Joe.... You are KILLING me!!! LOL I love watching you cook because you are so REAL!!! When you smell the ingredients, you describe in a way that makes me smell it (and I'm in Pa.) When you taste it, you describe in such a way that I can actually smell it and then when you do this, MY mouth starts to water and THEN I'm off to the supermarket for the ingredients to make it. Love it!!! Keep these recipes comin' !!!!

Joe. I can't wait to make this salad! You make it sound SOOOO delicious. Thursday afternoon (...it's Saturday evening NOW) I made your bolonaise sauce. It was excellent (...the only "problem" was that I didn't have enough liquid to reheat it. So I added some consommé and it was great). Thank you so much for both recipes. All the best, from Montréal, Québec .

You forgot to tell us the strangest fact of them all, Cesar’s restaurant was located I. Mexico as a way around prohibition, so Cesar salad originated in Tijuana, ya left the weirdest part out!

High end Italian restaurants lose it when people ask for Cesar Salad. Italians do not claim Cesar salad as their own. Cesar may have been Italian, but you are 100%, it was created in TJ and it has become an iconic American salad. Absolutely love it!

The original Caesar salad had anchovies, yeah. But that was a very long time ago. It was made with what ever the chef had in the kitchen. He didnt think what he wanted to make, he used what ever he had at that time. I know, because I went to the restuarant where the ceaser salad was originally made, in Mexico.
But not everyone likes the flavor of anchovies. Actually, most people dont like anchovies. Actually, at the restaurant where the caesar salad was created, you can order it without anchovies, and they make the dressing right in front of your table.

I don't see the need to flavor up the croutons, the dressing will take care of that. There's a risk over-seasoning and why create more work prepping , cleaning and using product. I'm sure they are a delicious stand alone crouton, but croutons aren't made to be stand alone.
