I can only hope that my mom is somehow listening to this fantastic music. She was a WAVE, making full lieutenant during the war. She loved to dance and always enjoyed this era music. Enjoy, Mom!! And thanks to everyone who made this production possible!

WAVE - From World War II, the US Navy created a program for women to serve in its ranks. Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. The officer candidates were trained at Smith College in Massachusetts. They quickly named it the USS Northampton. The women performed admirably and honorably. Not only nurses, but also as codebreakers, trainers and radio operators. Since my mother was one, we grew up knowing! She could still fit in her WAVE uniform when she passed at 85 years old.

Damn good rendition of a classic song. Great voices, good range, and superb musicians. I played trombone, sax, and piano in a similar band in high school back in the early '60s and we had several girls that could sing this song. thanks for sharing.

A wonderfully performed rendition of this old war era song. I especially love the middle singer's ability to give her all in this magnificent performance. A cut above the rest. I am sure the main attraction of the show. Oh! the musician's were spot on beat for beat note for note. A notable listen.

I was in charge of the annual volunteer recognition dinner one year. About a day before, the person in charge of the entertainment let me know there was no entertainment. I don't remember exactly what happened but there was the dinner without entertainment. I got 2 other ladies who sang to join me and we put together outfits that kind of conveyed the era. We sang for the guys. The hospital diector was ticked off at me. She wanted something elegant. But our volunteers are it up. Most of them were WE II vets. Of course this one was the hit of the evening.
