Wow! I am new to painting & have watched a lot of videos of abstract artists who scratch lines on the canvas and squirt water to make paint drip. Until now I thought they were affectations, marks on canvas that were unconnected to the final painting. And then I watched this video and instantly appreciated your process which absolutely connects the scratches & paint drips to the composition of the painting. I loved everything you did on this canvas! I think if I watch your process 3 or 4 times on just this painting, I will learn quite a lot about painting an abstract. Thanks for your generosity in sharing your process.

Hello, thanks for the nice comment. Normally I only use acrylic for these paintings, but this dark gray and white can also be acrylic-based chalk paint. I like this matte look

But I almost forgot to say that I always prime the canvas with the usual white gesso. The black / gray is already the first layer of color
