This video is related to the Bara Dari of Kamran on the banks of the Ravi River in Lahore. Baradari refers to an airy building with more or less twelve doors built in a garden or on the bank of a river. A beautiful view of Ravi river can be seen from the top of Ravi bridge. Bara Dari of Kamran is located on the opposite bank of the river Ravi for which boats are available here. Kamran Mirza took over Lahore after the death of his father Emperor Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur. Kamran's Bara Dari was built by Kamran Mirza between 1530 and 1540. It is said that in the beginning, the condition of the Shahi Fort in Lahore was not better, so Kamran Mirza built Bara Dari in the middle of a spacious garden on the banks of the Ravi River. Among the Mughal buildings built in the city of Lahore, Kamran's Bara Dari is the oldest building.
There is also a bitter reality associated with Kamran's Bara Dari. When his own son Khusrau and his companions who rebelled before Emperor Jahangir were arrested and presented, then the emperor ordered the death penalty for the rebels and issued an order to gouge out the eyes of his son Khusrau. And on this occasion, Emperor Jahangir said the historical phrase that the king has no relatives. The strength of Kamran's Bara Dari can be gauged from the fact that the building is still standing on its own despite the ever-changing and energetic flow of the river.
