i just love the way she sings. every vocal trick is placed so strategically to give emotion. The whispers, the hoos n haas, the vibratos, the belts, the whistles. shes really technical.

I am so grateful for her performing this song I know can’t let go is not an easy song to sing but she killed it and I love when she performs the songs that she normally doesn’t this will always be a memory for me, If I could ask her to sing one of my other favorite songs that we never really heard her ever sing, it would be till the end of time

Whats amazing is that as we age our voice changes, from the age of 3 and then up until out teenage years, in our 30s and we have to keep re-learning out singing technique and changing our pitch, but Mariah has nailed it for decades and reimagined her own music. She is on top and the greatest vocalist, a pleasure to listen to.

It’s in a lower key and the tempo slowed down. Also the background singers are carrying the chorus mainly.
Oh how I miss her voice on those first two albums. Her best tone for me was on those masterpiece records. If she kept that, I don’t think there would have been a question who was the best of the trilogy
Unfair. Her voice each time is unequivocally evolved to her emotional state which is what makes her a damn good artist. People should let her shine per era, not compared to the “who she was “ 🙄

It was purposeful due to her voice deterioration. The background singers are assisting her in carrying the song.

There are just a few singer, they keep their special in their voice until they mid 60. Patty Labelle for example. When she was 50 or 60, she still sang very powerful all notes.

I am part in of the generation that saw her rise to fame. My sisters and I loved her. However, she had her breakdown and that was it. Anne Murray once commented about singers letting go of their youth. She was right. Growing older as a singer you let go high ticket prices and glamour. Voices go with age. Mariah should Let Go.

If this is a wasted voice pls give me that wasted voice..you know what makes her better even her voice is not the same on the 90s is her song writing ability and emotions that was truly loved by the people. For me it's not her voice that makes her legandary but its the emotions and song writing ability she possess. She writes her songs and she is the one who can only put true emotions on her songs for that songs are parts of her life.

Oh I agree. Song is slowed down. And the voice is not agile anymore. Sounds amateurish at best. Would'nt pay to see that. She uses backup singers to fluff up the diffycult parts.
