  • This video covers the assembly of the LDO Kirigami Bed. This is not a stock part for the Voron 0.2, but is a very common upgrade, so much so that it is even called out in the manual. The Kirigami bed offers a more rigid design that should mean less frequent bed leveling/adjusting. It can be done after a build, but I wanted to install it.
    Kirigami Bed Info:

    LDO Kirigami Extra Parts:
    github.com/MotorDynamicsLab/L...
    Additional Info: Christopher Mueller, the designer of the Kirigami bed is currently working on additional parts that will make the bed more compatible with the Voron 0.2. I am using a Voron 0.1 cable chain, since I did not upgrade my bottom deck. This is a minor difference/nuance but I thought it would be good to mention it. Your install (especially the cable chain parts) might be slightly different in the future.
    I bought my LDO Kirigami bed from West3d for about $25:
    west3d.com/products/ldo-kirig...
    My build was sponsored by Boxxy Prints. I did not use Boxxy's parts for this part of the build (since I made the decision after the parts were sent), but used them for everything else. Get your 3d printed parts here:
    boxxyprints.com/product/v0-1-...
    Printed part colors are from Fusion Filaments, Cosmic Ray Blue and Alpha Particle Orange ABS 1.5.
    fusionfilaments.com/collectio...
    Powder Coated Extrusions are from DLLPDF. These extrusions, at the time of the video are Mitsumi. They are powder coated and exactly 15mm x 15mm (the coating adds a small amount of thickness). I purchased a full v0.2 extrusion kit.

    This channel is criminally underrated. Thank you for all the instructional videos you post.

    Thanks you so much for this video! There were some details missing in the kirigami instructions I had plus my LDO kit didn;t have quite the right base plate cut outs for the version of kirigami that shipped. Your video helped me work it out :)

    I dont have a peice that looks like the chain anchor, ive got pieces called "stealth chain mount" but it looks very different. Is that an updated version?

      There are new parts for the kirigami, since this was released, so this video definitely needs to be redone. I may get a chance to do a follow up in the near future.

    I'm new to this universe and I like to know where I can get the 3d printed parts for the Kirigami bed. My Siboor 0.2 has yet to be put together. I'm in The Netherlands and of course willing to pay for the parts. I learned a lot from your videos Greg! Thank you very much!

      Take a look at the Voron PIF program. They may be able to help. You can also check in the Netherlands local channel in the Voron discord. Best of luck!

    I’m curious if you can make the kirigami bed work with the new v0.2 cable chain orientation, since the cutouts in my baseplate will only fit the cable chain the new way

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe so- I think it just barely works with the v0.1 parts but Christopher Mueller is also working on a few new parts to make it fit better.

    • @Docanza
      @Docanza ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does fit, just turn the chain around and it works

    • @Forge64
      @Forge64 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Docanza That's actually what I came here for. Trying to mount the drag chain to the Kirigami on 0.2 is reversed from 0.1 and won't fit. Unfortunately not included in this video.

    Anyone know where I can get the led kit for the Kirigami bed? I have the bed and everything, but no neopixel pcb.

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t really say for sure, but as I did a quick search it sounds like you need a “neopixel button” and the appropriate 3 pin cable. I am not sure if it’s possible to get both in a kit. The ldo Kirigami kit does include both, and is about $20. It may be cheaper just to buy another kit even if you already have the bed.

    I think the "Z" axis extrusion would be easier to align if you set your first one at 58mm and used the machinists square to get it perfectly square to the top and bottom extrusions. In order to have the best travel for the bed the "Z" axis rails need to be both parallel and also square.

    • @GregsMakerCorner
      @GregsMakerCorner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm that’s basically what I did but may not have shown it completely. There is also a rail alignment tool that helps.

      That is one of the LDO Kirigami extras. Here is the direct link, I'll add to the description as well. github.com/MotorDynamicsLab/LDOVoron0/blob/main/STLs/Kirigami/Kirigami_LDO_Breakout_Mount.stl
