Finally some AF lenses, sadly its not a Full Frame one. Also, when you did the ratios for cropping, it would have been nice to see how it would have been for cameras using the Atomos recorders, because that lets you capture more of the sensor iirc, for example in the atomos page it says for the a1 (HDMI RAW 4.3K Metadata Uncropped (1.77:1) 4332 x 2446)

What it looks like is just a repackaged Sniper lens and called 'anamorphic'. no distortion, no coating..nothing. Unfortunately far from anamorphic. Ordinary spherical lens cropped into 2:4:1
Anamorphic is compressing images horizontally, creating a wider field of view. What you know as "anamorphic" were just side effects of older technology while compressing. This is what a true anamorphic lens is supposed to look like.
@Kxng5Jeevy Great. Then buy and convince yourself that you have an anamorphic lens. Because besides my 2.0 lenses, as you say, I don't know what anamorphic is. You are urban and modern cinematographer i see.
@@digitalvertigo515 I don't have to convince myself because I understand Cinematography.. I like the anamorphic lenses with character but I also know this is the picture they were aiming for when creating the first lenses but got distortion etc
@@Kxng5Jeevy you explaim that to the client who want anamorphic look. Distortion, softness,flares. Cos he pay for it not for horisontaly wide view. Not our philosophy and some rules. Any cheap vintage lens is more anamorphic than this one. Just crop to 2:4:1 and you got it

If I am going the anamorphic route I would do it for more "character", this just looks like a spherical lens.
This is an anamorphic lens... But you want an anamorphic lens with character.. Anamorphic is just compressing horizontal images to get a wider view.
Agree. We need more of waterfall bokeh and more distortions.

My pocket 3 Anamorphic lens is way smaller than that! Still a Awesome lens.
