    Me telling myself it’ll be ok and I can do it EXACTLY when you said how you would jump right in and make mistakes. 🤣 MEEEEEEEE all day long!! Edited to add: dang this dough and bread is GORGEOUS. Thank you so much for all you do. I’m new to FMF and you are a wealth of knowledge. ❤️

    I love your videos! I do have one recommendations... perhaps turn down the background music just a bit while you are talking, it can be a bit distracting. The music choice is nice, it's just a little loud :)

    Thank you! Also, thanks for showing the two different bread styles ie. braided and rolled.

    I love that pile of butter and all those eggs. My chickens are laying a lot, so I need to use those eggs. Can’t wait to try this!

      It was a beautiful sight to me too!!! lol Thank heavens for our chickens or this recipe REALLY would have been expensive!

    That dough was gorgeous! The color and softness was amazing. I’m guessing all those eggs and butter had a lot to do with that. Great video as usual. ❣️

    Mine didn't rise good😮I'm thinking I must not have let the yeast proof enough? It looked good thru all the rest of the steps, until it seemed like it had over proofed. It's certainly a journey with FMF. After trying it, it's a recipe I will definitely make again. Thank you!

    Have you tried spraying some water on the baguettes a couple times as they bake? The crust may be a little crispy or chewy.

    Have you ever used your brioche dough recipe to make sausage kolaches? I think it would be great.

    Minimum of two rises for the best flavor of any yeast bread .

    Looks so good! One day I’ll invest in a flour mill. A little pricey for me at the moment, and I have store-bought to get through first but I’ve been hearing so many amazing health benefits to fresh milled grains. Great video!

    • @GrainsandGrit
      @GrainsandGrit  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is well worth the investment. I encourage you to make it a priority :-)

      @@GrainsandGrit I will. Thank you for your response. God bless. ❤

      I agree, make it a priority big time! Your health will repay you. Look at preowned mills to help the budget. My daughter found a mock mill for $100.00! Had been used five times they didn’t understand how to adjust it mill so they couldn’t get the fine flour so sold it. I taught her how to adjust it. Many videos on that online she had looked for five months before she found it! So don’t give up. As for your store bought stuff, well I took mine and blessed a friend with it she insisted on payment so she paid half price and not a bag of store bought has entered our home since three years ago and the pharmacy is not happy but we sure are! Meds GONE! No need per Dr orders it’s well worth that sacrifice and I call it sacrifice of the dead flour!🙂

    What a touching story in my email I rec'd today from ya! Elder man that his wife had passed, and he shared a "gift" with you - I don't want to spoil it for the other readers - that led me to your Brioche recipe. The details of this recipe - I printed it out first and then made notes as I watched this vid - you are so thorough I did not have to make many notes. at all. I am not a newbie newbie but a newbie - learning in progress for sure. I am giving this a try this week. Thank you for your loving spirit, sharing so much info and look forward to your recipe.

      Yes, and he said the brioche I gave him (literally my first attempt) was better than the French bakery he and his wife used to get brioche from! So proud, hehe

    I literally was thinking at the beginning of the video, can I bulk ferment this in the fridge? Yay, I can. I always do my bulk rise over night in the fridge I think it gives the bread great flavor plus maybe a bit more digestible.

    • @GrainsandGrit
      @GrainsandGrit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes this dough does well. Just know, if you pull it out to shape from fridge it takes a long time to rise. Usually about 2 hours for me! Depends on warmth of house :-)

    Can you substitute the sugar for honey?

    • @GrainsandGrit
      @GrainsandGrit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly, but that may mean less flour. So just watch that :-)

    I hope you can answer my question, I have some organic wheat berries and found some moths in them, I placed it in the freezer, can it be eaten after being clean out? Or do I have to toss them?
