- Shadow Raiders was an animated television series produced by Mainframe Entertainment that aired from 1998 to 1999. The show was loosely based on the Trendmasters toy line, War Planets. The original character designs were created by ReBoot designer, Brendan McCarthy. Although the show ended after its second season, tying up most of the loose ends, a proposed third season that would have answered major questions, like the origin of the Beast Planet, was never made. The series focuses on the four warring planets of a solar system called the Cluster as they are forced to set aside their differences and form an alliance against the threat of the Beast Planet.
One of the most underrated shows of the 90's.
I liked the meaningful message this Canadian mini-series was sending; putting differences aside,both personal & political, and fighting evil for the greater good.

It wasn't shoved in my face, but I too loved this message and wished the series had a conclusion along with ReBoot.

The style of mainframes cgi for me at the time left an impact on me as a kid, everything just seemed so otherworldly, atmospheric and I absolutely loved it. It really defined my childhood for me

This was one of Mainframe's best shows alongside "ReBoot" & "Beast Wars." Back in the day when Mainframe was no. 1.
Would've been cool to see a Beast Wars reboot someday.

@@DutchGuyMike Ya I grew up watching Starship troopers and this. Both are kids shows, both are about war. Not everybody makes it.
One of the best shows in the 90's eventhough it was produced & released a the time when the animation industry was on it's last legs.
I loved this show!,it's a shame that nobody remembers it as much as beast wars or reboot!

This was a damn good show!! I wished they continued it. I remember it being taken off air during season 2. Was totally into it. My weekends weren't the same after that lol
This series was awesome despite its got canceled. Back when Command and Conquer and Starcraft was so popular back then, i was like "it will be cool if there a RTS game based on this series".
god this show had such amazing voice acting, and the music was amazing
The younger generation may laugh at the CGI now but they don't realise that with the technology available available back then , to get quality like this was nothing short of amazing

I loved this show. Although you wouldn't be able to tell when I failed to realize it got cancelled o; just another old fave of mine that had too short of a life...
i miss this series, i really hope that they make a comeback with it or re-air a remastered version
Jesse Cartledge I wish even better that it woud make a comeback but this time with with real actors - not a comutorised cartoon but as real series for the grownups with awesome cast & scripts/stories (more detailes) ofcourse in this day`n age with awesome high budget special effects and enough high budget for the entire show = no compromises making it as awesome as it can possibly be.
Then finnish the story after I don`t know how many seasons (26 episodes per season like in Star Trek TNG, DS9 Voyager & Enterprise not only 10 like in Game of Thrones) And last but not least get the dream team backed by some studio to make all of this happen. :)

@@tyraela115 That won't happen in a million years. Even hyper-high budgets sci-fi series like The Mandalorian can only use human protagonists or actors with some latex make-up on them like Star Trek. Game of Thrones didn't even digitally remove Tyrion's nose as in the books because it would have been impractical to erase his nose from every frame of every minute he was on screen. This is an entire cast of non-humans with flaming heads, four arms or weird frills that would have to be digitally enhanced at all times, set on entirely fantastic sets. What would be the point of live action? Animation can be for grown-ups too.

@@Rodrigo_Vega You sure a 2D, dark and gritty reboot of Shadow Raiders can work? I mean don't get me wring I love the original show and I got use to it's animation but it's just I thought a 2D reboot would be cool since nobody likes 3D animation much.

Loved Beast Wars and Reboot as a kid. So much that it stuck with me all these years and I still try to watch the occasional episode now in my 30's. Had no fucking clue this show even existed until 5 minutes ago XD Either it never made it to terestial TV in the UK or it just somehow managed to fly past me completely.
Yeah, it wasn't on TV often I only managed to catch it thanks to my father who noticed it as he was scrolling the TV channels.

Ya era un hecho que nunca podrían destruir al planeta bestia. Si soporto el choque del planeta fuego y pudo soportar la exp,o Sión de el planeta selva desde dentro.
Y encima pudo entrar al sistema planetario a través del sol. Entonces virtualmente es indestructible. Es como un agujero negro.
Lo de los motores mundiales si no se como explicarlo pero era algo wue lampri y posiblemente Block y ese espectro de capa que nunca hablo...pues sabian. Quizás en una forma similar a halo.
Existió una civilización súper avanzada. Antes decir todo esto. Y quizás esa civilización construyó los motores mundiales. Quizás otra civilización construyó o creo al planeta bestia y a sus zaganos. Y por eso este perseguía y destruia.
Además tengo la teoría de que en realidad las víctimas de los zánganos y sus armas no morían en si. Sino que eran teletransportados quizás a otra dimensión quizás el planeta bestia era un portal portalámparas otra dimensión donde si usaban usaban a los mundos conquistados como esclavos. No se como pero sospecho que era algo asi.
Y bueno el final que te digo...pues parece aceptable. Nos libra,os del planeta bestia...lanzandolo a otro lado del universo. Y eso nos dejará a nosotros en paz.
