I was in high school when this song came out and "Lose Yourself" was a MASSIVE hit. This was Eminem at the peak of his powers and popularity. Amazing song. I still get chills listening to it. The lyrics switches from the point of view of his movie character and his personal life. The movie "8 Mile" was AIGHT, but the battle rap scenes are elite! Worth a (re)watch.
@@Lee4364 wrong again he’s lost street battles so how is that winning against everyone that’s taking aim at him? Em doesn’t diss top rappers unless he knows he can win and that’s the truth.
I love this movie. Now everytime i see a reaction video to his song "Till I Collapse" I swear the person says that they will add it to their gym playlist. It goes so hard and you'll definitely appreciate it
Ultimate hip-hop fist-pumper. Also, I loved that Eminem was totally frank about the fact that "8 Mile"--- movie/soundtrack--- was his answer to "Purple Rain."
Agreed!! Ems popular stuff was popular in 2002 in my school when I was 12, never liked the swearing. Later as a teen that song was the first I ever loved of his, how could you not. The rhyme scheme and flow on top of the lyrics meaning is just top class. Basically was the gateway song to me appreciating his other music later in life to get to Till I Collapse and love it.
If you're into life changing experiences, Kasey Chambers did a cover of Lose Yourself that is mind Blowing. It is so good that Eminem gave her approval to upload it to Spotify. Definitely the best cover of this song ever!
This is everyone’s top number one motivation song. It’s songs like this and sing for the moment and not afraid as to why em has such a crazy following, also with his more humorous songs too. He was real vulnerable with his fans from early on that’s why so many different races rate him highly as a top all time rapper and artist.
I love how you actually listen to the lyrics and pay attention to what the artist are actually saying. Also I'm glad you listen to the older hip hop songs that I grew up too.
Nice this is off the iconic movie 8 Mile. I used to attend The Shelter, and Clutch Cargo's back in the 90s and early 2000. A lot of the movie is fairly accurate to his early days. The battles were legendary. There was even a battle between Kid Rock and Eminem way back in the day. Also these battles set the stage for the legendary beef between Eminem and Insane Clown Posse when Eminem posted on a flyer that ICP were special guest emcee's Check out the Eminem diss song Slim Anus by ICP
His mom just recently passed a few days ago. I believe him and his mom were cool now, years ago he stopped performing songs where he was dissing his mom
Great Movie and song. He won an Oscar for this song. He has 15 Grammys and 15 VMAs. The awards are endless. And also inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2022. The movie is not parts of his barely life. Accept the rap battle parts and the horrible mother part and being very very poor. Yes he literally just wrote this in his trailer while on set filming. He was home watching cartoons and did not go to this one when he won the Oscar. But he came back a couple years ago and performed it and received a standing ovation
This song, and "Till I Collapse" featuring Nate Dogg are two of his most powerful and motivational songs. That one is definitely worth a listen and right up there with Lose Yourself
he's on the Mt Rushmore of Hip Hop. Him, Tupac, Biggie and you can choose the 4th. he's also never lost against anyone who tried to take a shot at the king and he doesnt need more than one song to absolutely destroy someone.
Another great reaction to this iconic song! To me this is Eminem at his greatest. As an aside; PLEASE watch Kasey Chambers cover this GREAT song! Her cover is indescribable, and further show how great this song is. Again, well done.
This is from his autobiographical movie "8 mile" you should check out the final rap battles, he does some epic work in there, and apparently he wrote everybody's raps, not just his. For an epic freestyle rap, check out Li'l Dicky on Sway's show. Dude has multi-layed meaning and is hilarious! Also, check out some old school rappers like Eric B. and Rakim, really interesting messages in their songs, not just talking about girls and money.
2pac wrote his down, but it was right in the moment. He was documenting his life story in real time. He wrote and laid a whole song down in less than 30 minutes .his lyrics sheets are a part of his hall of fame. U can actually see his notes
When Terrance Crawford walked out into the ring with Eminem rapping made me feel like I could’ve beat Errol myself this song have you feeling like I can accomplish anything
His momma just died & he’s the greatest rapper ever (my personal opinion) if you want to react to more em I know all his albums The Eminem Show, Encore,MTBMB(Music To Be Murdered By),MMLP(Marshall Mathers LP),MMLP2(the 2nd Marshall Mathers LP),Kamikaze, Revival, Relapsed,Curtain Call,Recovery, The Slim Shady LP & TDOSS(The Death Of Slim Shady)he also has a mixtape (debut) album called Infinite if you want to check that out too , so yeah hope you enjoy Mia I love you ❤️
"Without Me" reaction where? Both songs started the chain of me getting into Eminem. "Lose Yourself" goes hard for Chest and Cardio. 😆 Mia's face shows she doesn't like silly Eminem. Lol. It's an acquired tastes but everyone's so serious these days I LOVE it now.
You talk about him being humble, I remember many years ago in an interview, after he had sold millions and millions of albums, he called his manager to ask if he could afford to buy a Rolex. He said they made fun of him for it. 😆 But he really had no idea at that point.
Iconic song ever by Eminem love the video Mia stay motivated dream big 1 mill on the way I’m from Flint Michigan there’s a song Eminem wrote called headlights where he forgives his mom Eminem’s mom passed away Tuesday from lung cancer
you NEED to watch "Harry Mack" and his Omegle bars..he took freestyling into the stratosphere. His freestyles are way better than most peoples writtens haha..i think youd love it
You should check out the song "rock bottom" and yes the 8 mile soundtrack has some eminem bangers on it. Run Rabbit Run is my fave off the soundtrack. All his songs have little tid-bits of his life sprinkled into them.
He had a hard relationship with his mom. He did talk smack about her in a number of his songs the worst being "Cleanin out my closet" which he later regretted. She sued him. I believe they somewhat reconciled in later years and she actually passed away a day or two ago. RIP Debbie Mathers
You should react to Till I collapse or When I am gone or Godzilla or Toy Soldier, 4 Great Em songs that showcase amazing lyricism, incredible rapping and outstanding storytelling
There is no way you’ve never heard this song before! I don’t care if you lived under a rock all of your life….everyone has heard this song! It’s os iconic! I know monks living in solitude in the Himalayas that have heard this! 🤨
So Eminem speaks alot in his early songs about his ex wife (Kim) being a druggie who cheated on him and he hated, but he adopted both her druggie brothers daughter, and the daughter from her cheating. 👀 He speaks in earlier songs about how much he hates his mom (Debbie) because she did things including munchhousins syndrome to him- Cleaning out my closet is a great slower song!- but he made amends with his mom so he no longer performs it for a long time now. Mockingbird and When I'm Gone both about his daughter are amazing slow songs by him the first I ever loved of his. Considering where he came from his most notable achievement is his daughter grew up with everything she needed but not spoilt, out of the limelight. She grew to be an amazingly balanced eloquent woman who went to university on a scholarship and just married an apparently good upstanding guy. She recently went to LA to support her father on a lifetime achievement award and described it as a "culture shock" all the glam and paparazzi. As he's so recognisable around the world and has had millions from when she was young that means he was a great father.
From what i've seen, Busta Rhymes is a magician when it comes to freestyle-rap.. I'm sure there are better ones but he is one of them for sure. Em too I'm sure. Anyway, I recommed Busta Rhymes ft. Eminem - Calm Down (Official Lyric Video) This is some crazy shiit!!
Sucker for pain huh? Just cause I noticed you're wearing those headphones again and not the airpods lol. But uh yeah. Oh Hell Yeah. One of the all time greats in inspirational songs. Even people who didn't know Eminem, or people who don't listen to hip hop love Eminem and this song. This is one that made a lot of new Fans. Definitely gets you movin'. Love the reaction.ove the video. Love your shirt. Keep 'em Comin' ❤
Mia there is a classic song that you must hear it is called take on me by A-ha a classic song even some college bands do the instrumental in some sporting events i highly highly recommend 😁👍
If you wanna have your mind blown and see someone rapping off the top of his head you should watch Harry Mack. No one is close to him free styling. Everyone that sees him for the first time on his Omegle bars have their mind blown. Dudes brain works so fast it’s like a computer.
This is one of the most iconic songs of all time.
Good song but of all time lol really?
@@blade5883 In the 500 best songs of all time I would think.
@@blade5883got Oscar 👀
The first rap song to ever win an Oscar. EVER! Definitely says something.
@@blade5883 100% everyone knows this song
The 8 mile soundtrack is really good.
RIP Eminem's mum Debbie. "Cleaning Out My Closest" was a popular single dissing her. It's so personal that he no longer performs it.
Eminem is the first hip hop artist to win an academy award for this song
He made “this song” so he should win the award 😜
Lol fans negro rapiest rapper@@Primal391

I second this, Till I Collapse is one of my favorite songs and has picked me up from the abyss too many times to count.
Everytime I listen to pac, big, nas, eminem I enjoy it because these 4 are the greatest of all time.
Ultimate hip-hop fist-pumper.
Also, I loved that Eminem was totally frank about the fact that "8 Mile"--- movie/soundtrack--- was his answer to "Purple Rain."
Eminem is an amazing artist. This song actually won him an academy award. My favorite is "the way I am". By far my favorite lyricist.
You gotta do When I'm Gone by Eminem. Very powerful song, amazing storytelling especially the 3rd verse
