After a bad car accident, in 2005, resulting in back and neck issues led me to over time reach 300 pounds. I’m 6’1 so it didn’t look terrible, at the time. In 2019 all of my kids were together with me and I looked at them as young adults and knew I had to be around for them and also not be a burden because I’m unhealthy and overweight. Wenesday February 12, 2019 was the last day I was 300 pounds. Started eating Whole Foods and strength training. I’m now 6’1 , 195 pounds about to turn 49 on July 2nd 2023 and I’m in better shape now than I was in my 20’s. And I was very athletic in my 20’s.
If you were very athletic in your twenties, I don't at all believe that you are in better shape at 49. Do you know why? Because you will never be 20 again. I hear this from some of my military friends and I cringe, and realize it's lying to yourself. Your story is great just leave out the better shape than in my 20's excuse.

As much as I love my parents to pieces and the many opportunities they have given me, I can relate to this as they both are obese. Luckily my sister and I took up the gym a couple years ago and we are both very strong mentally and physically, however I found that it can be very easy for people to mirror their parent’s actions because of the fatty foods they stock the fridge and pantries with. Although we are worried for our parent’s health, my sister and I have taken up shopping and started cooking healthy and tasty foods for the family which has lead both of our parents to lose a pretty good amount of weight.
Thank you Bedros,,, Im not a not a member, or at least not yet but I love your message. I'm a 65 year old veteran, still rocking and rolling try to PT every day and stay motivated and hopefully be an example for someone.
I am a dadbod, ive been inspired by your awesone videos for a while. Been working out every morning before the rest of the family wakes up and lost 15kg so far. now my son (6) started to wake up and workout with me, without me asking. Youre a 100% correct when you say kids follow the actions and not the words. Im very thankful for your words of information and inspiration keep up the good work.
I've been going to the gym every day for 3 months now and the transformation is really starting to show. Anyone just starting, I'm here to tell you that you need to keep it up. I know you feel sore and horrible but I assure you after about a month, that soreness goes away. Your body adapts and you don't feel nearly as sore the next day. I urge you to just stick it out and lift weight for a month. You won't recognize yourself.

Motivation is fleeting, it's discipline that is needed consistently. We don't always feel like doing better but we know we have to, and pretty soon after seeing the benifits it' gives us a sense of purpose and fulfillment, and motivation to keep going, build the momentum brother, get the momentum moving and you'll see how you can transform yourself. It's hard getting over old habits but the benifits are tremendous
You don't need hype, you need discipline. If you don't make that mental shift, you're going to fail. Force yourself to go out in public shirtless 2x a week. That'll give you all the "motivation" you need.
B…this episode hit hard af. Back in March I reached out to you for some advice with my fitness journey. That journey wasn’t just for me, it wasn’t just for my wife…it was for my kids. I lost sight not only of my own health and fitness, but I lost sight of the fact that those three little sets of eyes were watching how I lived my life and taking note of choices I was making. As of this morning, I’m down 62 pounds and it has completely changed my family’s life. It motivated my wife to want to be healthier and make smarter choices and inspired my kids to want to be baby bad asses too. No more dad bod. More energy than I’ve had in years and an overall excitement about waking up everyday and finding new and fun ways to get after it. Thank you for reinforcing how important it is to be physically AND mentally disciplined/fit. 🦅👊🏻
I hear you loud and clear Bedros! I'm 54 and although I workout, I don't do nearly enough. I commit to making changes before it's too late. Thanks for the harsh but necessary reminder.
Your voice on this is truly a fresh breath of air. I was telling a friend the other day men shouldn’t be fat. By the time they roll over I’m kidnapped, sexual assaulted, and killed. Everyone wants comfortable lives and it has proven to destroy us. Focus on you and the kind of man you are to the women in your life and if you have children etc. I lost respect for a male I was involved with because I saw myself becoming a mom and he tells me I don’t know about much and doesn’t produce much but the same song of uncertainty, misery, and conformity. I’m hard on myself and if I feel more masculine than you I’m out.
Bedros, thanks for the words of wisdom. Keeps that fire burning. 43 years old, staying focused/motivated so that Dad body never becomes a reality and to be an example for my two young boys.

Another great episode! Last year this week was my wake up call. At 54 years old, my weight and back issues were so bad that I could not unload the luggage from my car. Enough was enough. I decided to go to the gym for the next 100 days, at 4:15AM. The only competition at 4:15AM is sleep, and after two weeks I did not need an alarm. One year later. I lost 30 pounds, reshaped every single part of my body (my feet are smaller), and reversed my Type-2 diabetes. I made it to the gym 202 days in a row. Now I am back to day 50 in a row. Heed the warnings Bedros outlines. Every year after 40 it gets harder to reverse/create a healthy body. But I must disagree with the body being the seat of disease. It is always the mind. The mind lets the brain eat the bad food, blow off exercise, drink alcohol, smoke, etc. The body is evidence of the suffering.
Amen and amen! I walked by the Travis Matthew store this weekend and saw what I thought was a pride month bs manikin, a pregnant man. I was wrong. It was just as bad. A dad bod manikin for all the soft middle class, broken men who have just given up. Keep preaching.
Wow, Bedros, your ability to choose great words and communicate in a way that profoundly affects people is truly remarkable. This particular message of yours holds immense value and quality, and it resonated with me deeply. It's time for me to act upon it. Thank you for your tremendous efforts and contribution.
Best podcast ever, spewing truth. This dude is my new hero (a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities). Thank you Bedros.
Bedros thanks for the consistent advice and support! Transforming that Dad bod into a Father figure takes discipline and constant action. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
Definitely appreciate you Bedros! I subscribed and started watching your channel after watching an interview with Wes Watson where he mentioned your name. Your content is exactly what I've needed to hear to continue to evolve into the 2.0 version of myself. I'm a college graduate and former school teacher that ended up divorced, bankrupt and serving time in federal prison for conspiracy to commit bank robbery. Since my release from prison in 2016, I've worked tirelessly to get my life back on track and to help, inspire and educate others who have experienced similar challenges how to do the same. You are inspiring me bro and I thank you for your commitment to doing what you have been called to do!
Bedros I just discovered you. This video was perfect and at just the right time. I can't wait to go back and listen to the rest of videos. With my headphones on at the gym of course. Thank you.
I turned 43 tomorrow and I am a leadership coach as well as a soccer entrepreneur. I looked at myself before my 40th birthday and didn't like what I saw. I read the book by David Goggins titled Can't Hurt Me and it changed my life forever. 174 pounds and 5.8 tall. I love my body and my life.
I have broken my spine in two separate occasions and let myself become content with having a dad bod. I’m 37 weigh 205 at 5,10 and for a month and a half I have put myself through a tough training regime for mental, physical, and emotional growth. I appreciate the hard cold honesty that we all need to hear! I am going to make it to the program next year it’s a goal that has been set.
I have been listening to you for a year now, i was not in the best shap but i keep making excuses on why i cant get the the gym each day. I have 3 kids all do sports 2 of them are doing jujitsu 1 plays select soccer and my oldest dose select softball. Dont get home till 830 each night taking my kids to sports. Now i still do that but my son and i take ice baths each night at 42 degrees best sleep after that and i am up at 430 each morning to hit the gym at 530 I am also starting my own company his vedios have changed how i look at life and i feel so much stronger And with all this my wife had cancer so she couldn't help Thanks man you have changed my life and started to be a role model for my kids
Bruh, this video is life changing for me. I actually got back in the gym after an 8 year break. I got comfortable in my life and relationships. I lost myself. The insecure women seeking the broken wing guy is pretty accurate. The reason this video hit hard is the fact I started to feel selfish for looking very fit and feeling awesome. Dating a woman who is a the CEO of a tech firm. She is extremely confident and independent. So are her girlfriends. They all prefer the fit bod. Thank you again for this video.
Damn Bedros, your speaking fire to me! Im new to tour podcast, like a little over a week new. You have grabbed my attention. I agree with everything you have said and I just can't believe I have been one of these men who has sucked life out of myself. I always said it was my circumstances, but that's bullshit. It has always been my fault and your accountability has seriously opened my eyes. I have gone through years of therapy and those people have only been able to help me so much. I only recently realized that I never did any of the work on myself until literally a few days ago. It's hard to get past the psychology of trauma and how we screw ourselves up by believing we have been defeated. What a f@#$ing lie! Thanks for your sharing your journey with all of us and helping men to understand why they need to be strong in all areas of life. Nobody has ever shared anything like this to me and I was too defeated to think anything could ever change. More lies from myself. I'm 48 also and just learning how to break free from the incarceration I have created for myself. A little late in life for me, but I can still accomplish being a top 1% man and I have begun that journey, thanks to you.
Hey Bedros! I watched this video when I woke up this morning and later you were on my flight to Arizona. Thank you for shaking my hand and being an inspiration, love the content sir, keep up the great work!
I’m glad that I made it a priority to get a gym membership at the age of 17. My dad was always a bit overweight but I always knew that I would make my health and fitness a priority. 8 years later and it is still a priority and a lifestyle. At this point, it’s hard for me to skip a few days at the gym because it has given me so many results and confidence. I hope that my future kids will follow my footsteps and be healthy because of all of the benefits, and I will try my damn best to make it a priority for them by setting an example.
I don’t have any excuses. I have tried to wake up early to work out, and it’s tough so I don’t do it. I’m working on my eating habits so I’m making progress even if I’m not lifting. Thanks for the gut check. I love your show.
Thanks for having the guts to be honest. I felt so uncomfortable when I heard that study! It is rubbish! No one is attracted to the "dad bod". However, it will make another out of shape person feel better. BK, Keeping it REAL!
I say this with the highest respect, Bedros you are the absolute best!!!! But you also maybe the most comedic timing inspirational speaker ever!!!! Please no matter what as Tom Bilyeu always ends his podcast and programs, stay legendary!!!!
I work from Monday to Saturday . I wake up at 5:30 make breakfast and drive to work 1 hour 30 minutes to work . From 7 to 5 . In construction. Them drive back to home . I arrive at 7 pm . It's very hard to work and exercise . I do drywall so I lift heavy things all day .
I'm in the concrete world lifting like yourself. For us, I think it's all about stretching. I believe his talking about office workers or a type of job where your not moving much. I also think you need time for yourself, even if it's a walk for 10mins.
Thanks Bedros, excellent, scathing. I always had a physical lifestyle, manic temperament. For me the issue is compulsive overeating. I'm an alcoholic, 24 years off booze. BUT. I have done w/food what i used to do with booze. A year ago i had an enlarged spleen. While a ruptured spleen is an emergency, my condition is self healing through diet change. Result: i am in perpetual savage emotional withdrawal. Almost 70, whoa, the demons still kickin' my butt. I really appreciate your energy & message
Listen loud and clear, doing interstate truck driving in Australia never home till weekends so i workout much as i can, eat clean if i can on the road avoid the fatty foods much as i can, just tryna stay healthy, i know im not gonna have a fit body by im doing what i can with limit resources due to work but i will never obese i refuse to be that or go down that path, youre like the voice i need every week and im grateful to discover you months ago
Bedros you’re absolutely right. I’ve been going to the gym consistently since March 2023 and by July I was amazed at the results and how much more I was liking myself. Keep up the great work 👍🏾
🎉 year ago I dropped 70+ lbs I maintain healthy habits but more so the bad ones I’m here to tell you I will do it again and no matter how many times I fall off… you set this fire everytime.. thank you
Good message and spot on. I am 19% body fat, but low muscle. The last 6 weeks I have been working hard to build strength, gain muscle. It is a responsibility to myself, my family, and others. (Edited for typos)
When you think about family I think it really helps out everything into perspective because it takes out the question of why and it gives the very real answer, reality.
Keep at it man, and try to eat around 2500-3000 calories a day to maintain the bodyfat while gaining muscle. I started a while ago in the same position as you, and it has completely changed my life for the better. I’d also strongly recommend going earlier in the morning as I often am able to push more weight. (this is most likely placebo) Also try doing cold showers or plunges for 5 minutes a day, it really helps with soreness.
The note that you said 6 weeks makes it seem like you see "effort" as a time duration....when you should be looking at a life long sustainable diet/workout plan and adapt it into your lifestyle.
@smokingcrab2290 it's never too late to drop the weight brother! Start today! I was young and naive, long story short I got left for a dude who wasn't fat. Sucked at the time but thats what had to happen for me to get my shit together
i love that you made this, ive been working on changing my dad bod into a "god bod" as i call it(the name i came up with is mainly cause of religious outlook reasons) but i remember looking in the mirror at the gym the first day and thinking, "this body is a disgrace to me, my daughter, my fiance, and god, i must change it to the marble chiseled glory i deserve" im tired of being tired, im tired of being fat, im tired of being ashamed of my body, and now i must change it.
This is exactly why I started walking and going to the gym at least 5 days a week. I was tired of being short of breath taking a 💩. Tired of my man boobs and gut. I hated what I saw in the mirror. Deep down I wanted change. That change is in progress. Lost about 20lbs over the last 3 months. And I can see the gains from the gym. Just start and keep going. Don't give up. ✊
I work in medicine. I’ve seen patients suffer immensely after 40 due to their habits in their late 20’s and 30’s. Start now and never stop. Maintaining is always easier than catching up!!!!!! Horror story: one guy had neglected his diabetes medication and didn’t follow any diet. His right foot had necrosis which required amputation. I had to break the news to him and he burst into tears and I almost did too.
YOU REALLY BROUGHT IT HOME ON THIS ONE 💪 Totally agree with this. I was able to get rid of my dad bod in the last few years. Not only that.... I was able to stay fit and not get fat again by increasing my self-discipline 💪
Im seeing huge changes in my life and a lot of people see it and don't treat me like they use to and i don't care. I do need a better income than my job but other than that i feel really good about my self. thanks for the advice and keep teaching. I cant wait to meet you in my 2.0 version of myself and thank you personally.
Well said my man. Thanks immensely for the great material and source of inspiration you create and keeping it up for a lot regardless of where they are in life. I have followed most of your advice, especially working out, and held the discipline for the longest while. Yet when I hear this, do realize that got a long way left to perfection if anything. Get motivated to do more and not fall back on becoming complacent and I am sure many men see it the same way....
Bedros, Triglycerides are the real problem, Not cholesterol. Dad bod is caused by a high carb, high sugar diet. I’m a 54 year old male and watch you daily. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration.
Thank you so much for not sugar coating what I need to hear to get my ass moving. You inspired me to do more, my day starts at 3am for online school and with 2 jobs. I lost 20 lbs in a month by quitting the booze and smoking. I need to turn up the heat even more and man up. Thank you!
Sadly this is what my father is going through right now. He never took care of his health or body and now he is diabetic. I am the only live with him, my siblings live far and don’t have good relationship with him, I am constantly worried about him and reminding him of his medication, and have to put my goals to the side sometimes to make sure he is fine. His situation pushes me to not drink alcohol at all, workout 5 times a week, take care of my mental health, and eat well. As much as I love him I don’t want to end up like him in 20-30 years from now
Love your content and your voice man 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 i was a dadbod 2 years ago and now I'm more fit and healthy than my teenage years 🔥😎💪🏻 and i can feel the respect that i absorb everyday from literally everyone
You make complete sense I am 44 and will soon be 45 in October. I hate my dad bod and your right I am an image of my dad. I want a change and I will push my self harder this year to be healthy and to be a good roll model for my boys. I love your content and I wish I can afford to hire you as a mentor because I no you would be the dad I need to be. Much love brother
Spot on bro, I’m trying to encourage all my bros to become that guy again. I’ve lost 35 pounds since 2021 back to being that dog I was in College. I desire to see Men be that A type Man we all should be.
Yup. I am 38 years old. Lost 16kg in past half year. After breakup, after two hard years I realised that being overweight made me sick. I mean - low testosterone, bad horonal balance overall, everyday fatigue, out of shape. One of the reasons why my ex left me was that I lacked that masculine energy I had back when we met and all 6 years through our relationship. When now I am back in shape - I feel like all that brain fog disappeared and I am back again a man. During that few years I developed fatty liver and pre-diabetic state which I fight now with very healthy eating habits. Don't go that way folks. And unfortunately all of that been done during "hustling". Focus on your health. Always
Thank you Bedros I was literally about to go get some fried chicken for lunch but then you uploaded this and it helped me change my mind I’m going with salad today
I needed this after a accident last year whixh oeft my spine broke in a dozen places with 83 titanium bolts and screws i have gained weight quickly its never truly impossible regarldess to stay in good shape 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Bedros mate you've change my mindset for good, will listen to every video that comes out. first thing on the GSD list is 'listen to bedros' time to get the 4 F's nailed
Gonna be 39 next month. First baby on the way In January. I might be older than most of the other dads but I want them coming up and asking me how to get fit
That’s what motivated me to get started. At 31 I had my first kid, I didn’t him looking up to a fat loser. I was 220 lbs then, I’m 190 now and in the best shape of my life at 33. A man in shape automatically demands respect in any situation. Cut all all of my sugar vices and man I feel good and in control of my life. Keep up the good work mang !

Hey Mr. Keuilian , im glad to be here ! Your words are Gold !
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wes is a good dude and a homie
Bedros I just discovered you. This video was perfect and at just the right time. I can't wait to go back and listen to the rest of videos. With my headphones on at the gym of course.
Thank you.
Welcome aboard!
Health is wealth . Feel good , look good ! It’s a win win 😉
Agreed!
This is a masterpiece. The energy of every "FUCK" you said hit me hard. I hope it also hits those with dad bods.
Now i still do that but my son and i take ice baths each night at 42 degrees best sleep after that and i am up at 430 each morning to hit the gym at 530
I am also starting my own company his vedios have changed how i look at life and i feel so much stronger
And with all this my wife had cancer so she couldn't help
Thanks man you have changed my life and started to be a role model for my kids
Bedros: I just want to thank you for what you do. You have literally changed my life for the better.
43 and I’m all about this bro for the 1st time in 20 years. Love it bro.
Man just found your show! Bad A advice I love it! Get after it!
I’ve been listening to this man on this channel for a while now and all I can say is he spits facts.
I don’t have any excuses. I have tried to wake up early to work out, and it’s tough so I don’t do it. I’m working on my eating habits so I’m making progress even if I’m not lifting.
Thanks for the gut check. I love your show.
Sharp. Compelling. Inspirational. Real. Top-level work here.
Loved every second of the video man appreciate it very much
Thanks for having the guts to be honest. I felt so uncomfortable when I heard that study! It is rubbish! No one is attracted to the "dad bod". However, it will make another out of shape person feel better. BK, Keeping it REAL!
Keep preaching brotha!!! So many men need this message. I was once that weak dad bod guy. No more i say!!!
I say this with the highest respect, Bedros you are the absolute best!!!! But you also maybe the most comedic timing inspirational speaker ever!!!! Please no matter what as Tom Bilyeu always ends his podcast and programs, stay legendary!!!!
Bedros Speaking the truth! We need more of this in America!
This episode is super important, it's a shame most who need to hear it don't have the ability to hear the message without acting out emotionally
Well said!
This video inspired me to increase the intensity of my workout today
Good man!
Bedros you’re absolutely right. I’ve been going to the gym consistently since March 2023 and by July I was amazed at the results and how much more I was liking myself. Keep up the great work 👍🏾
🎉 year ago I dropped 70+ lbs I maintain healthy habits but more so the bad ones I’m here to tell you I will do it again and no matter how many times I fall off… you set this fire everytime.. thank you
This is the first episode I’ve ever seen, thanks for this episode!
Sir I'm glad i found you . your advice is really special to me
Keep up the good work sir
This should be played in every household daily.
My ex wife encouraged me to gain weight, aka get fat. She said I looked better with weight on me. Don't ever fall for this one fellas!!
Biggest scam insecure women play on men
Yep. They all do that.
She’s saying that just so you won’t set a standard…..
My wife said this to me too and I resent her for it. And I know she only said it because she's overweight
Keep that shit up 🙏🙏🙏
this video should be watched all around the world
I work in medicine.
Can we get a video on a breakdown of what you fuel your body with everyday including meals exercise training ? That would be great
Coming up!
@@BedrosKeuilian appreciate it 🫡 you content continues to push people to be their best version of their self
What a great moving episode, big salute 🫡
YOU REALLY BROUGHT IT HOME ON THIS ONE 💪
Totally agree with this.
Amazing episode, Bedros. All American men need to listen to this episode.
Love it Bedros,
In the gym now watching this. Never been overweight (always been in pretty good shape) but this just got my mind ready to push harder.
Good man! Being the example
Im so proud of my daughter she used to make fun of me for working out now shes hooked on it love it
This was absolutely 🔥🔥 every man in America needs to watch this .
In the red? Did you mean out of the red? Great video and information
Bedros,
Triglycerides are the real problem,
Not cholesterol.
Dad bod is caused by a high carb, high sugar diet.
I’m a 54 year old male and watch you daily.
Thanks for the motivation and inspiration.
Enough said , support the real talk like this ✅
Chingon!! as always uncle Bedros 💪
brother you are 100% on point. love it!!
Thank you so much for not sugar coating what I need to hear to get my ass moving. You inspired me to do more, my day starts at 3am for online school and with 2 jobs. I lost 20 lbs in a month by quitting the booze and smoking. I need to turn up the heat even more and man up. Thank you!
Bedros always dropping gems. Thank you sir.
Bedros you not only inspire America, but also there's is a small village somewhere in Africa in Kenya. Thank you so much
I am getting a gym membership because of you Bedros!
Good man!
My man!!! You said it perfectly!!! Thank you for big motivation! 🤙🏽
Bedros K, making men strong again!!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽👊🏽🙌🏽
Hell yeah you couldn’t have said it better thank you for your service to mankind! 🙏
I listen to you a lot bedros but today I HEARD you!! Salute to you bro💯💪🏾
I appreciate that 🙏🏼
Glad I could help brother!

Gonna be 39 next month. First baby on the way In January. I might be older than most of the other dads but I want them coming up and asking me how to get fit
Congratulations it’s all good bro I’m 38 with an 8 month old boy. First child as well.
