I wish beauty influencers kept the faces of celebrities who have visible aesthetic treatments like fillers, surgery done away from videos where we are supposed to analyze natural features 🤔

I love playing into my more masculine or feminine features depending on my mood! I have what I would describe as an androgynous face naturally with a mix of both masculine and feminine features. I have recently gone back to shaving my head (because hair annoys me lol) and I love being able to rock that one day with intense high contrast makeup, then throw on a long wig and do soft glam the next. It’s really freeing to just kinda ignore the gender expectations placed on me as a cis woman, and just do whatever I feel like day to day.

    My features are really feminine-

A lot of those celebrities have had surgery to strengthen the look of the jaw. Not to mention the cheek implants and or fillers. Most of the people we see on the red carpet have had cosmetic surgery now.

I've always wanted to look "handsome" but my face has an overall soft impression.
I didn't look good every time I tried to look masculine and my friends always said "it doesn't harmonize with your energy" and explained I was a very feminine person inside out that I had to pursue that direction if I wanted to look good.
When I watched your video explaining why Cara Delevingne (and other celebrities) having feminine features makes them look beautiful doing androgynous looks, I was mind blown!
I have so much insecurity about my face, but I'm trying to figure out how I can do my makeup/styling so I can present myself who I am through fashion! Thank you Jenn ♥️
(Sorry about my English, I hope it made sense)

Tilda Swinton and Kate Blanchett both have sharp, masculine leaning faces but also their softer coloring and ethereal, otherworldly essence balances it out. They were both cast as powerful, beautiful Queens who are mythical beings.

I feel like makeup choices are very connected to personal color theory. Dua Lipa and Jennifer Connelly look better in “bold makeup” because the bold makeup in question is black or very dark eyeshadow and eyeliner, which is contrasted against their skin tone. I think the reason they tend to look good in dark colored makeup is because the dark contrast matches the contrast from their dark hair or dark eyes.
The examples given of celebrities who looked bad in “bold looks only looked bad because the makeup is darker than any feature of their face or hair so there is no harmony. Some of them could probably pull off the same boldness of makeup but with different, brighter colors. Also, some makeup artists actually use bold eye makeup on people with more prominent noses to draw attention away from the nose.

Beauty industries often emphasize different products for enhancing "masculine" or "feminine" features. For example, makeup techniques or grooming can highlight or downplay certain facial traits to align with desired looks or societal norms.

I'm an ingenue! I look good in the coquette aesthetic. I'm youthful, and it's not obvious I'm 32. I can wear some soft natural pieces, but I'm probably too tiny to be that type. Farmcore coquette is my vibe, but I play with morute or gothy girly looks. I'm actually a cat girl.
I prefer masculine men that are either stocky or muscular. My husband is actually 6'4." He doesn't have extreme angularity, but he's never been "pretty," lol. I'm guessing he'd be some kind of natural if Kibbe did males. I wish there was more typology for men.
Anyway, couples often balance out whatever yin yang they have. I'm lukewarm and soft. He's warm and hard.

  • @SchlichteToven

I'm starting to get an idea of why certain things look better on me than others. There are so many factors, but I find I can lean to more masculine styles if they're boyish, and more feminine styles if they're girlish, as opposed to styles that are more associated with being mature. I think the youthful factor is more important than the masculinity or femininity for me. If I wear dresses, they're always better if they contain a striking, structural element on an otherwise feminine style, like a puffed or princess sleeves on a dress or a square-cut neckline and fitted upper body in a more sturdy fabric (Elizabethan-inspired), or a fitted, A-line, wool, double-breasted coat with a martingale in back and brass buttons. On the other hand, if I go more masculine, it's better if it's a tomboy style. I look weird in traditional-style suit tailoring like Cate Blanchett wears, and look like I'm playing dress-up in more "womanly" styles of dresses. I wonder if that needs to change when I get older. Like, will youthful styles still be best on me when I'm 60? I'm 40 now, but still get carded for alcohol, and my hair is still its original red with no white hairs yet. What happens if my hair turns white? Will I have to change to wearing pantsuits, or will my face structure still be about the same and so youthful style will still look best? It's too bad it takes most of people's youth to even figure out what looks good on them.

Thank you for a superinteressting video, I would like much more of this topic😍🤩🙏
I have a mix of both female and manly features, both in my face and in my body. I think I'm a "soft dramatic", cause I can wear a lot of colours and big patterns without looking dressed out. Unfortunatly my eyes sits a bit to close and looks a bit deep, so I cant put too much eyeshadow. My jawline is also quite square. Thank god my lips are quite full, so I often focus on them, I look best in strong pink colours, like fuxia or cold reds.
I dressed out like a man on Halloween once and looked really good, but in real life I've never found a suit that fits me. My boobs are too big I guess😆

Super interesting as always! So i have prominent eyebrows, deepset eyes and a big nose - which are masculine features, i guess? But then i also have an oval face with delicate (though well-defined) cheekbones, chin and jawline. My eyes are also round, slightly upturned and on the bigger side (though deepset). And my lips are neither full or narrow. I suppose those are feminine features?
Does that mean i have classic essence?

How does this square with those of us with blunt wide features? I don't have any sharp features, but not much about my bone structure is round. I'm closer to a soft natural, especially in the face and I find it really frustrating trying to balance the natural and romantic components in my makeup.

I have more pronounced eyebrows and more deep set, bigger eyes, a straight slightly longer nose but smaller lips, more my upper lip is slim with a heavier bottom lip. I literally got mistaken for a guy as a kid this still hurts my ego haha. I don't even know what my face shape is. My forehead is big, and my chin is slightly slimmer than my forehead but it's also a bit round and square but my face is too long to be a square but my jaw is not wide enough to be a rectangle and my cheekbones are pretty pronounced giving me a slim face look. I literally don't look good with any hair style. My issue is that I have to tie my hair back for work. I currently have curtain bangs to hide my big forehead but they also make my face even slimmer. And bangs make my chin wider and rounder. Its so weird 😩

  • @cosmicionicc5134
    @cosmicionicc5134 วันที่ผ่านมา

Does having a bigger nose automatically make your face masculine? Because I have a bigger nose but I feel as if my face leans more feminine. Despite me having a longer face and larger nose, I have round eyes that are not deep set fuller lips q smaller jaw line and over all a smaller face. I often get really confused because on paper I feel like a large nose and longer face would make me more masculine but whenever I do masculine geared makeup it looks very out of place.
