On my 3rd XB, 04, 05, and 06. 04 500,000 miles as a courier, 06 350,000 courier /retiree, now have the 05 got with 210,000 and now 230,000. All manuals , 1 new transmission, other wise maintained well. Loved 'em all. It's a Toyota, reliable and if you like quieky, simple and reliable, they are a can't miss.

My 2006 xB is clocking at 338K now and going strong. Uses a tiny bit of oil between changes, but nothing major. It's been super well cared for, though. Also, mine is a stick, which I really prefer. Also, I'm 6'3"!

Mine is catching up at 294k now lol... Mine uses a quart of oil every 700-800 miles though... I'm gonna attribute that to a terrible lack of maintenance before I got it at 262k ... Help from anyone please? I have a cosmetically beat up 05 XB… would it be cheaper to buy one that looks nice or to get a couple of small dents fixed, spoiler, door lock actuators, windows get stuck, new wheels, and a paint job on my current one? Ones in good condition (much nicer looking than mine) and a few more miles can be found around me in the $5k+ range.

    • @Midnightautorepair

When I picked mine up the passenger side had been ran down a guard rail at some point and was missing both sides of the ground effects and one of the rear flaps for the ground effects and the front bumper was all cracked to death.... It took me a couple of years to piece it back together...I used the Facebook groups for a lot of the little parts and pieces and a lot of good guidance with it... As long as yours runs good... It's worth fixing in my opinion... Depending on the work it needs... It's usually still cheaper than a car payment! Thanks for watching!

I finally found one and I’m installing it this weekend. There is no replacement! The manual was made for that engine and that engine only. You can’t put any other one in it. So with my wife’s having 334,000 on it, I would say the automatics are bullet proof almost. No issues whatsoever. Hoping this manual that I’m putting in lasts another 265k!!
