- We wanted to show our viewers how to value a stock with our favorite company to evaluate...Tesla. At the timing of this video, the stock value for Tesla was 609, so we take a look at what to consider when doing your own stock valuation before buying.
Stocks in the stock market right now are going through the motions as the bear market is in full swing. We wanted to take a moment to look at Tesla and a few of its competitors to show how to look at a company.
Most people, as Seth demonstrates in the video, look at the value that the stock is at and consider the company to be doing well based on those numbers that are listed there. As Paul works through the numbers and shows you what to consider before buying, you'll notice that the numbers just aren't a good fit as an investment with where they are at. This is how you value a company.

I'm still learning how to use the stock analyzer tool but overall I really enjoy the software. Alot of value for a little amount of money.
man i hate when Seth says he's stupid or less intelligent than the rest of the guys. he may not have had the same resources or experience as the others but he has been humble enough to recognize his short comings and sat down to learn and improve. That's smart. I know this video is old but he still talks like this two years later. They may be doing this in order to have a relatable (?) figure for beginners, but that may not be the best route in my opinion. nevertheless, good video.

This popped up on my recommendation 2 years later. The saying is the stock Market can be insane longer then you can be sane. I agree it was overvalued at 100 billion all these Tesla idiots will keep buying it up no matter what the valuation is

I'm not disagreeing that Tesla was a buy or not because I personally don't invest in the automotive industry (don't know enough about it from an investing perspective), but as you know hindsight is always 20/20.

Well I think maybe this video didn't age too well for you guys. Tesla in March 2020 was $28 aprx per share. Now selling for $200/sh in 2023. Almost a 1000% increase in 3 years. Maybe it goes back to that $28 number , but maybe it doesn't. Still you were wrong on not buying it, at least taking a position in it since it is such a revolutionary company. Sometimes value investors miss out on great opportunities. I am not knocking your system, but it doesn't always work.
Watching this more than one year later... TSLA stock is still 600$, its definitely a buy (troll, I'm not gonna mention the stock split :)) )

12:52 I wonder when he will finally admit the value of Tesla is correct? Does GM, Ford, Toyota etc. all need to be either bankrupt or almost gone first? I would suggest people watch Rob Maurer of Tesla Daily to get an idea of what the numbers actually pan out to when you have someone who actually understands the business.
And Tesla keep Going ATH....I should have bought only one stock

Not aging well. TSLA was $23.5 per share (split adjusted) when this video was made. Today 8/11/23 Tesla sells for about $240 per share. That is almost 1000% return. Ouch!

I mean he's not really wrong, the stock is still insanely overpriced and when a stock market crash happens hype stocks like this will fall the fastest. Over long periods of time his method will win.

Or are the largest solar panel provider in the world? Are the most efficient insurance company in the world? Biggest car charging company in the world? But it's not a sure thing and at the current price it way over valued and if we have any dip in the whole market it will drop drastically.
