Fantastic stuff as always Matt - good to see you back posting on YT. Did you ever try the Rag Company Pluffle towel for ONR/FPR removal?

No but I'm sure it was one of many I purchased to use. Must be around somewhere the unit lol

@@ObsidianDetailing to that point, FPR is the Fenynlab rinseless wash, right?

Yes sir, probably should have stated that 🤣
Feynlab pure rinseless just doesn't roll off the keyboard after a while

@@ObsidianDetailing that is defo one for the description below the video. I remember you saying that the Feynlab is great for the polish removal, I'm going to get some in my next order. ONR isn't bad at it,but this looks way better.

It cleans better for sure. You can almost see it congeal. ONR is slicker in use though, so be interesting to see what you prefer and why

I will have to try leaving some compound/polish on the panel and move onto another section or 2 before removing, seems more relaxing and more efficient for sure. Spend 5-10 minutes with the polisher and then 5 min-10 min wiping up the residue for instance, i like it! :D I've been wiping down every section(small) i do right away.

This one really isn't a case of "right and wrong" and as you rightly state, one of efficiency. I know some people on Facebook have raised fears of polish hardening or drying out but I think they misunderstand what a modern polish is and are thinking about old skool bodyshop compounds or even glazes. I could honestly go on holiday and leave it on, come back and wipe it off no issues. As long as you have dialled in your combos and mapped out the car, no reason not to be more efficient

Great results as always Matt, interesting you mention the polish removal, I was one of the people unsure of the method but after seeing this and your method it's definitely worth a try.
I'm more I interested in your work due to the rotary skills as I really need to get myself trained. Couple of questions.. are you taking paint readings before and after with doing so many passes like that? Looks like you're using Koch H9 which with a wool pad is quite aggressive, do you find your number of passes optimal for defect removal without removing too much clear? Also what brand pads are you using?

Will cover this in a video if you don't mind, its a great question that can bring value to others
