Thank you for the video. I love my Nikkor 24mm F1.7 lens, but it costs three times more than the TTARTISAN. I just went to Amazon and bought the lens you recommended for $80. It's always good to have a backup lens 🙂. Thanks again. Edit: Amazon has it for $79 (50% off) for a limited time.
Hey POV friends! Would love to answer any questions you have about the TTArtisan AF 27mm f2.8. I put a link to the lens in the video description if you’re looking to pick one up 📷.
That picture of the kids near the pier... Just awesome, incredible picture. I'm trying to save some money to buy me a Z50. I own a D7200, but it's not in her prime state anymore, poor camera worked so much. Sadly Brazil currency is a lot weakned. And almost everything eletronic here comes from other countries and cameras are expensive a lot for the reality of a Brazilian. But your videos increased my desire for that little aps-c.
Hi Roland sorry to ask about out topic question on your video Cause most of the youtubers that i ask not answering my questions but you man your amazing most of my questions you answered me. My question is which is better z50 or Z6 based on your experience? Thanks
Hey, ask any question you like haha. That’s a tough one for me to answer because I’ve never used the Z6. The main difference between the 2 being the Z6 is full frame where the Z50 is APS-C (crop censor). I heard that Nikon discontinued the Z6 so you may only be able to buy it second hand. Not 100% certain on that. What are you looking to photograph?
A nice video Roland. I have the Nikkor Z 28 f2.8 lens for full frame, a lens I like a lot on my FX camera. Very similar to the TTartisans one you used (but no fancy aperture ring though). Your POV inspired me to try my 28mm out on the DX Z50 body too, should be interesting. I like the discipline a prime brings to photography.
Thank you! I’d say the pros of the TTArtisan over the 16-50 are wider aperture (f2.8 vs f4ish), all metal construction vs plastic, and I like having the aperture selection on the lens itself. Pros for 16-50 are more versatile focal range, built in Vibration reduction. They are pretty different beasts haha. I like prime lenses for there simplicity 👍🏼
Hi Roland, great work. A serious question here, how much do you use the EVF? I'm thinking to get the Z50 but people around me suggest to get the Z30 which has better charging port and flip screen. What's your take on this?
Thank you very much! That’s a good question. I actually use the EVF much more when not making videos. I tend to use the lcd to show you guys what the camera sees. If you can do without it though then the z30 is a great option. I wish the z50 had that flippy screen haha
@@RolandKaufmann Yea it's a tough choice haha. I watched so many photoshooting videos and I enjoy taking photos on my phone, this year I'm motivated to invest in it. Any reason if you would recommend beginners to have the EVF? Or it's down to personal preference?
@@vaporeon2822 if you’re used to the phone screen then the Z30 would feel pretty natural. I use the EVF for bright conditions or if I want to focus on something smaller. It is a personal preference
@@RolandKaufmann Just to let you know I got myself a Z50 with 16-50 kit lens today! Only able to bring it out for shooting at weekends. I hope my motivation stays.
Low tide is the best! Love walking on the sand. Good for minimalism :). 27/40mm FF Equivalent is a pretty sweet spot. Took some getting used to though haha.
Recently got into photography and digital art, after 2 months of searching for a good first camera deal i came up with these 2: a) Nikon Z50 w/ 16-50 and 50-250 for 1000$ b) Sony a6700 w/ 16-50 for 1500€ I really like the Nikon, the only thing that i am worried about is how old the Z50 is compared to the Sony a6700… I would like you to share your thoughts about my dilemma :) Keep up the good work, subbed
Hey, that’s a great question! What does the A6700 cost in dollars? Just so I know how much more money we’re talking about. I’d say that spec for spec the A6700 is a better camera body. It also has age on its side like you said. The Z50 is a great deal for what you get though! Build quality is top notch. Are there any other questions you have about the Z50?
I think you made the right choice! The 2 kit lenses are great for daytime photo/video. Plus a lot of 3rd party lens options for APS-C Z mount these days.
Another great video Roland. Just out of curiosity what mode do you shoot in the most? Are you a manual guy or do you prefer A mode more. You may have answered that somewhere else but thought I'd ask. Cheers!
@@RolandKaufmann Hi, I find that according to the EV scaleplate, your photos are always underexposure. I know in manual mode you don't have to care about it. But my point is How do you know the exposure is correct. Or maybe you tend to take underexposed photos and process them in lightroom?
@@RolandKaufmann Thank you! I am new to photography and got the Nikon Z50 + 18-140 kit lens several days ago. Very love to watch your vids to learn everything!

Awesome, thanks for letting me know! The price of the TTArtisan is the cherry on top. Pretty incredible what you get for the price. Enjoy your lens!
So happy to find a z50 channel!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you find something useful :)

Masterful editing man! Super clean, Impeccable vibes.
Thank you very much! It was a fun video to make 🙌🏼
You took some really incredible images with this lens! And a great POV photowalk... that hill tho! Also Dad's Rootbeer is the best rootbeer, lol
Thank you so much! That hill is no joke lol. And yes, Dad’s root beer is so damn good!
12:28 the black and white photo turned out good, I really like it!
Thanks! I really like that one too. Such a nice car :)

You should definitely try it. I’ve kind of been on the 40mm field of view for a bit now. It’s pretty nice for most things!
Inspiring as always! How would you say the Artisan lens compares to the 16-50 kit lens? What can the 27 do that the 16-50 can’t?

Just ordered the Z50 with the 2 kit lenses. I had a hard time choosing between the xt30ii, a6400, and Z50. Hope I made the right choice. 😂

Hey, thanks so much! I shoot in manual 100% of the time, it’s just instinctual now. I want to try out aperture and shutter priority modes one day.

@@bearfrye2177 yeah I tend to underexpose most of the time. Usually raise the shadows in Lightroom.
