- In today's POV I'm going on a trip down memory lane. A little over 2 years ago I started making Nikon Z 50 videos so it seemed like a good time to go back to the beginning! It was only fitting to go back and photograph the location of my very first POV video with the exact same set up. I really do believe that the Z 16-50mm and Z 50-250mm Kit Lenses are the best lenses you already have for the Nikon Z 50! These lenses were designed from the ground up for this camera body. While I stroll around taking pictures I also answered some of your questions from a recent Q&A. Thank you to those of you who participated in that. Hopefully I provided you with some useful answers. After 25 POV videos I feel like I'm just getting started. Excited for what the future brings for my photography journey! 🤍

POV #25 is in the books! Thank you to everyone that participated in the Q&A earlier in February. My answers to your questions are in this video 🤓. Appreciate you all!
Great stuff as always, thanks Roland.
Thank you! 😊
Great results with the Nikon Z DX system! Lovely pictures during your POV day.
Thanks for the kind words! The 2 kit lenses are truly amazing paired with the Z50. I’ll never get rid of them.
Well done brother!!! You got so damn good shots on this one! You can always join me in the mountains for a good photoshoot anytime! Looking forward to our next pov outing together
Thank you!! Appreciate it. Let’s get back in the mountains ASAP! How has it been a year since we did that rainy hike?? 😅
I love my Nikon z 50. Very enjoyable POV as usual. You inspired me to use 50-250 lens even more and I’ve got great results. Thank you.
Thank you! Amazing to hear you’re getting out there as well! The 50-250 has no business being as good is it is 😎.
@@RolandKaufmann Indeed, good and versatile. I also enjoy my small and light 28 and 40 lenses. With 40mm I get 3D pop on a budget.
@@michaelajoseph6856very cool! I’ve been looking at the 28mm for a while but I already have a 25mm TTArtisan lens. Seems a bit redundant haha.
Thank you for your answer! I hope you will become very soon a full time photographer!
Thanks again for the question! And thanks for believing in me :).
As always, thank you so much for the awesome video! I was wondering whether it would be possible to make a video using the nikon z50 "film recipes". I think they are under rated and should be explore more. Sometimes, I feel of just using jpegs to share with the family and friends.
Thank you again for your question! I enjoyed answering it :). Oh and that’s a pretty good idea. I love using the monochrome picture profile but there’s bound to be a few other good ones too.
Love your Z50 videos! Btw do you take the pics in RAW and edit in LR?
Thank you very much! Yes, I shoot RAW and then edit in Lightroom. You got it :).
If I had an Instagram, I would ask you: what do you think of the Nikon z5? And why did you choose z50?
Hey, the z5 is an interesting option. I went with the z50 because my budget was $1000 at the time. I was able to get it on sale for about that 2+ years ago. I also was interested because DX lenses are cheaper as well. If money is no issue, I’d recommend the z5. The z50 has been more than enough camera for me though. Still hasn’t slowed me down at all.
Have you tried the new EN-EL25a batteries for the z50? I just ordered one, interested to see how they preform.
I haven’t tried them yet. Could probably use them based on how often I swap batteries haha. Let me know if they’re any better.
12:06 you could have shot through that sign or wherever you call it. Would have been a cool picture maybe. 😀
May have been like a triangle ish shape with the tire in the center
Good eye! Oh I actually did haha. It was a decent shot but I liked the one with the text on the sign more. Every time I watch the GoPro footage I find photos I should have taken haha.
@@RolandKaufmann that’s funny, we think alike 😂. I did like the one you showed in the video as well! 😀
Hi i recently bought the z50 with 16-50 and love it so far, like it's so lightweight, small yet old school and produce great images. Since I'm just a beginner, do you have a video regarding setting up the cam since I have a few doubts related to the autofocus. I'm into cars and often take panning shots in traffic.
Hey, that’s awesome! I don’t have a setup video but I’ll do my best to answer any questions you have. What are your autofocus issues? I’ve taken a bunch of panning shots with the Z50 of cars and all kinds of things… :).
@@RolandKaufmann hey! Thanks for your reply...I tried some panning shots today and the camera worked really well, unfortunately I was stopped early by traffic police asking me not to take photos yk because they take bribes and all. Haha...guess they mistook me for a journalist which I am actually studying for... anyways I'm loving the z50 so far and will take some photos in another location where there's no traffic police otherwise what's the point of buying such an amazing camera.
I also saw your vids and I'm quite jealous how you can move around freely and take such great pictures because in my country it's a bit difficult to do that.
@@thenoobieditor oh wow I can’t imagine getting hassled by police over taking pictures 🥹. That’s too bad. I try not to take my privilege for granted! Everyone should be able to take photos in public.
@@RolandKaufmann that's how it is in India haha. Guess I have to start going in locations since roads are a bit tough for me.
Bought z50 after watching your vedios. But don't know much about Settings
Will you please make a vedio on best Setting with 16-50 , photography
Very cool to hear! I probably won’t be making a video on that specifically, but let me know what you’re struggling with in particular. I’ll answer your questions here :).
@@RolandKaufmann focus & sharpening issue
@@aakashmathur8100if you’re having trouble with focus try and make your focus point smaller to help your camera decide. I usually use single point AF so I can pick the exact area I want to be in focus. As for sharpness, it might be the case where you’re camera picked a shutter speed that is too slow for what you need. You may need to pick a faster shutter speed so your subject is not blurry. Let me know if that helps!
@@RolandKaufmann thanks for the reply
Привет из России! Отличная работа! Скажи пожалуйста что ты думаешь если взять Z50 тело + 18-140 объектив?
Hello and thank you! I will let you know if I ever pick up that lens. I don’t currently have it.
