It,s not always BGA related faults, board 4 is a easy fix , the other boards are one of six ic's when lights are flashing. only thing to do is replace one of the six at a time, could be lucky and it could be the first one or second, could be unlucky and it could be the sixth, iv'e repared many of these m3 s2 over the years.
Sorry for my late reply... Actually my other working PCBs gone bad and just stacked up collecting dust. If you can fix them for me I am happy to send it to you. Where are you located?
@@redleader1817 Wow! That's the other side of the world from me🌍 How much will it cost to fix them? If fixing at your place then here, I will really consider. Thanks!
I have a Virtua Fighter 3 M3S1 board stack that seems to have a bad video board. It has solder flux in it from attempts to repair one of the chips. But it's a shame about Step 2 video boards; you really have to pack those extra extra well to avoid BGA damage.
To my knowledge, Step 1 video board’s component is mostly in QFP package so if its just solder issue its fairly easy to repair. Repairing old large dimension PCB with BGA is extremely difficult. Really needs care when handling for sure.
I always run my Model 3s in the metal cage with fans. Running without fans will cause irregular graphics over time. I can verify from Ken the Sega repair guru himself.
I have a virta fighter 3 pcb that has graphics issues. If I buy a replacement video board will that solve my issue? Also I see the VF3 is a step 1 so does the video board have to be a certain step as well? The person selling the video board doesn't state this so I am hoping to find some answers here.
@@alpaca8714 I tried to repair 5 broken step2.0 video boards and succeeded in 3 of them. If the board you sent me is fixed, I'll return it to you. I'm very happy with the Model 3 board repair, so I'd be happy if I could fix your board. I live in South Korea.
@@segamodelking2307 That's awesome! I'm curious, how do you distinguish the issue? From my experience, I suspect dead component or open solder joint on BGA components. I would like to talk to you more detail. Shall I send you short email in your TH-cam account so that we can talk their? Thanks!

Step 2.0 video boards are really fragile. I have BGA reballing equipment so I can try to fix it, I hope you can send me the boards.

From the symptom and error indicator LED that look like open connection somewhere.

それはとても残念です😢 この状態のビデオボードを修理は難しいと思うので、動作品が入手できると良いですね。
