I really loved Mwalimu. Such an intelligent & altruistic man. His praises won't be sung because he was a true man of the people who din't care about enriching himself, his family & a few friends as many politicians do. I wish that was a system of government that worked well enough to do right by ALL people. It's really not about socialism, communism or capitalism. It's about man's greed & his lack of empathy, compassion & kindness. If we all seriously cultivated these ideals, then no child would go without vis-s-vis education, access to healthcare & all other things that contribute to true progress of a nation. Anyway, you did so much for your people and, in essence, many others & for that your name & legacy is ensured in history books. Rest in power, Mwalimu. And may God forever bless your soul.

This video gave me an opportunity to remind myself of who I am and what I should do for others. Change in peace takes time. We all need to play a part in another's growth and change. ❤ We shouldn't intimidating people. We need more of political education and general education. Unadhani Tanzania ingekuwaje kama ujamaa ungeendelea?

      That's a fact.
The only thing we learned about Tanzania in elementary school was information about Kilimanjaro and in high school we learned nothing. I first learned about him early this calendar year. I am from Denmark and I was surprised to learn that the former Danish king and queen visited Tanzania and spent time with Nyerere. That concludes that it would be relevant to learn in a Danish school system.

Vladimir Putin only began studying English a few years ago, and rarely speaks it. Chinese President Xi Jinping can only speak a little English, and Japan's Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, always uses an interpreter when conversing with an English speaker.
Conclusion: It is not mandatory to learn the language of the oppressors. Furthermore knowing English doesn't equate to being educated (Many world leaders use translators and its very common in Europe UN assembly and the list goes on and on). Language is an identity and the more you learn to appreciate your identity the more respect you get. Kama kiingereza changu hapo kimepinda, basi jua tu Kiingereza si lugha yangu

He played his part with good intentions and laid a foundation for someone else to continue where he left under the circumstances of the cold war. Would you have wanted him to be like Mobutu?

Med Hers, You sound like one of the economic parasites who wanted to suck the blood of ordinary Tanzanians. If you are as I believe you are then you have reason to complain because you lost out during that period of change. Pole.

This is a review from one of the people who had the chance to experience life in Tanzania within the first years of its infancy. (Wright after independence). Unfortunately, you need to know Kiswahili for that. The video is just an opinion you don't have to agree with it. th-cam.com/video/hPB-6gce3c8/w-d-xo.html
