I like short videos, but not the shorts that youtube tries to push, just like a regular aspect ratio video that's like 5 minutes would be awesome for notable changes or concerns for builds.
This. For me it's relevant because the algorithms for shorts and regular videos are somewhat separate and I don't want to turn my shorts into a Warframe feed.
Agreed. 5-15 mins is my favorite "Just random watching" length. For 15-25 I'll have to sit down, for 25-50 that's almost a movie. Anything over 50 mins is something I plan to watch instead of a movie.

Shorts are good for changes to builds, but It would be nice if you could do them retroactively for your older refresh guides. Obviously the warframes that had vast changes over the years probably need a full video. But I would say a good 80% of the refresh playlist needs a short. eg. Saryn with dual toxocyst interaction. Awesome Barruk build, I'm gonna try it! Edit: it would be nice if you pinned the link for the corresponding short in each video so we can find it easier!
While I agree with you, I think Brozime's long form is better. You get the build, the reasoning behind his choices, the alternate choices and then the example of how it actually works in game. In a short you really can't get that out in that limited amount of time. Yes its an update but at some point its not longer a short its a full fledged video so may as well be the long form we get. Great thought tho
A normal video on a post nerf/change build would always be nice, I personally don't jive with shorts that much, especially in Warframe's case, where the resolution ratio makes it awkward to try to see anything.
Baruuk is amazing for solo, but impossible to use properly while playing with a team, you simply can't kill enough enemies to sustain restraint if you ain't playing solo. Also, Panzer Vulpaphyla with Tandem Bond can keep your combo permanently up while using serene storm, the waves are more than enough to kill anything in the game, no clunky slam build required.
Well, that's just wrong. I main Baruuk. Go into SP, pop your daggers, speed ahead, lull groups of enemies, pop your four, keep your daggers up and see the good numbers.
@@stayshift you've gotta fight tooth and nail to keep your restraint down, especially if someone's playing a long range nuker. Sevagoth and Voruna, for example, will obliterate most enemies before you can tag them with Lull or Desolate Hands. If you're fast enough and your teammates are slow enough, you're good, but if not you'll be reduced to a bad weapon platform.
I subsumed Wrathful Advance over his 1 and ran a few duration shards to get his duration to around 40%. It makes it super fun to zip around and feel like Lee Sin while punching and kicking the soul out of the enemies.
You can kiiiinda use blood rush on exalted if you equip gladiator mods! 3 of them are available to melee weapons so you can stick that onto the whip and get 30% CC per combo (150% CC at 6x)
the idea of shorts or 3 minutes videos will be nice, either for new augments that doesn't deserve a full video, minor build updates, or current bugs or bugs fixes that affects certain build or that have been affecting them for a long time. also 20:26 hi robozime
I think when it comes to the updated builds due to small changes/nerfs; I'd prefer to have more of a "compilation" video of sorts covering several changes across different frames/builds as opposed to a handful of shorts/5-minute videos with the aforementioned compilation video linked in the original videos description (preferably at the top so it's easily visible.)
Any chance there's a Mesa update on the horizon? Mostly asking because I'm a little sick of using Nourish and I'm on that copium that there's alternatives on a similar level EDIT: Also to answer the question from the Survival, I feel like actual videos would probably be better, Shorts have the potential to get lost in the mix

17:26 I say if it’s like a slight tweak with like 2 or 3 differences make a short…usually if I copy a build from u I usually have no reason to come back to the video…so a pinned comment or something on that video wouldn’t work for someone like me…but a short is new so I’ll get notified and it’s not wasted footage on a 10-15 min video on 2 or 3 mod changes to the build of everything else (including how u play the build) is still the same

For any minor build changes, a short duration video is what I’d prefer. I disable TH-cam shorts for a variety of reasons and would still like to see any updates.
Noticed in my baruuk has reached my most played frame and for good reason Even when he can't be used to his full potential you can throw up his three, spam the 2 with low duration and play the game on easy mode Probably 400+ hours in baruuk and don't think I've died to enemies yet

I think a short for an update is acceptable as long as there are links on each that link to each other. Main problem is that the short needs to make sense by its self to people that are just scrolling, coming across "update to x build" without previous context or a link(that works*) back to the original video is just bad shorts content and would be better as just a pinned comment or updated description. *shorts are weird links in comments don't work, you can link to a video at the bottom of a short as a created from link.
I’m good with an actual whole update video on nerfs and retooling. But I wouldn’t expect a whole new kuva fortress run. Just a quick showing to let me know if it still worth investing in or not. But I understand that just making a short makes more sense. Which ever you think will get you better monetization!

If a new/returning player sees a video that as a date for tweaks in a pinned comment I can be assured its up to date and not completely irrelevant. If an update comment is too long then thats when its time for a new video.
On build updates: I think I'm more likely to see a community post than a short. I suppose I might prefer a compilation of short updates with timestamps, or a regular brief video. Either way I appreciate when others add a pinned message on the main video adding new info, or even change the title to include "read pinned" in the event that an update broke something.

What about ferrying the Gladiator Set effects off your Normal Melee to bolster the Serene Storm? Given the initial-combo being given, you'll regularly get decent crit bonuses for higher tiers of crits, which can get even more crazy when given the Galvanized Steel effect of more crit damage per tier of crit. Given that G. Steel gives a bit of crit but lots more crit damage, I'd actually say Organ Shatter could be dropped in the same vein as Sac. Steel to consolidate what's actually on the Serene Storm and thus provide more space for something like Focus Radon (gives a bit of Radiation and even more Combo Efficiency)
Id love a short that shows what it does, says "these are optimal, these are the alternatives," and explains in a sentence or two how to do it. Like, "this is baruuk's 40 million damage slam. Here are the mods, heres the weapons, and you do it by slamming." 30 seconds flat, and we can pause on the mod screen to read them.

Only gripe I have with any of these builds is burning claw on the panzer vulpa; shocking claw applies electric on all of the vulpaphyla's damage including its viral spores allowing you to use both Archon stretch, and synth deconstruct for ebergy economy
I would rather have build updates as videos rather than shorts mainly because even if yt notifies when a short is published, I just see the notif, delete it and think "I'll watch that later" and then I proceed to forget about it and never watch it, meanwhile an actual video will also pop up on my home page for a few days so 1. I'll get reminded that the video exists, and 2. I'll get reminded that it exists while I'm actually on youtube so I can watch it straight away and I don't have to put it on a to-do list or something (also, I know yt also puts shorts on the home page but I purposefully hit the cross on that tab so I don't have shorts there, just cause I don't really fancy seeing tik tok reuploads constantly).

I made a slam build with baruuk that hits red crit millions only two purple shards in him so far sadly. His fist also can red crit now pretty much permanently with ceramic dagger with galvanized reflex blood rush corrupt charge initial combo riven and gladiator mods
If you're not going to use the whip anyway and you've got initial combo might as well put the gladiator set on it for the added crit chance for desert storm

If you wanna be thorough as basically the defacto Warframe updates guy, I'd say make like a short and maybe link the short to the original video, and leave a pinned comment or update the description to reflect the changes if they are small changes. I know that has the potential to get a little confusing if they have to make multiple balance passes affecting a certain build, but I guess it's up to you to determine of the changes are significant enough to warrant an entire refresh video.
I'm cool with Shorts - just make sure to link it in the original video, 'cause I know a lot of people that have disabled the Shorts Feed (myself included).
I think update shorts would be the better option for actual brevity and not cluttering the channel with like 5 minute update content, but they can go unnoticed pretty easily so a short with a small channel announcement maybe?

I like shorts, but they get pushed in a weird way where sometimes I don't get notified that they dropped. Might just be a weird problem with my software though I dunno.
i personally really like pillage on baruuk, even with negative duration i can get decent coverage(31.6m with 145% range and 50% duration) and with all the DR and shields he feels nigh immortal
How 'bout a re-look at Valkyr? With the new melee mods and purple shards she can hit hundreds of millions of damage and while the AOE isn't as good as Baruuk, she moves between targets quickly and has the obvious advantage of being invincible while in her 4 (which should be constant unless you get hit by a bunch of energy drain from leech eximus or something).
idk if baruuks 4 can proc Melee Influence but it procd for me once whilst using his 4 i had electric as a side element next to viral the icon for the arcane popped up maybe it was a one time thing but its never happened after that
Honestly, i would prefer if you did larger update videos when builds get nerfed/ buffed, but making quick shorts also works very well and would probably be easier on you as far as time usage goes
I genuinely don't care where the build updates comes from, weather they be in full videos or shorts, so if shorts are easier to produce than go for it. We crave gudiance from Warframe Daddy.
You could do shorter video. I feel like the shorts are a little harder to access, but like a 5 minute video explaining how a build changed, or if further context was added, it could be neat as a record

Its bugged where when baruuk gets combo (which he does in this build it messed up the glad set

I never see any YT shorts. I think if you rolled up a bunch of changes to builds that happened because of hotfixes into a video, that would be good.

The single elements from reactive storm I see as less of a bug and more of just a small quirk to work around

What damage number settings does he use? The way his numbers pop out are very clean to read mine are too condensed and sometimes overlap

I know that has the potential to get a little confusing if they have to make multiple balance passes affecting a certain build, but I guess it's up to you to determine of the changes are significant enough to warrant an entire refresh video.
I'm cool with Shorts - just make sure to link it in the original video, 'cause I know a lot of people that have disabled the Shorts Feed (myself included).

I laughed watching the consistent 86 Million plus damage. Time to try this build out.
I think update shorts would be the better option for actual brevity and not cluttering the channel with like 5 minute update content, but they can go unnoticed pretty easily so a short with a small channel announcement maybe?

ok i think i may have burnt something but weird question, is quick thinking technically better on a pflow+purple build than running a vitality mod if i want more tank?? just seems like could be but maybe base armor + more strength with umbral would still make it irrelevant
though it has been a really long time since it was used, cant remember, does dr or armor even work on it?
I like shorts, but they get pushed in a weird way where sometimes I don't get notified that they dropped. Might just be a weird problem with my software though I dunno.
i personally really like pillage on baruuk, even with negative duration i can get decent coverage(31.6m with 145% range and 50% duration) and with all the DR and shields he feels nigh immortal
How 'bout a re-look at Valkyr? With the new melee mods and purple shards she can hit hundreds of millions of damage and while the AOE isn't as good as Baruuk, she moves between targets quickly and has the obvious advantage of being invincible while in her 4 (which should be constant unless you get hit by a bunch of energy drain from leech eximus or something).

idk if baruuks 4 can proc Melee Influence but it procd for me once whilst using his 4 i had electric as a side element next to viral the icon for the arcane popped up maybe it was a one time thing but its never happened after that
Honestly, i would prefer if you did larger update videos when builds get nerfed/ buffed, but making quick shorts also works very well and would probably be easier on you as far as time usage goes
I noticed you didn't recast serene storm for the augmented buff, I was hoping to see the extra strength

I genuinely don't care where the build updates comes from, weather they be in full videos or shorts, so if shorts are easier to produce than go for it. We crave gudiance from Warframe Daddy.

I did a little haha funny and put this on valkyr, it's a bit scuffed but I can just ignore everything and just slam lol.
It should be noted Valkyr can do similar things with a similar setup with Hysteria.
