Or do you mean the Barbarettes' original version of some tune called 'Coca Cola'? And why would it be such a 'great effort'? Is it so hard to find? Must also say I've never heard of a song called 'Coca Cola', unless you're talking about some advertisement or other... 😕

WAVE - From World War II, the US Navy created a program for women to serve in its ranks. Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service. The officer candidates were trained at Smith College in Massachusetts. They quickly named it the USS Northampton. The women performed admirably and honorably. Not only nurses, but also as codebreakers, trainers and radio operators. Since my mother was one, we grew up knowing! She could still fit in her WAVE uniform when she passed at 85 years old.

The original singers were the Andrews Sisters , an American group.
"The Andrews Sisters were an American close harmony singing group of the swing and boogie-woogie eras. The group consisted of three sisters: contralto LaVerne Sophia (July 6, 1911 - May 8, 1967), soprano Maxene Anglyn (January 3, 1916 - October 21, 1995), and mezzo-soprano Patricia Marie "Patty" (February 16, 1918 - January 30, 2013). It is claimed that the sisters have sold more than 90 million records. Their 1941 hit "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" can be considered an early example of rhythm and blues or jump blues. Other songs closely associated with the Andrews Sisters include their first major hit, "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön (Means That You're Grand)" (1937), "Beer Barrel Polka (Roll Out the Barrel)" (1939), "Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar" (1940), "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree (With Anyone Else but Me)" (1942), and "Rum and Coca Cola" (1945), which helped introduce American audiences to calypso.
The Andrews Sisters' harmonies and songs are still influential today, and have been copied and recorded by entertainers such as Patti Page, Bette Midler, Christina Aguilera, Pentatonix, and others. The group was among the inaugural inductees to the Vocal Group Hall of Fame upon its opening in 1998. Writing for Bloomberg, Mark Schoifet said the sisters became the most popular female vocal group of the first half of the 20th century. They are still widely acclaimed today for their famous close harmonies. They were inducted into the Minnesota Rock/Country Hall of Fame in May 2006."

@@daleradder7354 let me be clear so there is no confusion: I am 52. I was a kid in the 1970's. Back then, ABC 7 from Detroit showed Abbott and Costello on Sunday morning. "Scream Theater" on Saturday nights. I am not of the greatest generation. I joined the Army in 1985. My apologies to anyone who misunderstood my comment.

@@tonybarnett1158 I grew up on Detroit tv as well. I'm a little older, though, at 60. I remember some great old shows. Sir Graves Ghastly, The Ghoul, The Friendly Giant, Rita Bell's Prize Movie, Bill Kennedy, Kimba the White Lion....the list goes on. And you're right, Abbot and Costello every Sunday morning. Andy Hardy, too. Those are great memories. Thanks for reminding me.

Old time Americans had culture. Ladies and gentlemen , elegent people, culture people around U.S.A. Nowadays Americans kids speak bad languages to show ego, and tatoo in their white skins to prove their personality, which is stupid.
We respect old American folks. Elder White , or black people had culture. Jazz, Swing, ....etc. Old time White people had shining smiles. Very cute Americans. I, as a Chinese background, respect American senior citizens very much. We all know elder people were really cruel in last generation.

I agree with the other comments on this title. That band is very tight and so are those vocals. It's a real shame that the original version sounded so muddy by the Andrews Sisters. I really appreciate how the band plays the instrumental practically note for note to capture the original instrumentation without taking any liberties. Once again...EXCELLENT!!!
