper than the desire and way better than it.... But it is in the mind of the people's that desire is best but it's not.. It is over priced and that price doesn't deserve to that car.... Tigor is best in all terms
Dzire is no doubt a formidable package from Maruti. However, there are a couple of points to consider before making the purchase decision. Maruti, like Tata and Hyundai will sell the current dzire model to cab operators in India. Thats a big issue for me. You can see the current Dzire, the Dzire Tour before it. It affects the image of the car and the image of the brand in a big way. After buying it, you can't help but notice that every other car on the streets is a dzire or a xcent or a zest or a tigor..etc..Suzuki should change the models before selling it to the cab operators. My personal choice would definitely be the Ameo or the Amaze. Ameo is the best car when it comes to quality, performance, sheer build quality, brand value. Amaze is also a good car, just the diesel motor is a bit unrefined. Thanks

Zigwheels didn't tell about decreased weight of Maruti Dzire about 100 kg...so that's why Dzire gives more avarage ...but also gives least amount of safety when car gets hit....And most importantly Zigwheels didn't tell about servicing cost of these cars for 60k or 100k....Think about it Zigwheels & viewers...
Tigors engine is not that underpowered... I 've seen people attching CNG in honda city ... so stop complaining...Well I'd rather buy a tigor and save my 3 year petrol cost rather buying a Hyundai or a Suzuki ...

Karthik was really having high expectations from the comparo. U really know the difference between a Maruti and a VW. I mean I own a Ciaz as well as an Ameo. Surprisingly, the Ameo weighs more than even the Ciaz. U being such an expert, was not expecting a miss on the quality, fit n finish. Anyways, Suzuki owners will never know wat the Germans mades actually are.
nikhil Kadam hey Nikhil! I know this is hard to digest, but the Dzire is great. And again - we can't take weight to be the only measure of safety. If that were the case - what about F1 cars? Vineeth They are enthusiasts, they won't. But most people who just want a perfect family car which Wont make a hole in their pocket in terms of reliability, ownership and fuel efficiency and is also nice to drive around. The only reason I wong buy a Dzire is due to its lightweight. No other issues.

Vishal Kale No it isn't. We look at products not brands. What brand it is only comes after you have evaluated the product. The Tigor is their newest and best and yes just an incredible package. But when it comes to the engine the Tigor is very disappointing. Like we said in he verdict - the Tigor fits a very narrow use case. And if it had the 1.3 diesel Quadrajet - like in the Maruti - boy, it would have been a very different story. Thanks for watching.

I have used Tigor's Infotainment System and it is not laggy and in India even 4 people comfortably sit at the back of i10 or Alto. It's better that buying a Hyundai Verna, Honda City, etc. or Ecosport, Nexon, etc. than the Fragile Dzire that gets a dent with a small accident and costs more.

Seriously guys after doing shiny camera shots, having a good English and knowledge this is how you review the cars. The first thing which should be priority is safety and as far as safety is concern Japanese cars are tincan. In every other department Tata tigor was at 3rd position except a few. But for the rear seat space it was head-on with Suzuki. If we talk about money tagor is the cheapest also. My choice would be 1. Tata 2. Dezire 3. Is equally distributed bw accent/amio/ford.

Still now the reviewers haven't learnt that TIGOR is totally a different segment called Notchback, which can be placed between a Hatchback and a Compact Sedan, hence it would be less power and not that generous back seat space, but great value for money.. If U want, you could've compared Tata ZEST among the others which is the rival to all those cars here. I thought Zigwheels would never do this foolishness, or if done, they would mention that TIGOR is a different segment, but I was totally disappointed.

S 555 that concern is with lower Trims of Xcent....I have SX(O) trim...no problem in any department at all....just drive Hyundai Xcent or Grand i10 just once...then you will surely impressed....So much easy & effortless to drive... just try it once...soft suspensions, best in segment interior,most silent cabin in the class, most feature rich car in the segment..easy to eye.. easy to use👍
I drove it and I didnt feel impressed at all, the ride was superb in city speeds but post 100 kmph it felt like its going to take off from ground and too much vertical moveemnt

I m planning to buy NEW Dzire ZXI Petrol MT. I have seen your review and liked Dzire a lot . I have gone through some other reviews following concerns come into my mind.
1- Plastic quality, Fit and finish is not up to the mark
2- It has vague steering
I like cars with light steering feel for easy driving in low speed in city and gain some weight as speed increases on highway for confidence and good feedback.

missed karthikeya sinhee ...and reguarding the lag mentioned in ameo ...which diesel turbo doesn't have a lag, 250 nm from 1500 rpm and turbo kicking in at that range makes very minimal lag, anyway aspire has better accelaration figures than ameo ryr??

Why does no body talk about how kerb wait makes a difference in safety. Just saw a dzire getting totalled when hit from behind. Tata nexon which is in front barely has its fender dented. I personally dont like paper light cars even though that gives more fuel efficiency. I love to drive on my own and I would pick German built ameo over others any day if I had to pick. I used to have polo before most fun hatchback I had ever driven...

Desire is so much into the people's mind that even you show the rest of the cars in the competition by replacing there name with Maruti desire then all them could be the winners
But from the above list the tigor is way better than desire in all ways in suspension setup,music system and more importantly in the pricing.
The tigor is around 1.5 lakhs cheaper than the desire and way better than it....
But it is in the mind of the people's that desire is best but it's not..
It is over priced and that price doesn't deserve to that car....

Dzire is no doubt a formidable package from Maruti. However, there are a couple of points to consider before making the purchase decision. Maruti, like Tata and Hyundai will sell the current dzire model to cab operators in India. Thats a big issue for me. You can see the current Dzire, the Dzire Tour before it. It affects the image of the car and the image of the brand in a big way. After buying it, you can't help but notice that every other car on the streets is a dzire or a xcent or a zest or a tigor..etc..Suzuki should change the models before selling it to the cab operators. My personal choice would definitely be the Ameo or the Amaze. Ameo is the best car when it comes to quality, performance, sheer build quality, brand value. Amaze is also a good car, just the diesel motor is a bit unrefined. Thanks
