    Dear John, What a great set up, really enjoyed that, especially the sharp chisel finish. I am just going about sorting out some old chisels and flattening some oil stones to make some sharp edges. Also some tape down that angle would stop the dirty finish. Alluminium always bleeds,just like scrubbed saucepans.Happy days,keep on keeping on.

    Nice one mate, I’ve got a little tool that trims the sides flush, I think the brand was Carbatec… works a treat, I remember when I was an apprentice we used an iron lol until that ABS came out

    Love your video and thanks for sharing.
    I'm thinking of building something similar. May I ask what type of heat gun did you use?

      This type of ABS are preglued and all you need is to heat it up and glue it up on your board.

    Gday Mr Babic, Simple but neat design. Most importantly it functions really well. Good on ya mate. Is there any chance you could let me know where you sourced the pre glued 1.6mm edging not sure if you mentioned it was PVC or ABS.

      Hello there and thanks for your time. The tape is preglued so there is no need for glue pot! Cheers

    Love the video John. Well done on coming up with the edge bander. Did you make your own kitchen cabinets, is this why you built this? Also after nearly 7 months how is the edge banding holding up on the boards? Thanks

      Thanks for your comment. Cabinetry is going strong and banding is still as it was a on first day

      @@zvonibab Thanks John. I've tried the iron stuff from Bunnings but find the thicker one like you have used looks much much better, and I believe Will last and look better for longer

    I'm sure you've already thought of the following and have the answer:
    If you apply more press downwards on the trimmer with your hand (for a test), will it produce sharper trimming, so as not to need the chisel?

    • @zvonibab
      @zvonibab  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You really need to push hatd in order to avoid chisel for me was easier this way. Cheers

    Pozdrav, gospodine Babiću! Odlučio sam da sam napravim kuhinju pa prikupljam informacije kako to da učinim. Dosta toga sam saznao, ali ipak ne sve što bih želeo da saznam pre nego se upustim u ovaj projekat. Voleo bih od vas da čujem savet kojom trakom da kantujem: 1) frontove elemenata (vrata i fioke), 2) otvorene police, 3) korpuse? Bio sam u dve prodavnice pločastog materijala koje vrše uslužno kantovanje i cene njihovih usluga su 80 din za 0,5 mm, 180 din za 2 mm, a 190 din za 1 mm ABS. Ne razumem zašto je ovakav odnos cena, tj 0,5 mm

      Sve je moguce ako je covijek dovoljno odvazan da krene i napravi prvi korak. Pvc je najjeftiniji jer se najlakse stavlja i lijepi na ivericu. ostali materijali su tezi ali nije nemoguce za izvesti. Bilo koji ABS je malko bogatijeg izgleda, teze ga je obraditi ali lijepse izgleda. Probajte zalijepiti pvc na malom komadu i isto to sa ABS trakom .Ako su rezovi cisti bez ostecenja obije trake ce lijepo izgledati. definitivno se isplati kad covijek radi sam , sve ono sto ste vidjeli na mom kanalu napravio sam sam u nekih nedjelju dana i sa svim materijalom nije kostalo vise od 500 AUD.
