    60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history, began its 52nd season in September. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 is still a hit in 2020. 60 Minutes makes Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 nearly every week and was the #1 weekly television broadcast three times last season.

The average audience for a 60 Minutes broadcast is 150% higher than those of the network morning news programs; the audience dwarfs the number of viewers drawn by the most popular cable news programs.
    About a million more people listen to the 60 Minutes radio simulcast in several major cities and on its companion podcast. Tens of thousands each week experience 60 Minutes online. The broadcast’s segments can be watched at 60Minutes.com and on the CBS All Access app. Its webcast, 60MinutesOvertime.com, offers content originally produced for the web, including behind-the-scenes video about the production of 60 Minutes stories and timely archival segments.
    60 Minutes has won every major broadcast award. Its 25 Peabody and 150 Emmy awards are the most won by any single news program. It has also won 20 duPont-Columbia University journalism awards. Other distinguished journalism honors won multiple times include the George Polk, RTDNA Edward R. Murrow, Investigative Reporters and Editors, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta Chi and Gerald Loeb awards.

    I laughed and joked about this interview 7 years ago and now I realize how foolish I was as this was indeed a great interview. Both sides demonstrated respect and thrived on the mutual aim of diminishing misunderstanding between people of the two nations. Not to mention that Mr.Wallace threw out difficult yet valued questions which made the interview worth watching. Time has gone and quality conversations like this are so hard to find on conventional medias (if there's any). My respect to 江主席 and Mr.Wallace.

      @taipeistp5660 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me answer. At that time, there were two factions of the Chinese Communist Party, one reformist conservative, the other reformist radical. It went on for days when China had no police security equipment, only the military. Students were not killed, and soldiers were killed by spies who mingled with the crowd. To incite bloodshed. The United States, Hong Kong and Taiwan are behind the event. If troops are not mobilized, China may split. Like the breakup of the Soviet Union, like the Arab Spring.

      when the interviewer did this interview, I can not find any intention for him to try to understand china as you can easily see from the arrogant attitude. this is common sense. if two person have a discuss with mutual respect, then they are trying to understand each other. so clearly there is a mission behind it why the interviewer tries every means to diminish Presedant. Jiang. To show off his or american's superiority, that's it, so simple. Nothing but show off typical american arrogance. After 22 years, you can tell how hypocritical american are. where is human right when people protest on wallstreet, and the police use violence against them. why suddenly Trump was blocked from the whole internet, where is freedom speech? the examples are countless. the old saying never goes outdated, that a man speaks value all the time, he is counting business all the time. its true for capitalism, dont forget capitalism literally means captial is above everything. value is nothing infront of captial.

      That's a stupid smoke screen. There is no inconceivable cultural mystique lurking in the shadows & the US's ills stem mostly from its lack of democracy (the Senate which should be abolished, the Electoral College which should be abolished, Gerrymandered districts, irregular & unjust primary rules that allow incumbents to run unopposed, lifetime rather than 12 year SCOTUS terms with 3 judges appointed in the 1st year of each Prez mandate, the ability of states to deprive voting rights to felons (along with a blatantly pay-to-play legal & criminal justice system), private & for-profit prisons, an all pervasive surveillance state where the NSA still in 2024 can watch Americans through their cell phone cameras even when turned off & all their texts (since authorizing programs of project PRISM were never ended but in fact strengthened earlier this year), the fact that elections are sold to the highest bidder, the lack of federally funded education system throgh university level so that all can access the necessary tools to high-level economic & informed political participation, the list goes on and on).

    I didn't see this originally. I didn't even understand why they were showing it until I read that he had passed. This is an incredible incredible insightful view into the Chinese Communist party 22 years ago. I expect from some point many of the beliefs are still the same and some have changed just as we have our Republican party that was on one track at one time and on a completely different track now. Incredibly insightful conversation that has taught me more about China and I think I even understood.

      Xi is basically bringing China back to Mao thinking. Dissent is being crushed without remorse. They are cracking down on LGBTQ big time. They recently issued guidance saying no ‘feminine-acting’ or ‘feminine-looking’ men can be shown on TV. This is in direct reference to what they perceive as K-Pop influence. LGBTQ groups are being silenced harshly. Some cities were beginning to have small pride celebrations in 2019, but there are now none in any city

    Jiang Zemin owned this reporter like how MJ owns the slow white guy on a basketball court. When JZ was questioned about being a dictator, he was corrected that the entire party has to agree on the decisions that he makes which is anything but a dictatorship, then Anderson tried to bring up tank man as if he could make a point without realising that the man was trying to stop the tanks from LEAVING the tanks. Anderson was trolling but was outsmarted. Simple as that.

      A中国不能没有欺诈共产党? 什么坏事共产党都干了!中国共产党亡-天定的。中共一直在用宣传,洗脑,谎言,欺骗,诱惑和暴力干掉了太多中国和世界人们的道德规范和人性。20多年来惡魔中共迫害至死上百万平和的法轮功佛法修炼人。还有良知的人退出中共惡魔党,团,队组织,拒绝中共, 弃恶归善吧. 中共和它的追随者要面对历史的淘汰!
