I don't understand how an owner can treat a guitar so badly. Luckily you have been able to bring it back to life. congratulations. greetings from Buenos Aires
It's not been treated badly😂 it's a fake restoration job.
I'm SO glad you rewired that mess. You have great skill!
I would have loved to see the burned parts preserved, it was so peculiar.
That is TRUE recyclying! You threw out the pick guard and the knobs and that is it. (For good reason.) Now that guitar is ready for another 50+ years of enjoyment. Nice job on the screws and all the metal parts. Amazing work!
This guitar looks like you messed it up and fixed it all on purpose
Wow I never thought a tortoise shell pickgaurd would look so cool partially melted like that!
I agree, it gave it so much character. The guitar was actually pretty cool all burnt up, with a matching melted neck. You can still see the fender logo fine I think it would've been cool to keep it all burnt up but obviously that's going to hurt the resale...I'm sure his intention was to sell it after restoring it. Just looks very basic after the restore. But on the bright side there's virtually no trace it was ever burned up. Personally, I would've kept it in its burned state. It tells a story and gives the guitar alot of character...
It’s tree burl, not tortoise shell
@@diddydoo5299 Right? Some pretty bad ass character. It’s really no different than an extremely relic’ed guitar but with very uncommon wear. I bet if Fender made a “Melted Strat” as a custom shop limited run they would sell out instantly for thousands a piece. 🤣
This is the second restoration video you’ve played Slint riffs! Well done
The original pickguard looked cooler imo. Great restoration job 👍👍
Great work on this guitar. You made it beautiful again and the wood was really nice. You did an awesome job on the restoration of this guitar. 🤩👍
It's really messed up that someone would abuse a US made 60th anniversary model like that.😵 Another outstanding restoration my friend!👍👍
Stratocaster is such a timelessly elegant beautiful machine. This Phenix rose from the ashes
Is very interesting than in 2006, the American Deluxe Strat bodies were made in Mexico. The little round holes in neck pocket and under pickguard are specific for the cnc in mexican Fender factory.
Amazing work and your attention to detail is bar none. I'm truly impressed. Keep on keeping on
Awesome restoration and I was pleasantly surprised to see you play some Birds in Row at the end.
Gorgeous restoration - so happy that you decided to go back to its aged natural finish look... such lovely wood grain - always feel bad to see it covered up with paint - especially after all of what this one went thru... Great job !
It looks like someone attacked it with a blowtorch and a dremel! I wish the "relic" guitar trend would end. I was surprised by how good it looked after you were finished! Incredible job re-finishing the guitar!
You did such an incredible job restoring this guitar, and then you went and played Slint and Birds In Row! Incredible!
He probably burnt it in the first place😂
So glad I found this channel, I can tell you love these guitar by the care and effort you put in to them. Beautiful work my friend.
And you played Slint! That was very unexpected. The guitar looks great.
You did an awesome job restoring this gem man. So glad you decided to give a more natural aged finish look.. Preserve all the beautiful wood grain.
One of your best restorations yet man keep up the awesome work!
Love the Slint riff! And an awesome renovation as well
Asyl, this is aweome. I especially appreciate how you left the headstock slightly scarred in memory of the guitars prior experience as a testing ground for a blowtorch. You are the man.
At first I was thinking fix the headstock. Then when it all came together it is perfect.
Wonderful restoration but even better choices of riffs to demonstrate it with! I thought riffs in other videos sounded Rodan-like and hearing slint on this one confirms to me that I enjoy your playing as much as your repair/restoration!
Wow! You worked some magic on this guitar. Great job
This might sound random, but I like your soldering. 🙂 I've seen so many bad solder joints.
My favorite video of yours so far. Nice job!!
love that we got some Slint riffs in the last two vids...
That melted pick guard was awesome, I would have kept it!
完成後の演奏コーナーも楽しみです、スリント、シェラック良いですね。
That was beautiful, great restoration job!
It hacks me off to no end that someone would let a USA made Fender Strat get that decrepit, but your restoration saved it! Hopefully the next person who owns it will appreciate it all the more.
Probably a teenager.
It's a 2006 American Deluxe.
Its very relaxing to watch you working. Pls add more videos, great job!
Great video. Such inspiring work, and I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thank you!
In 1921, Myra Brooks Welch wrote a poem called “The Touch of the Master’s Hand”. The poem tells the story of an old and battered violin that was to be auctioned but the highest bid the auctioneer could get for the instrument was a mere $3. That is, until a master violinist stepped forward and played the violin. It sounded so beautiful in his hands that it eventually sold in the auction for $3,000.
You are the master today. You salvaged a rare, 60th anniversary Stratocaster that had been abused, neglected, and set on fire. You turned a tragedy into a treasure. Congratulations!
fantastic detailed restoration job. beautiful guitar now
Hello Friend, what an amazing restoration ! This US Strat has regained its original beauty grace to your astounding skill ! Not to mention any tiny detail like the label beneath the pickguard. Any of your videos are great moments of delight, thank you for enjoying everyone, see you soon !
That Strat should be called “The Phoenix.” It arose from the ashes. Excellent work!
corny ahh niqqa
A wonderful restoration once again. Well done.
this is your best work by far. love your vids. they inspired me to bring back some of my old instruments back from the grave. :)
I'm not a Fender fan by any means. But the burn scars on this guitar before you started looked cool. But! You did make look brand new!! Standing Ovation to you. Keep up the great work!
I like these vids a lot. Super work, thank you. Makes me calm and relaxed🎉
It looks good!! You did a great job!
Am I the only one who finds this type of damage unreal??? I've been watching several videos from this channel lately and it seems more like it was done on purpose to make the video. You know what I mean... Great work anyway!!😉
Yeah it’s a bit contrived
Probably the guitar owner did this damage in order to make guitar "relic"
No you are not. For me it is on purpose.
on purpose
0:35 Note the trem block. 3 springs. Adjusted to dive bomb.
Tuners. Pickups. Not touched. And:
Input jack. PRISTINE. Again: PRISTINE (not even a scratch or gouge on an old "played" instrument)
This is a real one off of an absolute horrendous hack/relic with 1,000% shock value but still plug 'n' play.
Obviously a rich kid who anonymously let it go and moved on, perhaps gaining some maturity in the process.
The attacks on the plastic etc can't be interpreted as to why or wheretofore. As well as the finish melting which renders close to ruining the vaunted ash.
Again mere aesthetic but very very VERY angry.
I've watched this channel for a few years and fully disagree with ALL of your comments suggesting that he's salting the fields for a few bucks and/or drama.
Why?
His passion is real. His results are to be expected. Not perfect (ever) on the collectables but OVER THE TOP on the lawsuit copies where he has more "room".
Cheers!

53 yrs experience here, but just my humble opinion.

Edit: 5:09 I'm replying to your comments as I go.
I did not see this as I made first reply.
Note how the original owner(s) floated the position of the bottom strap point for some form of "hang" posit.
Phenomenal, irrefutable evidence of individual "customization". And very personal!
Let's proceed...
Great work! I really like that you left the marks on the headstock, Adds character and history.
Very neat! The most satisfying so far. Thank you!
One of my favorite Strat color combos. Well done.
I liked the immediate slint intro
An absolutely stunning transformation. First class job here in bringing that guitar back to being beautiful. Great work.
What a gorgeous refurb! But the Slint at the end is the real treat.
Not to bad of fire damage, I think it would have looks sweet with the burn damage made into like a lava flow. Nice job on it also
wow it turned out nice i like how the burnt part scraps right off another guitar id be happy to own
❤❤❤ You're a genius! Love your work !!
Wow! Amazing work!
I do not understand why anyone would choose to abuse a classic Strat like this. Your restoration is beautiful. We’ll done!
It's not a classic its an ash lite from 2006 ish
Maybe he was playing some Jimi Hendrix
funny. I don't understand why anyone would want to restore a testament to rock and roll like a burnt guitar !!!
@@danrleiluiz1997 someone being too intense while cosplaying jimi hendrix
So they can "restore" it for youtube views.
Truly amazing work mate.
Best one of yours I've seen to date! It came out so beautiful. Fant
Loved it when you started playing Botch lol. Great video!!
Slint and Shellac at the end... cherry on top. Great work!
Great job 👍 looks and sounds sweet.
That's some nice clean work, dude.

素晴らしい👏👏👏👏👏
Bellissimo lavoro. Bravissimo!
Amazing job. Beautiful guitar.
Heartening to see a fender strat restored like that, immaculate work.
Nice to see an actual US Fender and not a cheap foreign knock-off.
Wow this looks a lot better than my Squier Strat. It might need a bit of love.
Wow, great work! So satisfying to watch too. Subscribed!
Excellent restoration ,looks superb
Beautiful work. Bravo.
Incredible work!
Outstanding restoration of a badly damaged strat. That ole gal deserved to be treated with the respect to gave her.
breadcrumb taaaaaaaail, beautiful restoration, many useful tips
I have a crack in my guitar. I want to do this. Thanks for the inspiration.
Beautiful and thanks for sharing this.
From Jimi Hendrix back to new! Well done!
What a great job in this guitar, congrats!!!!!
I mean, great job! Nice to whatch you work. But as it was, burnt, it was just beautiful!!! I am gonna buy a cheap one and try to make it burnt!
Some might gasp in horror at this removal of "extreme relic'ing." Great work, and great restoration!
Я ахнул
That's not extreme relicing-it's dumbassery 😂
Fantastic job!
Breadcrumb Trail, by Slint...was NOT expecting that. Right on!
sounds agresive and sharp
You are a magician... I suppose that in order to refinish a guitar like this we need top $$$ ... Nice work
Wow... That poor strat truly needed that! Beautiful work!
Love that you decided NOT to paint it…that stain and lacquer finish really makes that alder grain pop. Wonderful job, as usual.
Some of your better work! Nice job.
beautiful job
38:41 “Prayer to God” nice!
To be fair it looks cool as is.
本当に素晴らしい。
ストラトが喜んでる。。

The Skint demo at the end 😍
Honestly the char and burns looked really sick
I agree, especially on the pickguard. Wish he used the old one.
