    Gorgeous bag. You mentioned using edge feet on your Juki 1541 and wondered where you got them. I have the 1541S and the only foot was the regular walking foot which is sometimes too wide especially for zippers. I did purchase the right and left zipper feet but they are quite a job to attach each time. Thanks for all your videos. I've been sewing for more than 50 years and still learning new techniques from all the wonderful instructors on TH-cam.

      Hi Elaine! I purchased them from Cutex. I use the 1/8" foot the most; but they do come in sets of 3 (both left and right). About $40 for a set of 3. Indispensable!

    Thanks for the video and some great tips! I did not know about using cordura in the straps. Where do you get yours? This is a beautiful, professional bag. Thanks again for everything you do for the CBM group!

      Congratulations! You can find the edge feet for your 1541 on the Cutex Sewing Supplies website and also on ebay.

    That looks like a great stap making technique. I do one question though. How do you sew through the double sided tape without it gumming up the needle? Thanks.

    • @sewkelley
      @sewkelley  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks -- yes, it works great and no twisted straps. I don't have any issues with the DST gumming up my needle; but if it does, I just keep a little supply of alcohol wipes nearby and wipe down the needle.

    This was wonderful...soooo many great tips! Thank you for doing these videos! LOVE that quilted pink bag...did you add the quilting yourself or did you buy it like that? If purchased, would you mind sharing the source? It is awesome! 💗💗💗

    Soo beautiful!!! Love the color. Where did you get the pink vinyl? Would pellon fusible fleece work to give the bag structure? I used sew-in foam and it made it hard to top stitch the zipper. Thanks for the tips.

    • @sewkelley
      @sewkelley  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vinyl is from Mypunkbroidery.com; fusible fleece would be fine if the vinyl has good structure, like this one does (I am just a fan of foam). Be sure the foam is a good 3/8" away from top seam and you should be OK with final TS.

    Hi Kelley! How wide do you cut your cordura, please?

    • @sewkelley
      @sewkelley  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the project but for 1" straps, I use about 3/4".
