In this 4K ULTRA HD dash cam video, I'm Driving the Chicago Skyway into Chicago on I-90/I-94 in 4K Ultra HD. To start, I am heading west onto I-94 in Indiana until exit 16 which is for I-90 and the Indiana tollway. Once on the Indiana tollway, I'll follow I-90 as it crosses into Illinois which starts the Chicago Skyway and the city of Chicago. Once the skyway ends, we will rejoin I-94 and the Dan Ryan Expressway. We will drive the Dan Ryan until after passing I-290 which then the Day Ryan turns into the Kennedy expressway and we will drive on that until the I-90 & 94 split near Montrose ave.

As a former resident of Sprawling Business Park, TX (aka Dallas/Ft. Worth) I am so impressed with cities like Chicago which have actual rhyme and reason to their skylines. Truly an American treasure of a city. Would love to see an updated version to showcase all the new buildings!

Chicago ranks as one of the most congested cities in the world. So if you didn't get stuck consider yourself lucky. We get traffic jams even on nights, weekends, weekend nights
You’re not kidding! I got stuck in traffic on I-80 in Juliet just last week. I used to drive semi in and out of the Chicago area once or twice a week and I don’t miss that at all especially on a Friday afternoon or night!
@@Adventureswithtcs This past Sunday night i got stuck on inbound i90 Kennedy expressway near downtown at 10pm. It was a parking lot. There's a heavy traffic jam right now too but its 9pm Wednesday. People are still returning from work
@@Adventureswithtcs The Stevenson i55 backs up all the way to Romeoville/Joliet during rush hour. I80 is typically a bit better
@@justdrive5327 I have personally experienced the I-55 traffic stuck with a helpless feeling of trying to get to that I-55 truck stop stuck in traffic with my DOT timer in the red clicking to zeros.

Fun though oddball fact - Both the Indiana Toll Road and the Chicago Skyway were purchased by the same non-US company, but are operated independently of each other. Fun though oddball fact #2: The Skyway does not meet Interstate highway standards, and technically represents a "hole" in Interstate 90's mileage, though it is not signed as such.

I-90/Indiana Toll Road and Chicago Skyway between Gary and Southern Chicago is an alternate for I-94 via tolls. Most drivers use I-94 for avoiding tolls and what's worse is some congestion in I-80/I-94/US 6 between the south suburbs of Chicago and all the way to Gary. Some have to take I-90 for paying tolls to bypass the traffic of I-94.

@@RoadsOfAsiaBen, by the way, all of Japan and Indonesia's respective expressways are tolled. China have some expressways that are free and some are tolled, right? As I check Google Maps, I can't believe there's a lot of expressways all over Honshu and it also links Shikoku and Kyushu, but there are only a few in Hokkaido. Indonesia's expressways are only in Java and in southeastern Sumatra. Finally, China's expressway system is so spread out.
Thailand's expressway system is only within Bangkok and all the way to Pataya City and all of them are tolled.

Also about Thai expressway that you mentioned, the Bang Na Expressway (full name: Bang Na - Bang Phli - Bang Pakong Expressway) is the world's longest elevated expressway at 55 kilometer long (34 miles). It was opened in January 2000.
I'm from the Philippines and it has expressways too, well, all of them are tolled and they're all located in Luzon. One year ago, the Metro Manila Skyway was complete. The country is still expanding the Luzon Spine Expressway Network.

I get the gps data from the Gopro using Dashware and then use Davinci Resolve to make the video.
